The sitting space if I'm being honest is kind of tight with chairs backed up against the display divider for the line/counter ordering area. The benches up against the wall opposite counter are beautiful and force good posture. There were also some window spots I'd definitely aim for next time. The counter person was delightful no complaints. Explained the drinks and didn't rush us. We came later morning on Saturday, most of the bakery items were sold out. But what we got was amazing, a nice mixture of scones, perfection. I appreciated the mixture of small morsels, it included flavors that I would not have tried otherwise. I got a cream brûlée latte as suggested classic with a hint of sweetness, standard with double shot of espresso. My wife got a mocha variety definitely much richer. The art on top was also a nice highlight. As other reviews mentioned prices were not listed but this is definitely a specialty place so expect a higher price than a pump your own coffee express station. The BEST coffee shop (and more) in the heart of Troy. I'm an espresso girlie, no sugar, straight up. Coming here I knew I needed to try more than that so I decided to discover what was on the menu. I asked the super awesome employee and she recommended the Palo santo oat milk latte and I went for it. She made it dirty for me (with espresso) and I absolutely loved it. I sat at the best seat in the house by a window and had the BEST window watching views. It was absolutely PERFECT and my latte tasted even better. This place is a vibe. From the coffee to the merch to the drinks. It's everything. I decided to do some work while I was there and after spending a few hours window watching and working it was time for a refill. So I went for a drink I would eve never ever ever in my life have ordered: the peanut butter flambé iced latte. Was it incredible? Yes. Was I confused? Yes. Did I feel like I was sinning? Yes. I love a good specialty drink, and I got so excited when I saw their cold brew with strawberry milk. This is basically the drink I had every morning while in Seoul, and their version was so good. The strawberry milk was so fresh and had chunks of actual strawberry. I even bought stuff to make it when I got home. The wifi was free and fast, and I spent a couple of hours working here. One of the best coffee shops I've ever been to! First off, the location is just beautiful. The shop exterior and interior are sophisticated yet homey feeling. I loved how many beautiful plants they had! Went with a party of 3, and our 2 well behaved small dogs. They are dog friendly, both inside and at the outside seating. My first order was the iced Horchata latte with house-made oat milk, and that was phenomenal! I ended up loving the coffee and ambiance so much that I went back in and ordered a second coffee. This one was the Iced fruition coffee with house-made almond milk. If you appreciate high-quality chocolate, this is a MUST TRY. The absolute best mocha coffee I've ever had! My partner purchased the Iced PB & Banana Flambé latte with Whole Milk and loved it so much he purchased another. My coworker told me she always takes out of towners here, and I can see why. The coffee is phenomenal. I like cold brew but I've never had it with jam before. I went with the PBJ, which had strawberry preserves at the bottom of the cup along with peanut flavoring. The jelly made for a really interesting, cool texture and tasted very fresh. Coffee itself was well roasted. Had kind of a weird experience with the internet usage. The WiFi password is really long - it's posted on the wall, but looks like decor rather than an obvious WiFi sign. My guess is that they don't want people loitering for hours, which makes sense because it's a small space with limited seating. I had to get up and physically ask for the password again to connect my phone, and felt a bit like the barista (not the one who checked me out) was giving me the third degree to make sure I had actually ordered something. Not docking a star because the coffee is still phenomenal. I came back the next day for the farmer's market and got a hibiscus cream concha and more cold brew. Place is great for coffee. I got regular filter coffee all black and it tastes just like how I wanted. A little bitter. Cappuccino is well made and beautiful. This coffee shop could easily be transplanted to a big city and hold its own for the quality of the coffee drinks and style. My mom is a pumpkin spice latte kinda person and she was forewarned not to expect the faux pumpkin sugar filled drink from the chain coffee places with questionable coffee... she liked her drink but didn't love it. My BF is the serious coffee connoisseur who declared his latte an A+ My rosemary (and something else but forgot what) was so unique and special, as we passed my cup around the table everyone agreed it was THE BEST. I should add that I ordered it 'as is' and when it arrived it was far too sweet for my tastes and the barista told me to request less sweet next time. Then she must have decided, why not and she remade my drink with less sweetener. Whenever I am in town, this will be my preferred coffee shop. I have been a loyal customer of JA since they opened in Troy and wash thrilled when the Albany location opened up. However, in the last few weeks they have switched to a homemade oatmilk that is absolutely terrible, making that almost $8 iced latte pretty regrettable. The first time I tried it in an iced vanilla citrus latte, I had to go back to the counter and ask for it to be remade with regular milk bc it was just not good. The employee was nice enough to remake the latte but was clearly annoyed at the request. I went back last week and was reassured the home made oatmilk phase is done, and thankfully I can confirm my latte was back to its delicious self! Unfortunately, today I came to the Troy location and asked to make sure the oatmilk situation was back to normal before I ordered a black sesame rosemary latte. I was assured the homemade version was not being used. Upon my first sip I knew instantly that either that was a lie or they are using some other type of oatmilk. I was expecting a creamy, filling sip but instead was met with a thin, watery milk that leaves a sour aftertaste. Very similar to that homemade oatmilk I've tried before. It's almost the consistency of a cold brew. Not to mention the black sesame flavor was nowhere to be found. I love JA and hate to feel that I'm overspending on what is supposed to be good coffee. I hope to come back and be met with the coffee standard it has previously set. read more

We dropped in form out of town and I was positively overjoyed by baristas helping us and chatting with us, tasty treats and drinks we got, and the ambiance of the place! I got matcha latte with oat milk and my brother got coffee late, we also got a savory scone - sage dried tomato, from a mouthwatering options, and I went back for a ginger turmeric tea later. The matcha latte was the best one I've ever had! Velvety smooth, perfect temperature, and spot on balance of Matcha-ness. Barista was attentive enough to offer adding honey for sweetness - I chose without it and absolutely loved the creation. The barista preparing our drinks put a lot of heart ( literally - the foam design was beautiful, and figuratively - I felt cared for!). While we were waiting for our treats to be prepared, the other Barista was a joy to chat with, about their menu choices, origins ( Jacob and Alejandro's creations!! One is the master behind the pastries - sweet and savory, and the other one sounds like the soul and creativity behind the enticing menu of flavors!) and travel. This is such a cute place! The interior is very aesthetically pleasing and creates a fun environment for socializing or getting some work done. They had some really unique drinks as well.
