Honestly the only thing I'd take off a star for (& obviously didn't) is not having baked goods. I've never, ever been able to order anything off the menu yet still get eggs because there's only vegan restaurants that don't have dairy. Lovely place, nice and clean. Delicious food and made fresh to order using delectable ingredients. The blt had the best tasting bacon and what looked like heirloom tomatoes. My kale with yams and roasted broccoli and runny eggs was outstanding. I will return, no doubt. Just make me a muffin next time, ok? (And install a bathroom)

Breakfast Hash: looked great. Problem with potatoes.

On the Sunday before Memorial Day, my husband & I decided to try Liza's for breakfast. You're suppose to order and pay at the counter before you can sit down to eat, but the server didn't tell us that until we were already seated for several minutes. That was annoying. The same thing happened to the couple that came in after us. It would have been much more welcoming if we were greeted by staff as we entered and had the ordering process explained to us in just a sentence or two. Some signage might have helped, too. This place is short on hospitality. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl which had avocados, two eggs, sweet potato and kale. Liza's is a health food restaurant and the meal seemed healthy. It was also looked great. Unfortunately, the roasted sweet potato at the bottom was dried out. The coffee, which was made from a press, tasted good at first. I had mine with almond milk. But about 2/3 of the way down it became gritty and undrinkable. Someone needs to tell the barista not to pour the grinds into the cup along with the coffee. My husband's complaints were far worse, because he likes his coffee hot and it wasn't. He ordered the Breakfast Hash with eggs over easy and was disappointed because the eggs were sunny side up and the potatoes/ home fries were so dried out, they were inedible. I tried his food. He was right. The potatoes didn't appear to be freshly made. Like cardboard. Liza's is largely about first impressions. From a distance, the place looks inviting with its glass windows and plants. The breakfast bowls look attractive, too. I actually enjoyed some of my meal. But there was a problem in the details. The potatoes/ sweet potatoes at the bottom of the bowls were awful. When you got down to the coffee--mine got worse with each sip--and I know good coffee. It wasn't cheap either. The entire bill was about $35 and we gave a $5 tip. Being a gardener, the plants in the front window should have been my tip off. After admiring the restaurant from a distance, I noticed two pots of assorted succulent plants in the front window were dying. Please water them. There's no reason for them to die from neglect. I realize it was a holiday weekend and there might be new staff working. With better training and some more attention to details, Liza's could have been fabulous.

Ah! I LOVE THIS PLACE! This spot could easily be in so cal. Great healthy and tasty items. The smoothies are fantastic, filling, and full of top notch ingredients. The paleo everything bagel was delicious.

I have been going to Liza's since it first opened as a little smoothie/juice bar on Broadway. They have since grown & expanded their menu, serving delicious, health-conscious food in a trendy atmosphere. The service is consistently wonderful, and their food is always fresh, with an emphasis on whole, nutritious ingredients. My favorite, of course, being an acai bowl +protein w/cashew butter!

Walking in you feel like you stepped into Joanna Gaines fixer upper, it's beautiful and relaxing. Pros: decent sized menu with many options, healthy items, unique ingredients, good portion sizes, nice outdoor seating, friendly staff. Cons: I came here looking for a pitaya bowl, but they only had açaí. The blends can't be altered and if you're allergic to any fruit, it can't be omitted. It was good but wish I could customize more (it comes with strawberries, bananas, granola, and nut butter, granola and nut butter can be upgraded for an extra charge). Would liked to have changed up the fruit, or the base ingredients. Overall fresh, quick, and friendly. Want to come back and try the avocado toast next.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! This restaurant is gorgeous and the food is incredible! From the plants to the lighting and decor, it all works together to allow you to feel that you're in an extremely relaxing and peaceful environment. I instantly felt happier when walking in and I didn't want to leave. I ordered my breakfast and coffee which got to me very quickly with barely any wait time. This was my first time here and the woman working was so helpful and answered all my questions. I ordered the Breakfast Hash and the brain fuel (iced) coffee and I was blown away with how delicious everything was! The spices and flavors are phenomenal and I can't wait to go back to this awesome spot again!

Too expensive. Not very tasty. Açaí bowl was like an icy soupy mess. The smoothie was mostly ice. Would not order here again.

You can build your own bowl with choices of ingredients or they have signature bowls, waffles, and toast too. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Grain Bowl ($9.95 plus tax) which was comprised of brown rice, tomato, romaine lettuce, black beans, jalapenos, tortilla strips, soft grilled spicy chicken and Sriracha dressing on the side. The portion size was modest for the price, but it had very spicy flavors. For dessert, I ordered the Sweet Basic Waffle ($5.95 plus tax) which was a thick soft waffle (not warm) topped with almond butter spread, flax seeds, honey. This waffle was very filling to eat and the almond butter and honey made for a sweet and nutty flavor. Overall, the food here was pretty good and fresh. They also offer Grub Hub and DoorDash food delivery too.

All your menu options are listed on screens on the wall, and there's no problems at all crafting any type of bowl as you want. My bowl here included 2 types of greens, the allowed-for extras, avocado added on, and an Asian sesame dressing. It was pretty good, but not strong in flavor, particularly in the dressing. Also, my avocado was very obviously overripe. I still think this is your best option for a healthy meal and/or a salad when you're in the immediate area, I just wasn't (pun intended) bowled over.

My explanation was dismissed, despite receiving this same service here many times before without issue. Turning away every guest with an allergy, regardless of how it is managed, is concerning. The interaction felt ignorant and uninformed. It was also difficult to watch Emma be warm and welcoming to other guests while treating me differently, which made the experience feel discriminatory. We walked into a café where the relaxed atmosphere makes it a nice place to stop for breakfast or a quick break, the kind of space where the environment is just as much part of the experience as the food. The interior has a fresh, airy energy with plenty of natural light and seating that encourages lingering, though finding a spot can take some patience during busier hours. The smoothie bowls were the main highlight. The texture was thick and well blended, and the fruit combinations worked well together without feeling overly heavy. We tried a few options and found the bowls balanced, with the toppings adding texture and flavor without overwhelming the base. The avocado toast was also a solid option, especially with the toppings adding more flavor instead of making it feel too basic, and the bread held up well against the spread. The drinks are another reason to visit, with smoothies and matcha options fitting the overall concept, and the coffee menu gives a good alternative for anyone who wants something less fruit-focused. The café also has some creative drink choices, which makes it feel more like a full café experience rather than just a smoothie shop. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the wait time. The food is made fresh, so orders can take longer than expected during busy periods, and allowing extra time is worth considering if you are visiting during peak hours. Service is friendly and the staff handle the flow efficiently, but the pace of the kitchen can slow down when the café fills up. Seating is also limited, so the experience works best when you are not in a hurry. Loop is a good option if you are looking for a café with healthier food choices and a nice atmosphere. The smoothie bowls and drinks are the main reason to visit, and the bright, welcoming space makes it easy to spend some time there. It is not the fastest stop, but the quality and overall experience make it worth checking out.
