If you like lightly fried chicken that is juicy and full of flavors, this is the place. You get your choice of sauces, you can go half half. We had the 10 wings 5 legs combo at about $24 not including tax, prices are a bit high. Food was very flavorful, you can taste the chicken and it was still juicy. They give you pickled radish too. This is one of my favorite fried chicken places. Bonchon is part of a strip mall of other stores, so there is parking. Restaurant is quite small with limited booth seating. The cashier gave some helpful tips on nearby restaurants, specifically the Korean bbq place to the left and across the street. There are many food options, so give it a try. I visit bonchon regularly on nothern blvd but today i called to order and they told me it would be an 1hr and a half wait. So i decided go to the next location nearby which was the bell blvd one. I am a frequent take out customer here but the last order I got was horrible. The garlic soy chicken strips I got were way over cooked. My kids couldn't even bite into it, it was so tough and hard from being over cooked. I had to drive back to complain. The excuse they gave me was because it is chicken strips, it can be dry. I told them I'm a frequent customer there and the chicken strips never tasted like that. I even ripped open a piece to show them, you can't even rip it because it's so dry and over cooked. You can see when chicken is over cooked, it looks dry. They offered to make me a new order so I said ok because that's what my kids really wanted for dinner. I get home and on the top are new good pieces of chicken strips BUT, on the bottom is the old dried pieces from my first order. I will never go back to this restaurant again. it's true that chain restaurants are not all the same. I live near a bonchon that serves small, dry, overly fried wings and my disappointment has deterred me from eating bonchon for a long time. But I decided to give this spot a try after waiting for pickup nearby and seeing the heavy door traffic at this restaurant. They've gotta be good if they have so many people ordering, right? I was in fried chicken heaven. Covid has trained me to be an expert at eating in cars plus no one wants to eat cold chicken. IT WAS DELISH. Hot and crunchy and sweet and salty. Hungry for chicken and it was the closest to where I was as I checked on my yelp app. It was dark inside and I sat in a corner spot after walking in. I picked the garlic soy flavored chicken (combo meal- wings and drumstick) , their regular fries and a can of soda. I could tell that the serving size will be good for two and I had in my mind to bring home the left-overs. What surprised me though were the sides that came with it- a cup of radish and a cup of sweet corn- both complimented the chicken. If I only knew , I should have skipped their fries. Their chicken (which took 25 minutes before it was served by the way ) as tasty and oily as I find , was not bad and not that great. When you come here make sure your phone is charged because take out or dine in, you'll be waiting for 20-45 minutes. It's not necessarily a bad thing either. Fresh is best. They have 3 flavors and they are equal in quality and flavor. Soy ginger is amazing because it's just marinated but tastes of hints of garlic, soy and ginger. In combination, it's a pleasant though not subtle flavorgasm in your mouth. They also have a spicy option available and please, keep in mind that much like Indian or Carribean foods, the Asians don't play with their spices! Okay? Hot means hot. If you can handle it I'd definitely suggest you try it. Great flavor and heat. They have a honey option which is really sweet but a pretty good option to add to the short flavor choice list. They have options for drums or wings and honestly, I always get the wings. The wedges are good. Spicy kimchee is delicious and their rice is great too. They give you this pickled daikon that is surprisingly good . Almost cleanses your palate and lures you in with its deep tangy flavor. Bonchon is a legend in my eyes when it comes to Korean chicken. My household has dubbed them as "crack chicken" simply because it is addicting. Calling ahead is a great way to go if you're short on time. Not the first time I've had their chicken but it was nice to remind myself of how good it is. Got the fries which are always fried well but interestingly, the cut of the fries changes every time I order. Weird. Got a 3 pc. Soy Garlic, all drumsticks. The breading is really crunch but what I like is how meaty their chicken is. My new thing to get here though is the Spicy Sausage Soup or their budae jigae. Friends recommended the Manhattan outlet and we decided to check out the Queens store. We waited FOREVER for our chicken wings and legs while others that came in after us were served. The rice was lukewarm at best and the spicy sauce was sweet and not what we expected. Had to flag the server down for the check and he was not phased by the fact that we did not finish the food or want to take it home. My favorite korean fried chicken place. I've gotten take out from here many times but never had it in the store. It takes them more than half an hour to get your order ready and with no wifi, I'd rather just bring it home to eat. They usually say twenty-five minutes but I give them fourty,especially when it's dinner time. Their soy garlic flavor is so good and I can barely resist eating it in the car on the way back home. The smell is really strong and it's a bit too salty for me. The spicy flavor is really good too but sometimes it' spicier than other times. The drumbsticks are huge and the wings are not tiny either.
