Bespoki Bowl was the first to bring poke to the 518. Now i can't imagine not having a place to go to get a bowl for a quick and delicious meal. Spacious interior, simple and clean. And did i say super fresh fish?? Quality is comparable to places in the city. Love this creative and slightly crazy little eatery! The poki bowl is by far my favorite thing (sushi salad, what's not to love!) but their sesame wings are also pretty darn good. Some of the menu items just make me laugh but it's a college town and sure there is a market for spam fries. read more

Very good. You know it's good poki when the rice is seasoned (sushi rice). You are basically getting a giant amount of top grade fish, flavored, with tons of veggies for the price of a roll. A year or so ago I saw a documentary about sushi, and they mentioned a hawaiian style sushi bowl, called Poke. I had never heard of it, but I was a huge sushi fan, and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, there isnt anywhere in the area that had it. A couple weeks later, Bespoki Bowl pops up at Troy Kitchen, and I immediately tried it, and loved it. The owner and works are always great, and everything seems really fresh. The spam sushi roll is also super good. They're one of the best places to eat in Troy, and I'm always in the mood for them. read more

Loved the food we got at Bespoki Bowl at Troy Kitchen. We got the beef bowl with double meat, with rice and mixed greens, with spicy mayo and sesame. Then we got a bowl with tuna and salmon and a bunch of toppings with the same dressings. The only thing missing was kimchi, which would have completed the dish. The other set back is unrelated to BB. The other stalls have some smoke coming out and it is a bit intense in the sitting area. Our $4 beers from the bar are making that better. read more

Finally got to try a poke bowl here recently and did not leave disappointed. The fish/proteins and veggies are super fresh and comparable to poke we've had in NYC and Philly, but what actually did it for me was the combo sauce of spicy mayo and soy mustard. Complete game changer with all the different flavors going on in my mouth I wish they had the same sauces here in Philly. I'm always greedy when it comes to sushi and wish that they could just load the bowl with more fish, but then I'd probably be paying for a $40 poke bowl. Portions are in line with what to expect from other poke places and I left feeling satisfied. This place is a must-try in the capital region! Tip: Make sure to get the crack sauce! This is a great place for good food and not very high budget. We had a spicy pork bowl and the taste was just right, spicy and a bit sweet.

Eh, not bad, not great. Low quality protein/fish. I've been there 3 or 4 times and they're always out of multiple options. Asked for spicy mayo twice and none was on it when I got home. This is a back up poke place for me, because they don't have spicy tuna or spicy salmon (that puréed kind that isn't just fish cubes), but I just get the crabstick and spicy mayo in place. Their prices are good but the girl who took our order was almost ditzy-and didn't even know what some of the menu items were or how to explain them. At one point we just googled things to know what they were. The poke bowl was good and the owner was very nice who got my tea prepared for me. I just wish they had more protein options like spicy salmon and spicy tuna instead of just the cubed version that can be uncomfortable to bite into. read more

What a great find! We had a poke bowl, bulgogi bowl, bulgogi tacos & popcorn chicken and everything was fresh and delicious.

What can I say? Yum! I tried both the korean bowls(spicy pork) and the their famous poke ( raw fish bowl). Both were good depending what you are craving. I prefer the poke because I'm a fish/sushi aficionado! My hubby tried the bulgogi korean bowl(beef with rice) and also swears by it. He knows his stuff cuz he is Korean. We are regulars at that place despite not so cheap prices. My only complaint is I had too much burping with garlic after eating the spicy pork bowl. Never happened to me after I ate other foods just this one. But it was tasty while I ate it lol by the way spicy is just a saying. It was almost not spicy at all just tasty read more

Me and my wife had just come back from Hawaii and we had our fair share of poke bowls there but let me say this place is the tits! The fish taste really fresh and it's actually pretty comparable to the poke bowls in Hawaii! The owner gave me a tip and said to try the spicy mayo and soy mustard together and seriously never had a more delicious sauce! Very personable staff. Amazing food. Awesome sauce. I'm unsure if I will return unless I'm desperately craving a sushi-type food and this is the only place open. Sadly I was disappointed with my visit the other afternoon. I have been a customer since their presence in the Troy Kitchen but for some reason the other day just didn't stomach well with me. I'm originally from California so I'm no stranger to fresh fish/Hawaiian/Asian cuisine, but this is the first place I've been to over the years that serves WARM rice with raw fish. The other day at lunch the rice was warmer than usual and gave the fish the most unappetizing texture and flavor. It made the fish mushy and for several hours afterward I had a horrible stomach ache and was nauseous. Another con (which I've tried to get over in the past but this time just added to the gross-ness) was the seaweed salad lacked freshness and I continue to get old black mushy clumps in my serving. I'm really sad writing this review because I hope the business can take some of these reviews into consideration to improve. I love to support local business but I will not be returning for awhile. read more
