    The best company!
    Karina N.

I'm so glad my friend brought me here. It was a really pleasant discovery! I didn't know what to expect but we had such a nice experience. First of all, it's a real speakeasy! The bartenders are dressed to the nines in 20's wardrobe. They have live music! We really enjoyed it. The drinks were awesome! But my favorite was the arugula prosciutto pizza! Wow! I discovered they make their dough from scratch! That was a real treat! I definitely recommend this place. Even if you aren't not close to their location, make a special trip! Service is great!

What a great little place for having a cocktail and getting up close to live musicians. Parking is fabulous. The vibe is relaxed and casual and the drinks strong.

    Old Fashioned and Mai Tai

Nice little bar that makes great drinks. I've been to Hawaii and it's really hard to find a real Mai tai in the Houston area. This one is a close second to the Mai tai at Monkey POD in Oahu. We will definitely be back again and again. My husband really enjoyed his old fashioned.

    Great musician...terrible service.
    Marty H.

Sadly, the musician was fantastic. Two tables with people...had to go up and ask for a beer twice. You can't get repeat customers when customer service is terrible. When I went up to ask for another beverage she was buried in her cell phone. I just don't get it.

Website screenshot showing events listed on 2/8/25, but when we got there, they were closed with no signage as to why.

Tried to go last night. Their website listed live music 7-10 pm. We got there about 7:30 pm, but it was completely closed. We weren't the only ones milling about and confused. We tried calling and no one answered. No signs on the doors. I'm really bummed, I was very much looking forward to experiencing this speakeasy as I'd heard great things.

BEST PLACE EVER ! All the bartenders are badass and work so hard. And Toby and Damon are very respectful they always talk to the customers. But overall Juliette the bar dog J's my favorite

This ecclectic cocktail bar is a wonderful place night or day for great cocktails and good live music . The bartenders are always friendly ready to craft any cocktail you desire !

    Menu on newspaper so clever

Nestled in between the shops this quaint speakeasy bar in old town spring is dark and sultry. We did not try the food but from menu looks to be just quick bites. However the drinks were amazing and vibe on Halloween weekend was on point! Definitely going back.

Drink menu is printed on newspaper!

I love most of the appetizers. The pork belly bites are delicious. The dates are good. The wings are also tasty. Honestly, I could go on and on. I expected an upscale, warm, romantic, cozy atmosphere which was the description I read. The prices are upscale but that's the extend of it. The restaurant inside is a bar with some tables scattered around. It didn't exude a warm or romantic vibe. The pictures make it look like it's on a nice piece of land with great views but it's just on a street among other businesses and there's a yard area. We ordered an appetizer, which was tasty. I think it was crab rangoon, honestly I forget but I do recall it was good. My husband has chicken parmigiana and I had a pizza. The chicken dish was good. The sauce was good and the chicken was juicy. My pizza, while it tasted good and the ingredients were fresh, was burnt on the bottom. I also would've liked the spinach to be placed by the sauce and cheese so it could cook a bit instead of on top...it was a little dry. I'd say give it a try but definitely be prepared for a more casual than romantic dinner and a higher price point.

Our waitress was Zoe and she set the bar high! As soon as we were seated Zoe hurried to our table to take our drink orders and since it was our first time, she gave us a little history about the restaurant and walked us through the menu and her favorites, she even offered us a tour of the place. I was truly amazed by the attention she gave us. The food came out extra hot and fresh I ordered the Double Cut Pork Chop 18oz, my hubby had the New York Strip 14oz and my daughter had Sliders from the kid's menu. The Pork Chop was so juicy, tender and full of flavor, I just loved the smokey flavor. The steak was made to his liking and was also juicy a thick cut and the mashed potatoes paired with these entrees are some of the best I have had. The whiskey cake was moist and you could definitely taste the whiskey in it, yum! Ambiance, this place was neat it almost felt like an experience. Zoe mentioned that the place had original hardwood floors since the place opened and was the only establishment near the railroad during the 1900s. The restaurant has multiple floors and plenty of seating. There is always plenty of parking, even if you have to walk a block or two, but they do have paid parking around the corner. We obviously enjoyed this restaurant so much we have returned multiple times, but nobody has topped Zoe's customer service.

If you pay attention to the daily specials, you can do really well in terms of value. Sunday's pork chop dinner for $19 is regularly priced at $42, for example. (Please see my photo of the daily specials board.) That said, this former bordello does have some downsides, which I need to mention: First, it is too loud -- nothing sound-absorbing in the place, and the jazz music recording was turned up the day we were there. This caused communication problems with the waiter, who misheard me, and I really couldn't hear what he was saying. This is not an intimate spot for deep conversations. Second, parking is a challenge. No parking lot. There are some spaces across the street along the railroad tracks, but not enough. I parked on the other side of the tracks and hiked over the rails, but that is a little dangerous. There are some $ 5-a-day parking lots up the road. Is the pork chop better than Perry's? I liked the mashed potatoes, and the meat was properly prepared for sure, but the seasoning was not exactly right for me -- I think they added cinnamon, though my wife thinks it was allspice, and a hint of sugar. An East Texas sort of flavor--I prefer Perry's. But a close second for sure. Allec, I can't find your card, so I know I am spelling your name wrong, but you were a great waiter, and so I am giving this shack a 5.

And let me tell you--that shift made all the difference. It gave us the relaxed, low-pressure vibe we needed to actually talk and enjoy each other's company without feeling rushed or crowded. We ordered a round of drinks and a few appetizers: Three pepper queso (definitely a win) Cheeseburger egg rolls (yes... and yes again) Crab egg rolls (...we'll just say these didn't make the highlight reel) Everything hit except the crab egg rolls--they just weren't giving what they were supposed to give. What I really liked about this spot is that it's not just a sit-and-eat place--it's an experience. They've got pool tables, basketball hoop games, cornhole, and even karaoke studios. We didn't tap into that this time, but trust--we already said next visit is game night. There's also outdoor seating if you want to switch up the vibe. It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go.
