Steak night advertisement is why I came on a Wednesday from it's Instagram page. From the entrance there's nothing like this place. Outside inside, wood built bar, 2 stories, gravel rocks parking and grass entrance. Has the feel of a local crawfish spot but good hole in the wall joint, with good food good prices drinks and vibes. Everyone here either greeted with a smile or greeted with a hi. That's right, leave your worries home, and any bitterness you have on your chest, cause this isn't the place for it. No kiddos here or young folks either. Closes 2am every night. Seems like a more club on the weekend, I can only imagine with alot of open flooring space and a DJ nightly. Grown Grown here. This place... I should of been coming a long time ago. This place is Underrated. Forget your chain bars these days, this is where it's at. Bathrooms, and tables and service everywhere. Behind a Shipley's donut along side the feeder road. You'll miss this place if you blink. Sat up top for the views, FIRST TIME. Fans are near seating so you're not hot. Food is ordered downstairs but they bring it to you wherever. But drinks can be ordered any area in here. MULTIPLE BARS INSIDE A BAR. Steak was tender. But wanted Medium well, it was more like Medium, but turned out better than I normally thought. Seasoned, butter and savory hands down, and potatoes was well done, and fully loaded. Drinks were stiff here as well. I can only imagine a Fri-Sun night... more crowded, probably standing at times for a seat. Parking lot is first come first serve, very limited. We went here during the daytime, late afternoon. The venue is a large space with two bars, indoor and one outdoor. They feature darts and a pool table on the inside with corn hole on the outside and live music occasionally. The bartender (José) and manager were welcoming and conversational while showing professionalism and genuine care. We played three rounds of pool and three rounds of cornhole. The pool table's felt has very low rolling resistance and is perfectly level, and they have well maintained pool sticks with chalk and powder for those with very moist hands. The whole venue is well built and has a lot of open space, with copious tables and seating. We will be back to Humble Backyard to have fun when it is jamming with people read more

We went and where should I begin??? I wanted to try this place since I heard of it a while back and since its around my old neighborhood I was so excited to finally go. I was definitely disappointed. We got there early and the place wasnt busy not even busy once people started showing up. Don't want to sound like a "Karen" but uff!! It was just bad. It took a while between drinks and don't get me started on the food. I thought service would pick up when we saw 1 or 2 other waitresses show up as time went by but it was the same. They said they had bartenders they had one inside and the 2nd one seemed more of a cook even cus she kept bringing food orders to tables vs wait staff. It was so slow that people were even going inside to get drinks/beer buckets and it seemed "faster" in some way. I was surprised how little the mimosa came with or maybe it was just the big glass. Micheladas weren't that great and idk what they use in it or on the rim but it had a crawfish seasoning taste to them. Same for their bloody Mary.For it to have too much on and in it it was very basic w/out flavor. When I saw how slow food was coming out I just decided to eat the slider that came with the Mary. came for the first time to watch the soccer league, and the customer service was absolutely terrible!! Sheila was our waitress and she didn't greet us, barely checked on us, and had an ugly attitude when we asked her for our order, she seemed very mad or irritated but that's not our fault as customers. I ordered a drink and I did not like it whatsoever so I nicely asked her if I can change it out for another and she said no that they can't do that and didn't even attempt to help us. Great space. Huge patio area where I'm sure they have a band from time to time. The day we came it was pouring down raining, but don't worry, they have an indoor area and some covered outside. I didn't really get a chance to taste the food because they had someone there giving out free crawfish and it's some of the best that I've had since New Orleans! My sis had the birria tacos and she sweared by them. I'm pretty sure she went back a couple days later, this is important because it was probably a 40min drive for her. The service was great. OMG! This place has potential but, So, I attended 'backyard fest' . Some great bands were performing but this place was ill prepared for this event. The sound system for two stages came across as a cacophony of noise with the two stages to close together for any quality at all. Waitstaff was hard to locate and many menu items were 'sold out' by 5:00. Drinks were overpriced but the underage patrons didn't mind. Hundreds in attendance had to wait in line for the ONE BATHROOM . I think the health department and TABC should give them a complete inspection.. read more

My family and I visited this place a few weekends ago around 4/5 pm. They have an upstairs area, patio with games and an inside area with pool tables. I can't speak for night time but during the day it is definitely kid friendly. I can't remember our waitress name but she was awesome! The food was really good. I enjoyed the lemon pepper wings and I had the buffalo sauce on the side. The birria tacos and birria ramen were really good but the ramen is spicy! We tried a little bit of everything. The drinks are okay. The rum punch was a little sweet for me. The house margarita is okay. I was adding a shot of grand marnier to add some kick. The gummy bear shots were good as well. A perk is at 5pm on Saturdays they have someone giving out a lb. of crawfish to each guest. I'm not sure if this is a every weekend thing but the crawfish was really good and juicy. Ok the cookers are amazing for tailgating but I am not sure I love the restaurant bar establishment. I think it's just too hot to sit outside and there no breeze or shade. You basically have to wait for the sun to go down then you can just deal with humidity. More working fans would be ideal. I basically come for the DJ and the Wednesday night steaks. I absolutely hate that I can't order until 6pm, the line is long, its hot as hell as I have to wait at least 1.5 hours to get my steak and potato. If you get lucky. If you come too late no potato or may be no steak. First come first serve. The only enjoyable part of this misery is the DJ plays very good music - mixture of all the right genre's and best hits of all generations. As I complain, the only thing that makes it all this worthwhile is the staff and that damn steak! It's amazing and keeps me going back and putting myself in this sketchy sauna to wait lol. The inside is nice minus the restrooms, but the DJ can't be heard in there, so we sit outside. I can't wait for fall winter, I may be there every Wednesday for that steak. It's that good! Was there this weekend on Friday, this establishment is great to hang out or go to on Steak Night, but the pricing for the liquor is unbelievable, i don't think the bartender knew the pricing for a top shelf margarita which ended up being close to $21.00 they had to ask how to charge it and ended up reflecting on the ticket as two separate drinks its no wonder your menu doesn't have pricing on their it's easier to make up a price. Oh and i think the DJ has a fixation on Cardi B, cause that was all he played that night. Need to know how to change it up a bit, the Patrons were playing better songs on the TouchTunes. read more

Plenty of places to sit and still see the stage where they have live music on a schedule. If you seat yourself you will eventually be greeted by a waitress to take your order. We were invited by friends for their special steak and pork chop night. It was our first time here and we had a great experience. The energy from the DJ and people around talking, laughing, dancing and enjoying their time was such a good vibe. The crowd was so diverse, I love it. Glad we came with friends who are regular customers here and know the loops in ordering ahead. The food was delicious, even though my steak was overcooked it was seasoned well. Next time, I know to get it a little undercooked like a medium rare. My husband was pleased with his pork chop and so was a friend who ordered another pork chop plate after trying his. The wings were on point too with crispy skin, tender and juicy inside (yup finger licking good). When I get a buzz on my first drink (and I'm not a light weight) I know the bartender didn't cheap out so much recognition to the bartender who knows how to mix a drink . I am in Houston only for one night and wanted to hear some live music last night after dinner. I was happy to find this place. It's such a cute place, it is sort of outdoors and it was a little chilly so I wish I would have had a sweatshirt or light jacket. The music was fantastic, it was AJ Santana. He was really great. There was only one server for the whole place so sometimes it took a little bit to get your drink. For my last drink I juts went down to the bar and got it, no big deal at all. The waitress and bartenders were very pleasant and nice. They have a GF cider on tap which was great because I get tired of places only having Angry Orchard.
