This is our second time here and we need to come more often. We had the bacon wrapped dates with balsamic glaze dipping sauce appetizer delicious needed like 10 more of those. And we each ordered the BLTA entree. Instead of bacon the meat was pork belly and the avocado was ripe and sliced thick. No skimping on anything. Came here after the little tea house place across the street had too long of a wait. We were seated right away. The lady who took care of us was very welcoming and friendly. I had a frose which was delicious! They asked if I wanted to swirl sangria and frose, but I declined (maybe next time. There WILL be a next time) I only had the goat cheese balls and Margherita pizza. Both were very good. Nice, intimate spot for a date night or casual girls night. Only thing I don't like about OTS is the parking. Did have to walk a couple of blocks, but that's not envy's fault. Just know that it's street parking only, no private lot. I used to love this restaurant and came several times a week as a wine club member, but the service and atmosphere have completely changed. There's been constant staff turnover, maybe not the core staff but many many wonderful servers have come and gone, and the friendly team that once made this place feel special is gone. One server, Nicole, has been consistently rude and condescending, and management showed no concern when I canceled my membership in person. It's clear they no longer value loyal customers, which is disappointing after so much support. So glad we found this spot. It's located in old town Spring next to Prohibition. It has a wine shop, merchandise shop, wine bar, and dining area. Wine lovers will obviously love it here. They have a ton of wine options and the staff is very knowledgeable so if you're unsure of what you want, they'll point you to the right direction for your wine specifications. Or you can do the wine sample flights which is 4 samples of wine picked by the house. The one that stood out to me was their red blend consisting of 81% Zinfandel which is one of my favorite types of wine. Easily drinkable and right amount of dryness. Also they have a large food menu to pair with your wine. Thursday they have a steak night special where you get a 10 oz Ribeye with roasted potatoes and broccolini for only $13.50 which is a bargain. They also have delicious pizza such as the italian pizza that my date ordered. Other items that jumped out are the signature fries options, charcuterie board, pork belly bites, and salad options. They've got something for everyone! They've seemed to adapt to COVID ok. They mentioned they'll open up more seating once cases go down and more people get vaccinated. This is one of the only wine bars currently at Old Town Spring (that we could find). Ordered the goat cheese fritters with a tart olive oil dip. They were crispy fried with delicious goat cheese. Presentation was very nice! I chose a mixed flight which came in a unique spiral holder. The first was a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with a crisp fresh taste. The next white was from Portugal, Ruelas Vinho Verde, not quite as smooth as the first. The Tempranillo from Spain was Gota De Arena. It had both a smokey smell and taste. The last glass was a blend, Smokescreen, The Chemist from Paso Robles which was a nice end to the selections. "See - Swirl - Sniff - Sip" So glad we found this cute little wine room! We're quickly greeted both times and asked if it was our first time. I just love the rustic wood decor with the cozy ligting, and a little B.B. King playing in the background- perfect for a cute little date night or just hanging out with the girls. There is even a little shop inside to buy gifts or souvenirs. Now for the food and drinks...we did a wine tasting on the first visit which was nice, and the second time we had wine by the glass. I did like them all, and I especially love their homemade sangria- quite tasty! As for the food, the wedge salad was phenomenal. It was fresh, and the bit of sweetness from the bacon bits and caramelized onions mixed with the blue cheese and sauce was A-mazing. They have one of each size so if you see something you like just get it then. It won't be there tomorrow. Just purchase it... you deserve it! They also have holiday themed gifts and great gifts for girls. Cute make up bags, jewelry, or key rings. The restaurant is to the left of the building. There are about twenty table tops and tables. Of course perfectly spaced. They have an unlimited wine list. They have several flights to sample and small tastings. If you want a little nibble they have that too. From salads to pizzas. Their dishes are quite delicious. The service is on point. They never miss a beat. The owners are there all the time. That gives it that special nugget of preciousness. I've been there before and had good experiences. Tonight, I went to pick up a bottle of wine. I picked up a couple of items from the gift shop. I asked some questions about the wine. In the middle of a sentence, the employee excused herself. I assume she went to help someone else. There were three other employees there. I was left standing there. Another employee eventually came up to me and I tried to explain what happened. She just interrupted me and didn't want to hear what I had to say. She went and got the previous employee. I paid for my gift shop purchases and left without the wine. This was a very disappointing experience, I won't go back there... I will give you another try. I think time wasn't taken to communicate to me what was happening. I don't think I'm more important than anyone else and I wasn't in a hurry. I just felt like I wasn't valued at all.
