Breakfast bowl

Honestly the only thing I'd take off a star for (& obviously didn't) is not having baked goods. I've never, ever been able to order anything off the menu yet still get eggs because there's only vegan restaurants that don't have dairy. Lovely place, nice and clean. Delicious food and made fresh to order using delectable ingredients. The blt had the best tasting bacon and what looked like heirloom tomatoes. My kale with yams and roasted broccoli and runny eggs was outstanding. I will return, no doubt. Just make me a muffin next time, ok? (And install a bathroom)

Breakfast Hash: looked great. Problem with potatoes.

On the Sunday before Memorial Day, my husband & I decided to try Liza's for breakfast. You're suppose to order and pay at the counter before you can sit down to eat, but the server didn't tell us that until we were already seated for several minutes. That was annoying. The same thing happened to the couple that came in after us. It would have been much more welcoming if we were greeted by staff as we entered and had the ordering process explained to us in just a sentence or two. Some signage might have helped, too. This place is short on hospitality. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl which had avocados, two eggs, sweet potato and kale. Liza's is a health food restaurant and the meal seemed healthy. It was also looked great. Unfortunately, the roasted sweet potato at the bottom was dried out. The coffee, which was made from a press, tasted good at first. I had mine with almond milk. But about 2/3 of the way down it became gritty and undrinkable. Someone needs to tell the barista not to pour the grinds into the cup along with the coffee. My husband's complaints were far worse, because he likes his coffee hot and it wasn't. He ordered the Breakfast Hash with eggs over easy and was disappointed because the eggs were sunny side up and the potatoes/ home fries were so dried out, they were inedible. I tried his food. He was right. The potatoes didn't appear to be freshly made. Like cardboard. Liza's is largely about first impressions. From a distance, the place looks inviting with its glass windows and plants. The breakfast bowls look attractive, too. I actually enjoyed some of my meal. But there was a problem in the details. The potatoes/ sweet potatoes at the bottom of the bowls were awful. When you got down to the coffee--mine got worse with each sip--and I know good coffee. It wasn't cheap either. The entire bill was about $35 and we gave a $5 tip. Being a gardener, the plants in the front window should have been my tip off. After admiring the restaurant from a distance, I noticed two pots of assorted succulent plants in the front window were dying. Please water them. There's no reason for them to die from neglect. I realize it was a holiday weekend and there might be new staff working. With better training and some more attention to details, Liza's could have been fabulous.

Ah! I LOVE THIS PLACE! This spot could easily be in so cal. Great healthy and tasty items. The smoothies are fantastic, filling, and full of top notch ingredients. The paleo everything bagel was delicious.

I have been going to Liza's since it first opened as a little smoothie/juice bar on Broadway. They have since grown & expanded their menu, serving delicious, health-conscious food in a trendy atmosphere. The service is consistently wonderful, and their food is always fresh, with an emphasis on whole, nutritious ingredients. My favorite, of course, being an acai bowl +protein w/cashew butter!

Walking in you feel like you stepped into Joanna Gaines fixer upper, it's beautiful and relaxing. Pros: decent sized menu with many options, healthy items, unique ingredients, good portion sizes, nice outdoor seating, friendly staff. Cons: I came here looking for a pitaya bowl, but they only had açaí. The blends can't be altered and if you're allergic to any fruit, it can't be omitted. It was good but wish I could customize more (it comes with strawberries, bananas, granola, and nut butter, granola and nut butter can be upgraded for an extra charge). Would liked to have changed up the fruit, or the base ingredients. Overall fresh, quick, and friendly. Want to come back and try the avocado toast next.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! This restaurant is gorgeous and the food is incredible! From the plants to the lighting and decor, it all works together to allow you to feel that you're in an extremely relaxing and peaceful environment. I instantly felt happier when walking in and I didn't want to leave. I ordered my breakfast and coffee which got to me very quickly with barely any wait time. This was my first time here and the woman working was so helpful and answered all my questions. I ordered the Breakfast Hash and the brain fuel (iced) coffee and I was blown away with how delicious everything was! The spices and flavors are phenomenal and I can't wait to go back to this awesome spot again!

There is a traffic light on Hoosick Street, so getting into and out of the parking lot is easy. There is no table service. My observation is that the vast majority of their business is take out. You order at the counter and after they're done making your order they call your name out and you pick it up at the counter. Just like Burger King or McDonald's. Your order is displayed on a touchscreen that asks how do you want to pay, what kind of receipt you want, and if you want to leave a tip. I usually leave a small tip, although they don't do anything other than their job. They just take your order and make your food and that's it. I can't see anything that differentiates good service from bad service. Eating in is functional but not comfortable. Similar to a fast food restaurant The bathrooms are relatively clean, the tables are usually, but not always, clean. The dining tables have hard wooden benches. At least they have cushions on some of the benches that make sitting a little more comfortable. All in all, a typical fast food dining experience. The food is healthy, but much more flavorful than typical health food. I like the sriracha sauce, which spices up everything. I've narrowed my selections down to one or two items that I get on a regular basis. They are consistent about how they make each food item. Every order is identical, neat, and tidy. There are a number of signature items, but everything can be customized. Some additional items come at no cost, for others there is a small up charge. This is essentially a fast food restaurant serving healthy food. The dining in experience could be improved, and the service could be more consistent, but the food itself is fresh and tasty. The juice was straight up from a bottle powder, it looked like bright Sunny D from Walmart. Total rip off of my $19. I was the only customer there, the front guy took my order, then started doing other things, totally ignored me for like 10 minutes. New customers came in and started putting in orders and he started making their orders and delivering them. They have a n automated system that shows them, what # order is going on. I was #19, my order took them 20 minutes to make (juice part) $6.99 for powder juice, that the menu claims has fresh orange, beets and cayanne. I am going to show you the pictures. The egg in my sandwich was not cooked. Liquid yucky white stuff in my Sandwich, I didn't ask for tomato or avocado, which they put in. See I had $9.99 orange and ginger juice from the Honest Weight Food Coop couple days ago. Bitter, sweet and Freshest of all. You know my standard is already high for citrusy juice. I can't take cheap powdery from the bottle juice, came home, threw it out. The worst part is that I asked the owner/front person if they used real fresh stuff, and they said Yes they do. So clearly they lied. I will never be back. People were liking açaí bowl, which they are selling for like $9 for small thing with few choppings of fruits. Looked pretty small for $9.

Toasting was not an option, or it was not offered. The "Sammy" did not taste good because the eggs had bits of shell, the avocado was very soft, and the pesto made the roll soggy. This spot is a great quick stop for mornings…read more My wife and I stopped in a few days ago and ordered a smoothie bowl, a bagel, a smoothie, and a matcha. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The matcha was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care -- prepared in a proper bowl and whisked with a bamboo whisk. I asked for a bit of honey, which really pulled the entire experience together. Honestly, I'd give this place a 5/5 based on the matcha alone. The smoothie bowl (I go the one that has banana, peanut butter, honey, and some other toppings) was great overall, though I did have one small complaint: there were a few large chunks of ice mixed in, and I accidentally bit into them. Aside from that, the bowl was flavorful and enjoyable. My wife ordered a smoothie, which was just okay. I didn't particularly care for it, and she unfortunately didn't end up finishing it. The service was excellent. The woman who took our order was very friendly and helpful, and she even recommended the matcha -- which turned out to be a great suggestion. One last note: we had visited this spot about a year ago, and it looks like the interior has completely changed since then. The new layout is bright and welcoming, no longer dark, and features a mostly gray palette with accent plants and furniture that bring everything together nicely. It feels much cozier than before.
