My husband and I decided to go tonAllure to hermit of the house on a Friday night. We've been here before which is why we decided to return. It wasn't as busy as it normally is but it was still a decent amount of people. The DJ is always good and it's an overall good vibe. We ordered tacos and they were pretty good as well. It's always nice to be able to order food when you are drinking. Our waitress Talia was very attentive and friendly, she was also knowledgeable about things we asked her about. The only complaint was there was only one bartender working so the drinks were slow almost to the point of frustration. Also the $5 lemon drops leave a lot to be desired, but aren't horrible. The lounge is nice but due to this reason, I am giving them a low rating. I have tried to book a reservation for a group in advance. I reached out to them by phone 3 times and left a voicemail. I also sent DM on their IG account 2 times. ( This was within a 2 month period) I only received one DM saying they would forward my request and I never received another message or call back. I was just a bit disappointed since I've been here before and love the atmosphere. If you want to grab a drink and chill, this is definitely the place for you. Came here the day after Thanksgiving with my family. The food was pretty good for bar food. I had the shrimp and fries. Menu was slightly overpriced in my opinion, but expected in the Houston and surrounding areas. The lemon drops were $5 though on Friday. Very tart. There was only one bartender so the wait times were extremely long. I actually received my food before my first drink. Our waitress was very sweet though. And she did her best because it did get busy in there at times. The DJ was good and everyone who work there down to the security was extremely nice. I would definitely go back. It's my first time coming to this establishment and possibly my last. The ambience is beautiful and they have a dj, however it's more club vibes, I definitely wouldn't bring a date here because you will not hear them at all! The service was okay, we walked inside there is no host and everyone walks past you, we had to follow someone and ask where we can sit, just to be told you can sit anywhere. Most establishments have a sign saying so. Once we placed our order, it took roughly an hour for our food. I'm 100% our waitress forgot about us. My mother ordered the fried whole fish and dirty rice, the rice had been sitting out due to it being cold but, the fish was hot. She said it was okay. I ordered the Cajun Grits with a lobster tail. Everything was salty, I didn't finish anything. Once we left, I actually left and got food somewhere else and went home. I'm not sure if the owner or manager was in building if so he catered to one table and their stuff was coming out very quickly while we waited an hour for our cold and salty food. I stumbled open this place looking for a good brunch spot closer to my home with my sister. Came in around 3-4 with brunch menu ending at 6 so we had plenty time. We sat outside to soak up sunnyD and ordered 2 sidecars, a dirty martini and a hookah to start. The music wasn't too loud so conversing was super easy and highly appreciated. Our waiter was a beauty and super friendly btw. I ate the chicken and waffles; waffles are mini belgians and it was pretty good. My sister got the catfish and grits but didn't enjoy how bland the grits were -- catfish was gone though. My bonus sister ordered the fried red snapper and my goodness was that so delicious! Very clean and well presented. All in all, we had a wonderful experience and plan to be back in the future. read more
