OK, so the experience was pretty awesome. The things that I loved were the vast amount of cocktails, the vibes/decor, and the fact that I knew when I made the reservation exactly what to expect. The not so favorites, make sure that you park in the back as the entrance is there. The staff wasn't super great. There were probably only a total of four couples and two of those couples were at the bar. I wish we would've sat at the bar because the bartenders seemed to be way more into the experience than our server. And the price is super expensive for what you're getting. Entrance to this speakeasy bar is through the back door, there will be caution written on the door, however someone at the brewery next door told me to knock 17 times!! The security got a kick out of that, and the door was not locked. Reservations recommended, they are busy during the weekend. This place is SO COOL. I had no idea that there was a cocktail lounge like this up in Spring!! The decor is really cool - very 1920's/prohibition style. Lots of lounge chairs and love seats and bar seating. My friend asked for a mocktail and the bartender made her a "fruity" one that was really delicious and refreshing. I got a cucumber and mint cocktail (I cannot find or remember the name). It was really refreshing and I enjoyed it, but I will probably try something new the next time that I go back. I CANNOT say enough amazing things about this place! My husband and I were in town for a graduation party and we decided to try The Blind Finch to wind down the evening. He and I had never been to a speakeasy before and now I will be trying to find one every where I go! The ambiance inside of this place is wonderful. Intimate while still lively. The decor is perfect for the occasion and we loved that it was a smaller place so even though it was full, you still have a feeling of privacy. Even though GPS did its job, we had a hard time finding the place. The entrance is located in the back of the building and has a sign that says "Closed" on it, although if you read the writing its clear that it's part of the setting the scene. When we walked in we were greeted by Wendy who did such an amazing job all night that we thought she was one of the managers. Zoe was the server who took care of us and she was great! It looked like she was working the room on her own, but she still managed to check on us enough that we never felt ignored, but not so much that it was intrusive. She even went the extra mile and got my husband some extra bread for the hummus right when the kitchen was closing. All the food was fantastic! We had the Spicy Devil Eggs and the Finch Dip. Both were the perfect sizes to go along with our drinks as we weren't expecting a full menu - just some bites to eat. Of course, the man attraction was the drinks. Danny was our bartender and he absolutely killed it! First, my husband ordered the Underdressed cocktail and Danny came to our table personally to let us know he didn't have all the ingredients and offer recommendations. My husband decided to go with a Dapper Dan (loved it!) and I had the Queen of Hearts which was equally as tasty. We found out Danny makes a mean sazerac (IYKYK!!) and that was our 2nd, 4th and 5th drinks for the evening...lol. I absolutely loved this bar! It was such a fun experience and the bar was absolutely beautiful! The entrance to the bar is a bit difficult to find but I think that adds to the whole experience. Once we arrived we were welcomed and immediately seated at a table first, then promised once two bar seats opened up that he would move us to the bar. They had a live pianist which was so wonderful as well! It took a while for the drinks to come out but it wasn't a huge deal for us. The winding hallway with such amazing artwork and decorations is a great touch. The ambiance is a 1920s upper class kind of feel. Speaking of attire, from what I understand, this establishment does not allow just anyone to go back there. It does require a slighter nicer casual dress. So no shorts and a tshirt. Came here last night for the first time with friends who come here regularly. The decor and overall vibe is super cute. It's definitely small but that adds to the coziness and makes it feel more private. The drink menu is limited, but they will basically make you anything you want which is nice. I also liked that even though this place is more upscale, it still has a casualness to it. The couches are very comfy and I like that it's not loud so you can actually have conversations with people. I had the Aye Chihuahua which did not have anything spicy listed in the description, yet came out very very spicy. I still enjoyed it and drank the whole thing.
