What you see is what you get! No frills classic country bar/saloon! Nice location close to the airport so we stopped by here while waiting for our friend to arrive. I got a glass of wine, they did not have bubbles unfortunately, and my friend ordered a beer. As far as price and service, can't be beat! The decor is very country/southern. I highly recommend Hoot County Saloon. It is truly a neighborhood bar that welcomes "out of towner's" with open arms. I stayed in a nearby hotel and, of course, researched local restaurants and bars nearby. Hoot County Saloon stood out among the rest. Hoot's is a locally themed sports bar favored by locals, which means, they have already selected Hoot's based on atmosphere, service, drinks, and prices. Arriving on a Sunday afternoon, I was way early for the local patrons. The nice lady bartender took good care of me and provided an overview of the local restaurants nearby. While Hoot's does not serve food, you are welcome to order from the wide variety of nearby restaurants, including the newly opened venues like GuanaTos Grub, just a few yards from Hoot's. I highly recommend Hoot's. I would have rated them 5 Stars if they had pre-arranged food options with nearby restaurants. read more

Great place! We brought our friends from out of town here for a beer after their flight and it was a great welcoming experience.

It was a nice sunny day so I was running errands and stopped here to get a drink and I enjoyed myself! They had drinks for under $5. Wells beer and wine for $3 you can't beat that with a stick. It was middle of the day during the week so it wasn't very packed when I went. The bartender was so nice and explained the weekly specials well. I tried the Bourbon and Coke and the Sex on the Beach. Both were good but the Sex on the Beach hit the spot! It was there perfect drink to enjoy on a beautiful sunny day. I sat outside in the gazebo and enjoy they weather with my drink in hand. This place is near IAH airport which is quite a journey. But if you in the area I recommend coming here. read more

There's a certain poetry about a place that has antiques hung from the ceiling. Just a small hole in the wall with a nice little Texas charm that I like. Full bar, several beers and only 4 wines but hey, its just a little place so I'm not surprised. Not sure why the old reviews are still there about a bad bartender because mine was attentive and on top of her stuff. It was slow when I went and she kept busy. Prices are fair, service is almost always good, typical bar atmosphere. Usually quite during the day, can get a bit busy at night and on weekends as you might expect. Chilling here today, was flying standby out of IAH, flight was overbooked, so gonna stay an extra day. Flying standby (Brother is a Captain for an airline,) I pay about $38 in taxes for flight, regular fare is north of $400, so, I'll take my chances on standby. They do not serve any food, but there are about 6 restaurants in this strip mall that you can order food from and some will deliver to you inside the bar. We stop in here anytime we are in Hotel Row at IAH for an overnight stay. It's a better stop earlier in the day because they serve NO food, but there are a few great spots for Mexican, Pizza and I think Indian in the same strip mall. Beer is cold. Prices decent ... the service is hot or miss. You will never be bored people watching. It has a pool table and a few other little fun things but for the most part it's generally a standard local bar. Nice, bra! 3) There is a horse in the corner and a working piano next to it. 4) Outdoor seating in the front and in the back. 5) A clean head for the ladies. They have a decent draught beer selection. Everything from BUD heavy to BUD light. Fat Tire. I had an excellent IPA. Probably 8-10 beers on tap plus a bottle selection, and liquor selection. They have some poker machines, a pool table, some darts, and a jukebox. There is absolutely no food served here, but they will allow you to bring outside food in. Suddenly it kicked in the second hour. They don't serve any food, but let you bring it in from other places (on a Saturday night, your only choices in the strip mall are Subway or Chinese).
