Karbach Brewing was on my list for what I feel like was probably for quite some time... at this point in my Yelping most of the breweries have been in my bookmarks for a while. So as I have said before it's a lot of fun to try these out when one of these bookmarked breweries can finally get tried out. Karbach Brewing was one of these breweries that were on this lengthy but steadily diminishing brewery list of mine. The beer that we had was a Kölsch beer by the name of Love Street. The flavor features to enjoy with this kölsch is a naturally sweet flavor along with a clean presence as well as a finish. The beer gives a slight warming feeling and is smooth in body. It's also very light bodied so not out of the realm of possibility of having more than one while hanging out. A very solid beer overall. read more

We went for the dachshund races this time & it was a good time! Apart from it being hot asss hell during the summer and following months, inside the restaurant it was nice enough to cool off. The food was pretty damn good, especially the flamin' hot macaroni balls, the sauce was 10-10! I highly suggest the mini-flight for those that aren't sure which beer/cider is for "them." Plus it gives you a chance to try a bit of everything! Service was 9/10 only because we were placed on a waitlist to sit inside & there were plenty of open tables too. read more

Brewery #387 Karbach is a very large craft brewery with a huge distribution network, so I have had some of their beers before. They have a full sit-down restaurant, bar, outdoor patio, biergarten, gift shop, barber shop, dentist....ok I may have made up the last 2. When we got here, we 1st went to their gift shop so I can get a sticker for my garage wall and ended up picking up a tin tacker too. They even threw in a few free glasses. Score! Everything was reasonably priced too. From there we went to the Biergarten because they had a huge TV to watch the football game. To my slight disappointment, the tap list outside was limited and they didn't have flights, so we went back inside. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and I got my flight. The tap list is very large, and they have 5 rotating tap room exclusives that they call "Fun Series". I always love to see this. Take notes Shiner! Their flights are 5 beers each (always love the larger flight boards.....also take more notes Shiner with your measly 3 beer flights) so I got 3 different IPA's, a brown ale and a pumpkin lager. I usually hate pumpkin beers, but this one was quite good. My favorite was the Rodeo Clown Double IPA. The lady friend was able to get a non-alcoholic beer that they also brew. We didn't get any food, but I will certainly be back to try it. read more

Can't go wrong with the Weisse Versa or Love Street. Tried a NEW (to me, anyway) beer 'Apfel'. Decent flavor with the fruity / sourish aftertaste but my heart belongs to Love Street. I really like Karbach! It had a fantastic outdoor seating area with benches and a roof. There are all of the classic karbach brand beers you can get. Karbach also hosts festivals so it's also a really nice place to go for events. Service was fast. If you want a beer, you just have to go to the tap and get a waiter. Otherwise you can order food from the indoor area via a QR code and pick it up. Super easy and super convenient. Perfect place to just be outside and grab a beer! read more

Came to Karbach and found out they're a part of Houston Restaurant Weeks so took advantage of their dinner menu. Overall the food was pretty solid and the portions were super filling so definitely a good bang for your buck. I'm not the biggest beer drinker so I can't tell what's good or bad so the beers/lagers/IPAs I tried there were all pretty decent in my very humble opinion. It's pretty spacious inside with table seating and bar seating. They also have outdoor seating but I didn't venture outside to get a close look at it. Service was nice and attentive, and they have a parking lot in the front that I can definitely see getting full during busy times since there were only maybe 2 available spots when I went at 4:30pm on a Saturday. read more

Their beers were decent, but the real winner was the ice cream sundae made with beer..that's pure genius. This place has gone way downhill over the last year! The only good part is the beer garden if you want to get food there, be ready for a few obstacles: Workers at the pizza place are very rude and aggressive. You are no longer allowed to sit in the patio area and order food if you have a dog. You will sit at your table for a very long time without ever being greeted. And today we were told we could have a table but we weren't allowed to order anything for at least 30 minutes because the kitchen couldn't keep up. This used to be the best brewery in Houston but I definitely recommend St Arnold, Walking Stick, or HTown to everyone now. read more

I've come here a few times with coworkers for lunch and happy hour. We always have a pretty good experience. The waiters are nice and depending on how busy it is they're pretty attentive regardless. I've tried a few of their appetizers like the brussels sprouts, pretzel, and chips and salsa. Big fan of the pretzel with cheese. The brussels sprouts are decent and the chips and salsa are standard nothing special. I've only tried the pizza and the Hot Honey and Pepperoni pizza is stellar! That is the reason we go. I found this place near my hotel. Only about one mile away--maybe 1.4 miles. I'm only in Houston one night before a few nights in San Antonio and a few nights in El Paso (Austin room cancelled on me last minute so no-go on that, and don't tell anyone, but they lost my support forever). Anyway, back to the good vibes! This place is pretty chill, which is to be expected on a Tuesday. The Korean Fried Chicken Bowl was very Korean and a little spicy. Nice kick. The beer here is good. Cool thing is you have a new entrance to the beer garden area, located in the strip center next door to the swag shop. I can't speak for the beer bc I don't drink it but they did have a couple seltzer and mixed drink options as well. On this date, I only got some food and socialized. I ordered from the app for the bar menu but you could also order pizza in another building. I just got the diced steak side and a side of fries. What caught my attention was this was probably the "largest" brewery venue i've visited; plenty of indoor dining, but 3-4x space outdoors on patio, covered tent, and picnic style areas - bring your party GROUP here on nice (warmer) days or see TV's available to watch your favorite game. Overall, 4.0+ rated for ambience, eats and smiling service. Expect to pay $6-8 for beers (or "flights"), and $12-15 for apps; salads and entrees also available. Today we stopped in to taste a few brews and grab a snack. Wide IPA's selections and lots of other local beers; and if not a beer fan, they have wine/cider options and more. Foodwise, ordered a "Pub" pizza with pepperoni, wagyu sausage and mushrooms to share, plus their Baked Goat Cheese app with fresh goat cheese, Sun-dried tomatoes, cranberries and candied pecans - baked warm served with toasted bread. Both were adequate portions for sharing and flavorful eats, complementing the brews ordered. What a fun night. All of the proceeds were being donated to a relief fund for hurricane victims. The band was spectacular and the audio was perfect for the venue size. We were able to snag the last poster from one of the walls thanks to the help of one of the staff members. Lots of updates since the last time I visited in 2018. We will be back! read more

Haven't been back to Karbach in awhile & glad we stopped by. A little has changed. Apparently 4 months ago they brought in a Pints & Pizza next door. So of course you can get beer and pizza there. The pizza is great, we ordered a white mushroom pizza and the three little pigs pizza. The size is good, easy to share two pizzas with six people. We also ordered from the restaurant at Karbach, and got wings (so glad they brought that back) and their truffle fries. The food came out pretty quickly, and it was just a nice day to sit outside and catch up with friends. I love that it's dog friendly, it seems like everyone who is there also loves dogs! I was curious about how the restaurant would be like and really wanted to try out the food and other beers on tap yall have. We came here because they were hosting a BBQ school for the HLSR. This place is huge and truly something for everyone! Our event room was very nice and had bathrooms nearby. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs, an outside hang out area, a covered outside bar area, and a pizza and beer joint- so take your pick! Plenty of parking as well. I had the pleasure of trying their blonde and it was night and light, refreshing to have a cold beer on a hot day! Service was friendly.
