Whenever I want something quick and healthy with fresh greens, i usually turn to bespoki. their poke tastes fresh, they have fast service and they have a lot of other more satiating, meaty dishes with korean and hawaiian influence. it's a pretty reliable place tonget a quick lunch. they also have korean bingsoos now. i've been wanting bingsoo so bad since moving to troy. so stoked they have it now!

Korean-fusion. You'll find it at Bespoki Bowl. This is casual dining. It operates much like a fast food joint. You place your order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. I ordered bulgogi (bbq beef) tacos. They were slightly spicy and awesome. My husband ordered the spicy pork bowl with spicy mayo. He thought it was great. The orders are substantial. I would have been happy with two tacos, but three came with my order. So I left very full. The restaurant does a brisk takeout business at lunchtime. We saw a lot of people coming in to pick up their food orders. There is indoor dining, but it's nothing fancy. There are several tables. Basic seating. Ironically, we almost left without ordering because the man working behind the counter was very busy filling takeout orders. We waited a few minutes before he was able to assist us. That was strange since we could clearly see three people inside the open kitchen-- two young men and one young woman--who were standing around doing absolutely nothing. The young woman appeared to be looking at a mobile device. They never left the kitchen. Instead, the guy behind the counter packed up the orders he was working on and came to take our orders. He turned out to be very nice and quite efficient. I would have given this place five stars if it didn't appear to be poorly managed. Why was there one hardworking person on staff when there were four people who were supposedly on the job? Some of the table tops needed cleaning. Why weren't the kitchen workers on it? Perhaps that's why the takeout service was so busy. Who wants to sit at a dirty table? Most of the customers appeared to be college age. With Russell Sage and RPI within walking distance it should be no surprise. Anyway, you'll find great eats at Bespoki and hopefully they'll take care of their staffing issue.

Please open a Poke place in Saratoga!! PLEASE??? I happened to have a hockey game in Troy last night and Bespoki Bowl has been on my radar for some time now. I'm a big poke fan and I'm excited to see that some options are popping up in this neck of the woods. This is a casual, go up to the counter, order your food and either take it out or sit wherever you want to wolf it down kinda place. It wasn't busy when we first arrived...but there were a couple of waves of folks coming in after we started eating. It was maybe an hour before closing, so they were out of a few things (avocado, spicy salmon and some other stuff that I can't recall). That's ok...there was plenty to choose from. My bowl was all kinds of decked out...and I swear it weighed about 5 pounds. The fish chunks (I chose tuna, salmon and yellowtail in a ponzu sauce) were much bigger than other poke places that I've visited and there seriously was a ton of fish in there. I piled on lots of other stuff and chose rice as my base since I was starving. We also ordered one of the bao buns and it was pretty good. I'd definitely be back to try more poke or some of the other menu items (rice bowls, bulgogi...and in warmer weather...hawaiian shaved ice). The young man behind the counter was friendly and accommodating - especially when we were asking questions about a specific dietary restriction. My only concern is that I wonder how this place functions when it gets really busy. There was one takeout order waiting for his food and we were the only other customers...and it took a bit longer to prepare than it should have. Maybe I'm used to poke places in Manhattan...they always have lines and will get food prepared immediately since they have a staff line set-up similar to Chipotle or Moe's.

food is amazing. I came here for the first time and became addicted ever since to the spam musubi. It's absolutely delicious and everything is always freshly made.

    Receipt

Donkatsu was very golden and crispy but a tiny bit bland. Rice was a bit mushy. The mixed salad didn't do too much; would've been nice if it was acidic or spicier. Seating is very spacious and lighting is gentle. Portion was incredibly large. The menu said $14 but my receipt said $15. The food wait was abt 10-15 minutes and there was only 1 other group in the space.

I've only been here a few times but every time I've gone I notice it's very clean inside, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had the spam mitsubi w egg and it's delicious, perfect snack for in between meals and cost less than 5$. I'm excited to go back and try their lunch box and bulgogi!

We are trying to order takeout at least once a week during this unprecedented time. We want to support local businesses while in quarantine. We were enticed by the variety of choices. My oldest son and I both went for Poke Bowls. His large mine regular. He had tuna, salmon and crab salad whereas I had a regular size with tuna and crab. They fish tastes fresh if not a huge portion as other reviewers have said. I did love the flavor of the crab salad and the accompanying seaweed salad. Other vegetables, rice and topping in my bowl were all tasty enough. I also had a bowl of Kitsune Udon with fish cakes, seaweed, and scallions. A warm comforting bowl I have some left over for tomorrow's lunch. My husband ordered the Bulgogi Bowl and Spam Musubi. He enjoyed the sweet heat of the Bulgogi Beef although again not the biggest portion. The Spam Musubi was a big hit! I tried a piece against my better judgement and let me tell you I am craving more already!! My younger son had Korean Pork BBQ with a fried egg and a side of Pork Gyoza and salad. I tasted a bite and enjoyed the sweet heat that was maybe a tad spicier than the Bulgogi. The salad was nothing special but he enjoyed the small gyoza. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and would order again.

I mean... what more can you ask for? Fresh fish, many delicious other options(spicy pork bowl is a MUST, it comes with Mozzarella on top...!!! and also the spicy chicken sandwiches... I've tried many famous ones in LA and still it was so dang good)

It's so great that there is a place to give a taste of diversity aka Hawaiian cuisine to the local Troy area. I really enjoyed the Soy Fried Chicken Flavor, Spam musubi, and the many options I had to my poke bowl. I did curbside pickup and it went smoothly. I will definitely come back to this place whenever I'm in the Troy area.

