Despite the fact that they recently reduced the number of toppings for build-your-own poke from all to just five, this place remains the only poke joint I've liked enough to keep going back. The online ordering system for them has changed in the last year, which was not the easiest to navigate, but the convenience factor is still there. The toppings are overall fresh, and staff are quick and efficient. The ambience is casual industrial and inviting enough to warrant sitting down. Parking hasn't been an issue thanks to the plaza location. I hope they continue to improve and stay open for a long time. read more

Tasty!!! But a bit pricey. I'm writing this review as I'm vacuuming my bowl right now. This was my first time trying it, and the staff who helped me was so patient, as I was confused at first. They have a build your own option bowl which allows for flexibility and diet preferences which is nice. They also have cooked meat options (chicken, cooked salmon) for those like myself who stray away from raw fish. The sauces added extra flavor for sure. This location is also clean and spacious. The first time I ever had poke I walked to the counter, chose my protien, toppings and sauces. There was no limit to toppings only protien. I have never seen another place like that until now. I got everything I wanted and only paid extra for avocado, a big scoop for only $2.00. I got the 2 protien bowl. Spicy tuna, salmon and spicy crab. They were ice cream scoop size scoops. Every topping I ordered was piled on. Most people would not finish this huge portion. The GPS could not find the location, it thought the place was on the main road but it is actually in the shopping center next to the planet fitness. I called the store, explained I was from out of town and they patiently talked me in to the shopping center. This will go down as one of my favorite experiences at a poke place. read more

I love me some raw fish! We ordered curbside quite a few times during Covid which was much appreciated and super convenient. You can order online so there's no wait. Curbside is still offered but my husband and I ventured inside for the 1st time. We were the only people in there when we went so it obviously was very quick to go through the line and order our customized bowls. We both got the build your own 3 protein bowls which are about $15. It was enough food to last us for 2 meals. We've tried almost every ingredient they offer. Always fresh and never disappointed. The inside is super clean and almost a little empty. I feel like if I shouted, it would echo. There is an outside covered area to eat with tables and flowers. It overlooks the parking lot of the plaza so not much of a view but a nice option. The only tiny tiny complaint I have is that the employee that prepared our bowls and checked us out seemed like she hated her job. No pleasantries exchanged, kind of a monotone voice, didn't seem very friendly or welcoming. I'm not expecting to make a best friend or anything but a little effort can go a long way. Quarantine lunch we decided to try the Poke Bar. While I'm not a real fan of Poke there are other choices for non-poke diners. I ordered a small salad, but it was by no means small. I was excited to check this place out while running errands in my area. It's in an easy location with plenty of parking. I came around noon on a Saturday and shocked to be the only customer. The place is open, modern, clean and welcoming. I was greeted by a super bubbly girl behind the counter, she was great! I have never done a Poké Bowl before, but I looked at the menu prior and decided to build my own bowl. I chose a large bowl which came with 3 scoops of protein and I found it to be a perfect amount of food (skipped breakfast). The girl behind the counter was so knowledgeable and patient, since she knew I was doing this for the first time. She described ever single ingredient and made it easy for me! I chose a base of brown rice and mixed greens, and a one scoop of each raw fish (tuna, salmon, spicy tuna). I chose more toppings and sides than I can really rattle off but it was all super delicious. They layer in sauces and seasonings through the whole bowl. It was SO GOOD. I also grabbed the wasabi, ginger, and a few soy sauces. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. I loved it. It was $16 for the large bowl, which was pricy for lunch but I was ok with it. I enjoy pokey and eat it a lot as I travel frequently. Most places are about the same. Decent quality fresh fish. This one not so much. Every place I've been to takes the protein, in this case, the salmon, put it in a separate bowl and mixes the sauce around it so it's not stuck together in a clump when you go to eat it. They don't do that here. They also don't clean their lettuce. It was gritty and not in great shape. They also don't give you much in terms of extras, one of the smaller servings of edamame, or the free extras I've seen. They also don't have many of them, I get mango, almost everywhere, and they don't have it here. they fill the bowl with a lot of the dirty greedy lettuce perhaps to make you think you're getting more. So I don't need to go to this one again. And if you haven't, you don't need to go to it either. read more

