Eureka Heights is a regular on the Kitchen Tap Takeover rotation, so I've tasted their beers on many occassions. This was the first time I've visited their tap room and I was glad I did. The tap room is spacious and parking plentiful. They have so many beers that you have a good chance of finding something you like (if you like beer). We swung by Euereka Heights for a birthday party recently and Yelp reminded me that I've never written their review, so here we are! Euereka Heights opened almost 10 years ago, and they've been a great neighborhood tap room ever since. If you've never had their beer, they have some fantastic options ranging from IPA's to light pilsners and everything in between. If you're not a beer person though, no worries, they thankfully have sparkling wine, and seltzer style cocktails to choose from as well. The interior is massive with two large warehouse rooms filled with picnic tables, tv's, and about 40 pinball machines. It's a great place to meet up with friends for a few pints, or to host a get together celebration. They don't have a kitchen offering food, BUT they do have a partnership with a food truck, so you're set on snacks after a brief walk outside. Speaking of outside, they have a large private parking lot for customers only so don't freak out about parallel parking on the street. Parking: They have a huge gravel lot and I see people parking on the street when it gets filled up. A huge taproom with pinball machines inside, split into pet- friendly and pet- restricted areas! If you smell bad, then Eurek. But if you want local beer, then Eureka. Absolutely enormous and popular brewery making pretty good products. As far as American beers go they are not bad. Some of the best in Houston. Maybe in Texas! As far as European beers go I just don't think they compare. A lot of people like to say that America has caught up with - or even surpassed - European stuff, but the good old European stuff tastes so much better to me. It's sort of like hipster food, it just doesn't do it for me. When you drive up, the passenger side is where they talk to you. They are great with suggestions. They asked us if we wanted our purchase in the backseat or the trunk. Had a fun time visiting this brewery for the first time and seeing some live music. The drinks were pretty good and not too expensive. There's tons of parking and also tons of seating indoors and out. The inside is pretty cool, looks like an old warehouse. There's only 2 stalls in the women's restroom, luckily I never had to wait. Come here. The service is amazing, the beer is probably the best I've ever tried. When they say these flavors are what to expect, expect to taste it in the beer. I've tried so many breweries out where you can't taste anything in the beer that they claim you should be able to. Their flavor profiles have depth and I love that they offer so many different flavors at any given time. As for what I highly recommend: Rose Nylund in Jan for Betty White's birthday is delicious! They make a lemon lime beer with lactose and it's spectacular. If they have their churro beer, get it. Tinsel trousers around Christmas, lavender bunny (a floral take on their classic buckle bunny which is also great)... I can't think of a single time I've ordered something I didn't like. So good. It's been about 4 years since I visited the brewery. The place looks great! Clean, lots of seating and the Mandalorian trivia was fun. We come to do a Thursday run club that is stationed at Eureka Heights and then do the 7pm bingo. This is a perfect location for something of that sort. We always have fun, and they have a good beer selection. They have plenty of seating, so I've never had an issue finding a place to sit. The workers are people we see weekly, and they are hard working. I also went for the World Series last year and watched the game on their big screen, and it was a blast. Waiting for over an hour and a half for food i already paid for. While other white customers get their food first. I literally saw an entire line of white customers get their food first while I was waiting like a second class customer. I went to a German festival not a racist event. It's hard not to feel discriminated when the management doesn't care. When I tried to close out I got told to get in an excessively long line. By the time, I got to the front I saw two white customers walk up to the front and close out no problem. If you are a person of color, stay away from this establishment. read more

Pretty tasty beers in a typical working brewery (ie a warehouse)! It reminded me a little of the old Avery location in Boulder (garage/warehouse with tons of patio spaces) so don't be surprised that they don't have an AC! We had a flight with most of their IPAs and a Mexican lager. The -1 star is from the Mexican lager which was so soury/lime flavored I could barely drink it. And that's hard for me to say! And, if you manage to stumble upon the owner, Casey, he is very polite, humble and excited about his craft! To the deep stuff. The beer itself. The classic is the Buckle Bunny. Its a nice, light and refreshing beer and you can't go wrong with it. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is the Moo Caliente. What? They put cayenne pepper into a milk stout??? OMG so good. Only bummer is that its a winter seasonal, so keep an eye out for it then. It's a simple but comfortable brewery. Solid selection of beers in the tap room to try. Not too crowded but still a good vibe. Pints range from $5-$8 or you can get a standard flight for $10 or build your own for a little more. I thought the standard flight gave us a nice sampling of the variety on offer but went back for the buckle bunny the most. The miniboss is also a nice citrusy IPA to try. I like that they're having fun with their brews. No food but there are rotating trucks on some nights.
