The green tea smelled like pee and tasted like chemicals. I dumped it out and brought the boba home to put in my own tea.

The Thai iced tea tasted strange, as if it was mixed with a green tea and other flavors. I was not impressed

After a grueling first day of sports practice, I asked my granddaughter where she would like to go…read morefor a cool and refreshing treat? Berries & Bowls was her number 1 choice. Service was great. We were waited on right away and the young lady explained different choices for smoothies. I decided to go with the Tropical Smoothie. My granddaughter ordered the Tropical Bowl. She was really excited that they have gluten free granola. We sat down and I loved the cute decor. There were really cute posters and warm woods. A fun fruit mural covers the front wall, as you walk in the door. My smoothie was fruity and delicious. It was so large, I didn't think I would finish it, but I did. My granddaughter loved her bowl and she even scraped the bottom of the bowl, for any leftover bits. That should tell you how good it was. I took off one star because prices are high. But, given the wholesome ingredients, great service, and gluten free options...I think this well worth it. As, one of the cute t-shirts says, " I really regret eating healthy today, said no one ever! " I agree.

I asked the security guard if I could speak to a manager. After waiting for 5 minutes, I asked my Cashier (William) if he could call down the manager again. She came down and said "you wanted to speak to me?" I asked her "why did you tell security to check my pockets?" She dismissed me timidly saying "Oh I didn't tell him to do that" I said "no, he told me that he was told by the manager to do searches, why was I asked to be searched?" She backed away and the security guard took over, breaching my personal space and trying to intimidate me. I asked him to get out of my face and he refused. I asked to speak to the manager and they refused. When I asked under what grounds they chose who is being searched, They refused to answer. I was told to exit and I refused until I could see evidence to justify me being banned, for not complying to a search. I was told no. The security guard continued to tell me to leave, and grabbed my Canada goose jacket and groceries, took them to the exit and put them on the wet, dirty ground. I am despondent. This is unacceptable.

They took over the "King Pollo" restaurant so the sign was still outside. However, the Kung Fu Tea sign was shown throughout the exterior window. Glad I saw the open sign so I know it was open. Finally, another bubble tea option in the Wheaton area. This spot is located in the same shopping center as H-mart and a great way to grab a drink after doing your errands. There are a few tables inside where you can sit while consuming your drinks. The place inside is fairly large. The staff here are very friendly and looks very clean. They serve the same drinks as other KFT locations which is great. Highly recommend their milk teas and their smoothies. They also serve cold and hot drinks. Looking forward to visiting this spot again. Great addition to the Wheaton area!!

What's hot - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with an Hmart, other shops and restaurants. That also means there's parking. - Indoor seating. There is an indoor seating area with a decent number of tables and chairs, which is helpful, especially if you're eating. - Menu includes food. Most Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to don't offer food, but this location does, including dim sum, noodles, and poke bowls. Nice to have. - Price. For two drinks (one large and one medium), we paid approximately less than $20, so not bad. However, read below... What's not - Bubbles/tapioca is too sweet. I asked for my bubble tea to not be sweet, but that's not what I got. Rather, there was syrup at the bottom of my cup and the bubbles are already very sweet. That tells me they boil their tapioca in sugar water, which I'm not a fan of. One of our friends had to go back and ask them to remake her drink, because it was too sweet. Because they boil their tapioca in sugar water, my friend also asked them to use herbal jelly, rather than tapioca pearls in her new drink. As such, the quality of their drinks is lacking. Price for value isn't a good trade off. - Full menu isn't available. Their full drinks menu isn't available. Rather, you have to scan their QR code to access their full menu. - Ambient noise. They play loud music inside. While it's cool to listen to music to jam to, if it's too loud, it's difficult to have a conversation with whoever you're with. Not to mention, at some point, it can get to a point where it's too loud and hurts your ears. - Food menu. Given that the quality of their bubble tea is lacking, which is their staple feature, it makes me hesitant to try the other foods on their menu, because I question their quality. Final Answer Not on my list of bubble tea places to return to.