My husband has been raving about this place and today I finally joined him for dinner here. It was a perfect day to sit outside, they have a lovely outdoor seating area and since we also had our furbaby a good option for us. The staff here is super friendly and our bowls were delicious. Happy to see Poké is here in Loudonville. It's closer to me than the Lark St. and I love that they have parking a super clean restrooms. It's a lot more spacious here, nice and bright. Staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The place is clean, and the foods are fresh. I got a medium bowl with 2 proteins, added my unlimited sides with my favorite sauces, eel with garlic aioli. They also have additional snacks that you can get if you don't want a poke bowl. I saw that they have shrimp tempura roll, spicy tuna roll, avo sesame spring roll, chicken avo roll, crab Rangoon, & buffalo wontons. They also offer beer and wine. I really like the Poké Bar, but I find their food inconsistent. I order the same thing every time, a rice bowl with two servings of chicken and veggies. The quantity of chicken is never the same and seems to have been decreasing lately. Sometimes the sauce is much more spicy than others. The veggies are always good. Sometimes I get the crab rangoon, which is consistently delightful- crunchy and crabby and cream cheesy... everything you want in crab rangoon. Service is always friendly. We spotted this place Saturday around noon and saw the sign that said Sushi Burrito. I immediately turned around. A medium poke bowl, a sushi burrito, an order of crab Rangoon, one water and we're shelling out close to $40.00. First, their crab Rangoon is rice and crab not cheese and crab. I don't know if this is the difference between Japanese and Hawaiian cuisine, but I wasn't a fan of the rice version. My wife opted for a medium bowl. They're pretty generous with rice, salad greens and cucumber slices. Everything else was picked out with very small serving tongs. Was this to make the portions look bigger? Because all it did was amplify how small the portions that you were getting actually were. I opted for a sushi burrito. My wife had gotten me once from Kumi Ani in Crossgates Mall and it was pretty good. I picked my rice and when I got to the protein and said salmon: the portion was so small that there was no way you can spread that across the length of a sushi burrito. There wasn't even enough for a standard sushi roll. I asked how much for another portion of salmon. She wasn't sure - two or three dollars is what she told me. Uh yeah...no. Seaweed salad? Yes. I grab more in one chopstick pull then they added to my bowl. Tobiko? Sure why not. - There wasn't even enough to coat a single piece of sushi. After I picked my options they took it into the kitchen to roll it in the seaweed wrapper. I took a picture of what I got. Notice how the salmon is prominently displayed. Along side that are the crab sea legs and the rest is just rice. If I had to guess proportions before cutting I'd guess 1/3 rice, 1/3 stuff you picked out with your main protein smack in the middle, 1/3 rice. Not impressed. $35.00 for rice? I understand paying for overhead but the only way I'll be back here is if they offer a free foot massage with their rice and essence of salmon sushi burritos. On a positive note, my wife said that everything tasted fresh. My only positive comment is that it was hot outside and their AC worked. In hindsight we should have just went to the place next to D'Raymonds for an iced Death Wish coffee like we originally planned. read more

So far so good for this place! I was stopping at the Loudonville Price Chopper on the way home from work and literally happened upon this place when I parked in the lot next to it. I saw the grand opening sign and knew I had to give it a try. It looked very clean and inviting and I was greeted right away. They have a menu of predetermined bowls or you can customize your own. Most of the preset menu doesn't have raw fish so I chose to create my own. I chose white rice as my base and was able to get both tuna and salmon as my two protein scoops. I was able to chose unlimited sides. What I found amazing was the crab salad was considered a side! I chose that along with cilantro, carrots, cucumber, seaweed salad and scallions. I chose Poke-me Sauce from among 5 sauces. Finally I chose crispy onions (I could have gotten more) from a variety of crunchy toppings. To finish a sprinkling of sesame seeds. All of this for $13. It may sound expensive but the food is extremely fresh and I believe they have a lunch bowl that is slightly cheaper. More importantly it was delicious! They also have snacks such as dumplings, rolls and crab rangoon for between $5-$7. They serve beer and wine as well as soda and some specialty teas and cheesecake and mochi for dessert. The small poke bowl is $12 with no add-on. But after tax, delivery fee and tip that bowl is $22. More disappointing than that, is the small is a 4 inch diameter bowl. This is NOT a meal. To add insult to injury, they don't even fill the bowl to the top. You can tell, because there was absolutely not one iota of food stain on the top. It doesn't matter that the food taste good, they are selling you a snack for a meal price. I called and spoke with Jennifer and expressed my disappointment. She related the are making plans to make changes to the menu. So! What can you do for me now? She said, she can do absolutely nothing. No customer-centric service at all.
