Oreo C&C Brown Sugar with shot of espresso and coffee jelly
    Janine T.

I needed the caffeine, but the sugar called. I ordered a Oreo C&C Brown Sugar with shot of espresso and coffee jelly! The Oreo drink usually doesn't come with espresso, but the barista offered to add a shot because I wanted some caffeine. It was HEAVENLY. A+. It might be my new favorite thing from kokee tea. It's all the fun of a brown sugar drink but plus Oreos and awareness. 10/10 would recommend!

Their honey boba tasted great. The drinks were made pretty fast. I tried the brown sugar dalgona. I did not really taste much coffee. Overall I liked it and would recommend.

This place is located right next to the food court in the Wheaton mall. I've tried a bunch of their drinks and have generally been happy with them. I would suggest the Dragon & Rose, but I also like most of their other fruit drinks. They have a few creative mixes. The Thai Tea is also good. The honey boba are small and firm with a nice flavor. The fruit flavored bobas are popping boba so don't expect them to be the same consistency as regular boba. Note: I highly recommend reducing the sweetness level of the fruit flavors, which they allow you to do. Otherwise the drinks can be very intense.

Refreshing and creamy- the perfect beverage while strolling though the mall. Located at a kiosk in front of the food court, Kokee Tea is a convenient pick-me-up caffeine drink cafe. I ordered the matcha milk tea with honey boba and it was sweet, smooth, cold, and a bit bitter from the matcha powder, but in a good way. The boba had great texture and still had some chew to it without being soggy and too soft. At around $5, the beverage size is quite large and a great value.

This is my favorite bubble tea in the mall. The have dairy free options. It does feel like a hug in a cup.

We ordered this for the first time through DoorDash. The Thai tea was overly sweet and although the website stated the tea was brewed overnight it tasted very artificial and weak. Not a fan and will now have to drink my son's too!

Really high quality tea at an unexpected location. I've tried more than one of their drinks and they're always consistent with the tea and boba quality. My personal favorite is the thai milk tea but their brown sugar is worth a try as well. If you're shopping at wheaton mall and want a quick drink this is the spot!

Perfect spot for bubble tea if you're at Wheaton Mall, or shopping at Costco. I've tried many of their drinks such as the House Milk Tea, Kokee Milk Tea, Classic Thai Tea, their newest brown sugar drink and more. The bubbles are chewy and and flavors are great. I would definitely recommend trying any one of them, but Kokee Milk Tea is definitely different compared to regular milk tea. It doesn't have a strong milk or creamer taste, but it's also a hit or miss depending on your taste pallet.

    Cool specials to check out!

Hug in a cup! Finally more bubble tea options in Wheaton! This is near the food court on the second floor inside Wheaton plaza. Went today to try it and got the Virgin Mojito (lychee flavor) which is a jasmine tea base. Got 25% sugar and less ice and honey boba topping so it's nice that these are customisable as well. They've only been around now at this location for about 2 months so I'm giving them five stars to help get more people to check it out! There is a good selection of options and not boring choices - they even have crystal boba which is not as common in bubble tea areas here. Come check it out and enjoy!

They took over the "King Pollo" restaurant so the sign was still outside. However, the Kung Fu Tea sign was shown throughout the exterior window. Glad I saw the open sign so I know it was open. Finally, another bubble tea option in the Wheaton area. This spot is located in the same shopping center as H-mart and a great way to grab a drink after doing your errands. There are a few tables inside where you can sit while consuming your drinks. The place inside is fairly large. The staff here are very friendly and looks very clean. They serve the same drinks as other KFT locations which is great. Highly recommend their milk teas and their smoothies. They also serve cold and hot drinks. Looking forward to visiting this spot again. Great addition to the Wheaton area!!

What's hot - Location. Conveniently located in a plaza with an Hmart, other shops and restaurants. That also means there's parking. - Indoor seating. There is an indoor seating area with a decent number of tables and chairs, which is helpful, especially if you're eating. - Menu includes food. Most Kung Fu Tea locations I've been to don't offer food, but this location does, including dim sum, noodles, and poke bowls. Nice to have. - Price. For two drinks (one large and one medium), we paid approximately less than $20, so not bad. However, read below... What's not - Bubbles/tapioca is too sweet. I asked for my bubble tea to not be sweet, but that's not what I got. Rather, there was syrup at the bottom of my cup and the bubbles are already very sweet. That tells me they boil their tapioca in sugar water, which I'm not a fan of. One of our friends had to go back and ask them to remake her drink, because it was too sweet. Because they boil their tapioca in sugar water, my friend also asked them to use herbal jelly, rather than tapioca pearls in her new drink. As such, the quality of their drinks is lacking. Price for value isn't a good trade off. - Full menu isn't available. Their full drinks menu isn't available. Rather, you have to scan their QR code to access their full menu. - Ambient noise. They play loud music inside. While it's cool to listen to music to jam to, if it's too loud, it's difficult to have a conversation with whoever you're with. Not to mention, at some point, it can get to a point where it's too loud and hurts your ears. - Food menu. Given that the quality of their bubble tea is lacking, which is their staple feature, it makes me hesitant to try the other foods on their menu, because I question their quality. Final Answer Not on my list of bubble tea places to return to.

Tables not cleaned and most uneven and wonky. Just one sad front of house employee working that I saw just getting through the orders that are self order. This place has zero ambiance. I went to the bathroom and toilet tissue was nearly out and there was no way to even get anyone's attention to attend to that. Employee just kept their head down working. Food- drinks were great. My favorite is the watermelon coconut jelly. We had the pork chop pineapple bun. This is still a good sandwich. Tastes like they used to make it. Juicy pork chop, sweet pineapple bun. The construction of the sandwich leaves much to be desired because all the wet veggie ingredients slide the entire sandwich. Once you start eating, you should not put this sandwich down or it will come apart. They should put the sandwich in a sleeve. We ordered the fried chicken bento box. This bento has changed a bit from their previous version. With the new paper packaging, there are less compartments for goodies. The fried chicken recipe is different as all the batter fell off the chicken and was just a mess. There was close to zero pickles greens. With the dish which I feel brings this kind of bento together. Conclusion is food is decent, ambiance sucks. Would order to go from here but any fried food from here will be a disaster after you get it home. Had high hopes as I loved the previous location's food. Now being able to "look behind the curtain" and see how everything is made, I kind of feel question the cleanliness of this place.

I recently picked up a small Lemon cake and a Strawberry cake from Morning My Day in Silver Spring…read more I was expecting a decent dessert; I wasn't expecting to be reminded that most other bakeries have been lying to us for years. The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring
