I have gone to this location twice in the past four nights at just after 8pm, looking to satisfy that Cava craving we all know and love. On both occasions (8:05pm and 8:10pm), I was told they were closed despite their posted hours stating they were open till 10pm. I let the first night slide figuring there was a burst pipe, a kitchen malfunction, who knows. But sure enough just a few nights later it happened again. Their excuse? "We are short staffed". I saw 6 people still working inside, one of which told me "we already threw the food away, we couldn't help you if we wanted to." So not only is this place misrepresenting their hours on a consistent basis, but they are disposing of perfectly good food which would've been paid for and eaten. At least donate the food if you're going to be lazy. Management needs to wake up and do their job, or at least pretend to do so. read more

If you're wondering what this place is like, it's basically the Chipotle of Mediterranean food. I love Cava--as in I eat here like once a week--and this location as equally as tasty as the rest. Only issue I have is that they're constantly out of ingredients! Other than that, totally recommend. And the staff are usually always really friendly too. If you don't know what's good, ask and they're usually happy to recommend or help build a bowl! HOT TIP: The secret here is the sauce--get the skhug and the garlic sauce together... flavor-wise it will not disappoint! read more

If you're looking for another option from chipotle, while we are collectively on our chipotle strike this place might seem appealing. The food that I get, every single time has been great! However this is Phoenix Arizona and I grew up here with quality customer service and that's what I expect. I was treated like a dog for absolutely no reason while I was there. Actually a dog isn't appropriate, as I love dogs and would never treat my dog like that. They have an attitude at this location specifically. The whole place seems to always be missing something every time I order and I have seen almost all of there staff with the exception on ONE African America woman who was absolutely incredible and should honestly be the manager. The other teens specifically the woman with tattoos all over her face ( which was not the problem at all...) was one of the rudest people I have ever seen in my life. Why be so angry while you are at work? Go get a work from home job and just be angry in your apartment sweetheart. I will never go to this location again instead I will try the others cause I love the food so much. CTL ALT DEL all these expand try again please this is not the standard that us Arizonans are used too please take that attitude back to lawless California. Yikes. Dis.or.ga.nized! Un.mo.ti.vated! This place has the same assembly model as Chipotle, except with Middle Eastern/Mediterranean ingredients. Pretty decent food the couple of times I've been there. But holy cow the folks assembling food sure could use some Chipotle-level training on how to WORK THAT LINE. I'm no huge Chipotle fan, but they definitely know their stuff when it comes to that front line process. Cava staff looked like 2nd graders in comparison. Nobody knew their station and I watched multiple people wander back and forth with blank looks on their faces until they ran into someone that knew the answer to whatever question they had. Or until they found the ingredient they were looking for. And of course in the meantime, orders are piling up and nothing's moving because everyone has switched positions and now needs to get back to their station. One chick that my salad got passed to couldn't pay enough attention to see that its recipe card had been placed with it listing the ingredients. She dragged it in front of her without looking down, leaving the card behind, and then just stared at me... waiting for me to tell her what I wanted on it from that section. The next chick informed me that they didn't have the dressing this particular salad was supposed to have on it. It was roughly 40 minutes before close. (Of course they had the dressing, she just didn't want to refill the bottle.) Fine, whatever. So I asked for a different one. "Oh we're out of that too." "Really?? You don't have anything in the refrigerator?" Of course they did. She knew it and didn't even say anything, and turned around to go to the back to refill the bottle. ZERO hurry. Just waaandered back, strolling along. These folks showed NO urgency to do anything. They showed NO motivation to produce an excellent meal. No pride in their work. This is a leadership problem (as most things are). Train your staff. Create an engaging workplace. Create opportunities for them to find purpose and be challenged and succeed and grow. That kind of environment inspires motivation and creates healthy teams and happy people. Just because you're in fast food is no excuse to throw excellence in the garbage. read more

The food is always great as is the ambience but the improvement with serving ce is what really made my experience.

One of the items I got was black lentils, they seemed dried out, and even crunchy. Also, on one of my visits, they were out of meatballs, I think because it was close to closing. Seems like the acoustics (sound) is bad in there, it seemed quite noisy with people talking. The Ambiance & atmosphere in there is quite bland & boring, they need more pictures on the wall or something. Both this and the Arcadia location give the same vibes; employees who could care less, dirty tables, only one fork left in the utensils area. I don't blame the employees because this is the same feeling at both locations. Tonight I ordered the avocado bowl+ that delicious honey harisa chicken, but when I got home, sadly there was no chicken to be found. Each time I've been here they're stingy with their toppings but this time they gave me the bottom of the chicken basket, which was BURNT, TINY, CRUMBS. I thought this place was pretty good. Love the healthy fast food concept. Set up similar to a chipotle. The flavor was good and portion sizes or large. The star lost is for the under cooked or old rice. It was really hard and crunchy, if you're serving rice either know how to cook it properly or consider getting lids so it doesn't dry out. It would also be nice if reusable bowls were offered like at other cava locations. read more

Yesterday I ordered lunch online, they did not include multiple toppings I requested. More importantly there was no chicken in my bowl or even my side of pita. I basically paid $15 for lettuce, just my luck I found out once I drove myself all the way back to work. My coworkers bowl was inaccurate as well, it included toppings he didn't request. My first few visits here were great, since then I feel this location just went downhill in quality, customer service, and accuracy. If I want Cava I guess I'll just make the drive to the Indian School location. read more

I was a Zoe's Kitchen regular, so I expected a similar experience here. My first and only order was one of the chicken bowls. It was barely edible, with gristley chicken scraps that I wouldn't feed to a dog. I tossed the entire thing in the garbage.
