I decided to try the Coconut Mango Boom, and it was so good! The creamy coconut paired beautifully with the sweet, slightly tangy mango, giving it a refreshing tropical flavor. I also loved that the tea is freshly brewed, which really adds to the experience. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, with plenty of comfortable seating, including areas where you can sit and enjoy your drink with a friend. HEYTEA is located in Wintergreen Plaza, which has plenty of free parking, making it easy and convenient to visit. I'm definitely looking forward to trying more of their offerings!

This was my first time there and I asked the person at the counter about their drinks since they were different than at other boba tea places I've frequented. I told him I like milk based teas and asked about their jasmine tea. He couldn't really explain the different tea flavors. Also wasn't very helpful, especially when I saw the jasmine tea was not milk based (after I had purchased it). I adjusted the sugar to 75%, but it needed more sugar. I also ordered the mango coconut cream drink for my daughter. I do appreciate they use real fruit and that it looked pretty but I really don't see what the hype is about. I didn't like my jasmine tea and my daughter, nor I, liked the mango coconut tea. Definitely not a fan ... won't be back.

New bubble tea in Wheaton!!! Service was great! We got…read morecoconut, Thai, matcha, and mango bubble tea. All were good but here are some tips I'd suggest when ordering: ask specifically for the bubbles you want. Don't assume the default is boba. We got popping bubbles which were fine but were a surprise (strawberry bubble and matcha is weird). I got 75% sweet... we love sweet things and this was still really sweet. I'd ask for 50%. The Thai was not a traditional Thai tea flavor. Almost more pumpkin spice. Mango was deemed the best and the coconut was great too. All in all all - we will be back! Nice neighborhood shop attached to the bakery.

We ordered 4 drinks and it seemed to take a while, which was interesting since there was only one other customer in the shop. My wife got the basic milk tea, I got a match milk tea and our daughters (8 & 10) got the Taro smoothie and a Banana flavored milk. After two or three sips we all came to the same conclusion that our drinks were not very good. They all tasted somewhat watered down. My daughters did not even drink theirs. The inside of the shop was nice and the staff was friendly but when the drinks are not good, there is no reason to go back. Definitely would not recommend.

My cup also wasn't filled all the way to the top, not sure why (is it because no ice?). For a drink that was almost $7 and very small, I don't know why they were stingy with that. My friend got the golden boba with roasted oolong milk tea. The flavor of the tea was amazing and the golden boba was perfectly chewy and had a bit of a honey flavor, really tasty. If I got his drink, I would've given this place 4 stars - maybe. The price / size of the drink combined with the cup not being filled wasn't very good.

Finally, another bubble tea option in the Wheaton area. This spot is located in the same shopping center as H-mart and a great way to grab a drink after doing your errands. There are a few tables inside where you can sit while consuming your drinks. The place inside is fairly large. The staff here are very friendly and looks very clean. They serve the same drinks as other KFT locations which is great. Highly recommend their milk teas and their smoothies. They also serve cold and hot drinks. Looking forward to visiting this spot again. Great addition to the Wheaton area!!

What's hot - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with an Hmart, other shops and restaurants. That also means there's parking. - Indoor seating. There is an indoor seating area with a decent number of tables and chairs, which is helpful, especially if you're eating. - Menu includes food. Most Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to don't offer food, but this location does, including dim sum, noodles, and poke bowls. Nice to have. - Price. For two drinks (one large and one medium), we paid approximately less than $20, so not bad. However, read below... What's not - Bubbles/tapioca is too sweet. I asked for my bubble tea to not be sweet, but that's not what I got. Rather, there was syrup at the bottom of my cup and the bubbles are already very sweet. That tells me they boil their tapioca in sugar water, which I'm not a fan of. One of our friends had to go back and ask them to remake her drink, because it was too sweet. Because they boil their tapioca in sugar water, my friend also asked them to use herbal jelly, rather than tapioca pearls in her new drink. As such, the quality of their drinks is lacking. Price for value isn't a good trade off. - Full menu isn't available. Their full drinks menu isn't available. Rather, you have to scan their QR code to access their full menu. - Ambient noise. They play loud music inside. While it's cool to listen to music to jam to, if it's too loud, it's difficult to have a conversation with whoever you're with. Not to mention, at some point, it can get to a point where it's too loud and hurts your ears. - Food menu. Given that the quality of their bubble tea is lacking, which is their staple feature, it makes me hesitant to try the other foods on their menu, because I question their quality. Final Answer Not on my list of bubble tea places to return to.

Definitely a preference so try one before you go all in. The food itself was kind of hit or miss, but when it hit it really hit. The butter burger and fish balls were alright in my opinion. Some nostalgia, but overall nothing too fancy. The egg waffles were really cool, I got a pudding filled one, and I'm definitely a big fan. They had a lot of other options too for the egg waffle, I will be back to try others. Service: The service was average for a small shop, seems like there is only 1 person working when I got there so they were doing everything from taking orders to making the food. Depending on time of day it might take longer for your order to be ready. Ambiance: The inside was decorated well and had some fun elements near the front door. Aside from decorations the interior was pretty normal, some seating inside for groups of 4.

I recently picked up a small Lemon cake and a Strawberry cake from Morning My Day in Silver Spring…read more I was expecting a decent dessert; I wasn't expecting to be reminded that most other bakeries have been lying to us for years. The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring

Then six or seven people came in to order and he got pretty crowded in that small space. I loved my purple yam pasty. It was soft and fresh.