Poke bowl with all the fixings!

I enjoyed my usual small bowl of Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup ($8.00) with tender dumplings, egg noodles, scallions, cilantro, and crispy shallots in a flavorful broth. Best ever. Upon my recommendation, we both ordered the Shaking Beef, or Bò Lúc Lắc, ($25.) which is a delicious Vietnamese dish of marbled cubes of beef tossed in all the good stuff: soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, a little sugar, butter, garlic, and black pepper. Everything is shaken around in the wok to get a nice all-around sear, hence the name...Shaking Beef! We enjoyed it with Brown Rice instead of Jasmine. Kudos: The cubed filet mignon was cooked perfectly; it was tender and pink in middle. Outstanding! Two reactions: --I did not like the lime dipping sauce because it was very salty (grains of Sea Salt intact)served in a small dish that was on the plate, so next time I will order another type of sauce. However, the beef was flavorful without it. --There were too many sliced red onions and not enough spring onions. Our two orders to go (Pho with Filet and Chicken Wings) were ready when we finished lunch. Grandsons were delighted! Service was efficient and courteous as usual.

Then came the pineapple fried rice with pork belly. Savory, caramelized pork belly met bright bursts of pineapple in a perfect sweet-salt balance. Fluffy rice studded with peas, carrots, and ribbons of egg. My three year old son dove in without hesitation, happily scooping forkfuls of rice and pineapple like he had discovered treasure. No negotiations. Just joy. Fifteen minutes later, box in hand, the real event began. Across melting ice. A sharp jaywalk. A cut through the gas station. A full sprint toward the train station as the gates threatened to close and my family waited. It was an unofficial, record-breaking mile fueled entirely by fried rice ambition. Once the cold air finally left my lungs, I cracked open the box. Steam rose into the winter air. The smell alone was victory. I ate every last grain on that train, a triumphant feast earned the hard way. My wife was not impressed with how close I cut it. I, however, stand by the decision. Some meals are worth the sprint.

A tea leaf salad or Lat phat thoat has "Crispy pea, peanut, sesame seed and garlic oil with ground pickle tea leaf, cabbage and tomato." It was a little funky, a bit like kimchi, with a wonderful textural crunch provided by the peanuts. Palata (deep fried layered & flattened dough), commonly served at street food stalls, is reminiscent of scallion pancakes (without the scallion). In this case, it was served with a chicken, potato, and dahl stew. The saltiness of the stew was tamed by the layered and fatty dough. I might skip the chicken dumplings because those were boiled from frozen, store bought items. The pandan dessert, similar to a bubble tea, was an added extra. I'd definitely go again.

In the background on the TV was the Food Network. Our waitress was very polite and gave us time to order. I started with the Szechuan dumplings which turned out to be steamed dumplings in a spicy peanut saucy. They were very soft, almost to the point of mushy, and the meatball inside was chewy. I had never heard of them before and really enjoyed them, though I didn't find them spicy. My wife disagreed on that point, and didn't care for them. For my son, we ordered "chicken fingers". They were larger pieces of battered deep fried chicken (think sweet and sour chicken) and cooked so long as to be hard and greasy. He didn't want to eat them, and after one bit I completely agreed. They were terrible. Very little meat, very hard coating, very oily. Yuck. We threw nearly all of it away. My wife ordered sushi, and during the ordering process there was some confusion as to what fish came with it and whether there was an upcharge or not. She ended up with a standard sushi order and didn't enjoy it all that much. It might have been sitting around a bit too long. I ordered the General Tso chicken and was very disappointed. There was lots of chicken and it wasn't fried as hard as the chicken fingers, but I didn't like the sauce. It was loaded with minced ginger, shallots, and garlic which gave it a much different taste than anywhere else I have had this dish. As I looked at it more, it hit me... I have bought this bottled sauce before from the supermarket. I think it is "Iron Kitchen" brand, and I used to have some in my fridge (when I bought it, I discovered it didn't taste good either so it sat in my fridge for ages). Yangs didn't make their sauce from scratch, and it was gloopy and thick. he picture of this dish on the online menu doesn't match what you get. Do they always use this sauce? I dunno, but it was one of the worst versions I have ever eaten. After dropping off our food, the waitress disappeared and was clearly busy with other tables. She never checked on us to see how we were doing, and it took a while for someone else to refill our drinks. They did a tremendous amount of takeout while we were there. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal. We won't be back.

The dine-in area was empty during my visit, but the restaurant was clearly busy with takeout orders--people were regularly coming in to place or pick up food. Having the dining room to myself, I found the staff to be very attentive and quick to take my order. I chose the sashimi lunch special, which came with miso soup, a house salad, and hot tea. I also added an order of edamame. The edamame was freshly steamed and served in the bamboo basket it was cooked in. It was hot, lightly salted, and a perfect way to start the meal. The salad was a simple iceberg mix with dressing. Unfortunately, the dressing didn't have much flavor, so it felt a bit underwhelming. The miso soup was standard--hot, with small pieces of tofu, and just what I expected. The sashimi was nicely sliced, though I found it a bit lacking in flavor on its own. I added soy sauce and wasabi, which helped enhance the experience. I did appreciate the attention to detail with the octopus sashimi--each slice was separated by a thin piece of lemon, which added a subtle citrus note that worked well.
