This so such an amazing venue! I was at a library event and had a great time. The band was great. The drinks were good. All the staff here were amazing! Thank you!

This place is super chill and had a great plant market going on. It is a beer garden so they had many beer options to choose from and then seating inside and outside. After checking out the booths outside I enjoyed time in the hammocks and soaking in the sun. I can't drink right now but I plan to come back to check out the beer options. Otherwise this place is a vibe and hope you can experience the zen I did. Happy Yelping!

Genuinely one of the best beer gardens I have ever been to! Great selection of drinks, incredible backyard vibe, and staff was really wonderful, helping me charge my phone which I use as a medical device. I came in on st Patrick's day with some friends and genuinely had one of the best afternoons I've maybe ever had, mostly because of the incredible atmosphere of Axelrad!

Stopped in on Saturday afternoon and it was happy hour! We had a couple rounds of $3 mimosas and had a wonderful time sitting ob the upstairs patio. The service was great. We got our first round at the bar and ordered subsequent rounds through the QR code on the table and the drinks were brought right up to us! We'll be back to actually try their beers.

Did not order food but Luigi's has great pizza. We service is pretty much hands off and laize-faire. The ambiance is extremely relaxing. Good music and swinging ham hocks. Nice natural environment. Very chill vibe.

Amazing chill spot for drinks, live music, patio seating, bar/night life and even food. Place has it all. Very spacious outdoor seating. There's an upstairs "attic" where musical talent performs. There's a big stage out on the patio area. Right behind the stage area there's a pizza joint that's conveniently attached to the venue. It's described on here as a beer garden, but they are a great cocktail spot and always have delicious specials. This is a must-try Houston bar spot - there's literally something for everyone. They stay open late, and are great for whatever speed you're going for. Staff is attentive. Sometimes it can get backed up. This is especially true for the bathrooms (they added some on the outside). Parking is either street, or a medium size lots across the street. Overall, I love it and I come from a far distance (North Houston) to have a good time here.

The management team here really kind and friendly. I greatly appreciate the assistance whereas they contact the management of the lot who claim they have nothing to do with boots. And the owner of the lot Sandy is a joke. She never answer the phone and voice mail is fulll. Obviously this is a money grab. I greatly appreciate the manager offering me a drink. I tried the frozen drink I seen that looks great. But opted for a class of rosé I've paid $140. Waited in my car for over an hour. And no one came. Even though the flyer say 15-30 mins after payment. And I also sent photos of the prof of payment

I've been to Axelrad several times and always enjoy my time. They share the outdoor space with Luigi's pizza. The bar is always pretty quick in serving you and I really never had a bad visit. I love the hammocks and lit up tree outside. They have a lot of different beers and also serve cocktails for those who don't like beer or just want something different. I think it's a cool easy going place to have drink and a chat.

I don't think there's anything I can say about Axelrad that hasn't already been said! Awesome spot to hang out, plenty of options for beer, water cups are always available. Tuesdays at 7, Axelrad hosts a huge run club (unaffiliated with the business I think; it's a community thing). So if you're planning on coming between 6:30-8PM... Good luck with parking! You'll probably have to go a few streets down. I don't think you have to be 21+ to run, since I see plenty of people without wristbands and they offer a nonalcoholic option for runners. The taco truck there is quite expensive ($12.99 for 3 tacos). I'd suggest going a few streets down to a truck somewhere else.

I had such a great time here! I was here for a large group meet-up and immediately appreciated the giant heat lamps located all around as it was very very cold. The outdoor area was spacious and could accommodate all of us. I was so impressed by the service of the employees who made a point to find us and let us know we needed wristbands past a certain point. The mocktails were also wonderful! The Briney Melon Refresher, was unsurprisingly, refreshing! I loved the crisp, yet tangy and citrusy flavor of the drink. The fact that food from the nearby restaurants were also allowed to be eaten at the tables, was also so appreciated. There are food trucks around and everything is pretty close by. A great spot for any size group, regardless of the weather!

How have I not written a review for Axelrad?! I've been coming here since my early college days in 2015! One thing that makes this place a Houston institution is their consistency! Vibes here are always 10/10 Food wise, you can't go wrong with Luigi's Pizza next door. Hot, fresh, and made to order. Otherwise, they usually have a rotating food stall. I personally like coming here for their steak night. Drink wise, Axelrad started originally as a beer garden. Honestly, they probably had one of the largest beers on tap selection in Houston originally. Nowadays, Axelrad added an outdoor bar and now they serve cocktails too. Service is on point now that they have 2 bars. Even during peak times on weekends, the wait isn't too long. I also like how much space there is at Axelrad, it never feels too crowded. Vibes wise, this is a great place to hang out with friends or to go on a casual date night. They sometimes have live bands, during the playoffs they'll show Astros games, and tons of other fun events. They also have a variety of seating whether you want to be indoors, long communal tables, hammocks, or there's some tables upstairs too. Overall, Axelrad is a great bar that I'll continue coming here for years to come, cheers!

Pit stop on the way to Hobby Airport. Nice selection of beers and some cocktails. Looks like they share the beer garden with Luigi's Pizzeria. Nice vibe outside. Plenty of seating, shade and fans

Had a reunion with my fellow scholarship recipients and had a blast! The drinks weren't crazy expensive (although I did only have 1, the one where they donate the proceeds to a local dog shelter), they were reasonably priced. The back had amazing ambiance, it was super chill and laid back. I heard there was also a comedy show being hosted at the second level, where my friends went and they had a blast while I stayed in the back with the others. The bartenders were cool as well and the drinks came speedily (I and 3 others ordered at one after another and we didn't even wait any longer than 4 minutes for our drinks to be made, processed, and paid). I also heard they sometimes host DJs and do anime nights here like Cowboy Bebop which, because it is one of my favorite animes out there, was amazing to hear and I'm excited to come back to attend more events!

Through these doors is where the vibes begin!

It felt like a place you could hang out for a while, whether you're there to celebrate something or just have a few drinks with friends. One thing to note is they don't serve food, I did hear they rotate food trucks at times, but none were there when we went which was a bit of a downside, but they did allow us to bring in outside food, which honestly made up for it and gave us more options. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise.
