Excellent service with friendly staff. The food was amazing. I had a fresh turkey club with all the fixings

The infamous Elvis Presley pancakes (bacon + banana) @ Manory's in Troy - a heavenly breakfast!

Loved it! My first time at this Western-style ambience diner in Troy, was good. Their plate of Elvis pancakes with chunks of bacon, was a treat - worthy of a repeat. It is a large diner in one room, with tables and bars but no small cubicles. Their coffee is delicious! Breakfast corner-joint that was a lot of fun. Review: 5

Breakfast combo featuring crispy hash and banana cinnamon pancakes
Bill Z.

As my group was enjoying breakfast here, I occasionally heard snippets of conversation from nearby tables along the lines of, "This is why they've been in business all these years," or "Of course it's good, it's Manory's." There is clearly a dedicated set of patrons here, and I can see why. They have a lot of qualities I look for in this type of restaurant. The atmosphere is casual. The staff are friendly yet very professional. The menu is varied and quite interesting, and everything comes out quickly... really quickly. Restaurant chains that specialize in breakfasts should come here and watch and learn. I had a tough time figuring out what to have, but I settled on a breakfast combo featuring their crispy hash and pancakes, in this case their banana cinnamon pancakes. Their has was the best I have had in many years, indeed crispy but also not greasy at all. All our meals came out at once. Even though it was a busy Saturday morning, there was rarely a wait for a table, and when there was, it was a short wait. These folks know what they're doing - of course they do, that's why there still in business after all these years.

I don't have much to say that's negative. Very busy for Saturday lunch but we were seated within 10 minutes. Food tasted great and service was really spot on. Everyone was hustling and tables were flipped constantly. Portions were decently sized and overall I was happy.

This place is pure magic! My friend and I stood outside as soon as it opened, and the line was already stretching around the side of the restaurant. Within minutes of the doors unlocking, the place was packed--buzzing with energy, laughter, and the clinking of dishes. And it's no surprise why: everything about this spot is incredible! The menu felt like a work of art--carefully curated with an attention to detail you can taste in every bite. Each dish was methodically crafted, and the aromas alone were enough to transport us to culinary heaven. From the first sip of the Bloody Mary, which was vibrant, rich, and practically alive, to the coffees that were more than just drinks--they were miniature masterpieces, decorated so beautifully they felt like Christmas trees on the Fourth of July. This restaurant doesn't just serve food--it serves an experience. Every plate, every cup, every aroma felt like a moment of art in motion. It's a place where the boundaries between food and storytelling blur, delivering more than just a meal but a sensory adventure. If you appreciate flavors that sing and coffee that inspires, run (don't walk) to this place. Absolutely worth the wait--spectacular in every sense!

Cheese (mozzarella) and sausage omelette with home fries and buttered Italian toast. Side order of sausage patties and a coffee.

One of our family members called a few days ahead knowing that we would have a dozen people. They were very pleasant and made a note for the Saturday crew. We arrived on time, late morning. Note: They don't take reservations. Restaurant was full and our wait was only fifteen minutes for our crew. Anyway. Service was quick, friendly, polite, and got all our orders correct. All food was excellent. Selection was fantastic and everyone in restaurant was laughing, talking and seemed happy. I would say the ambiance was outstanding. Price was excellent. Definitely a place I would go again.

I worked in Troy for many years within walking distance to Manory's. Co-workers and I did not eat here because, unfortunately, with only a half-hour lunch, you couldn't get in, eat, and get back to work in that amount of time. Should we have taken extra time for lunch? Maybe. SO and I decided one weekend to give it a try. I am very glad we did. The special that day was a "waffle french toast." What a great idea! Wish I had thought of it myself. (Love my waffle iron for more than waffles.) It was large enough to enjoy and not have left-overs. Crispy waffles dipped in egg and then fried on the grill. OMG. Yes, I'd go back just for these bad boys. Side of bacon was enough for two people; crispy and bacon-y. Took my leftover bacon home for another meal. Keep in mind that there is limited parking in Troy. I did find a public lot a block away; but during the week you might not be that lucky. Staff are very busy but do refill your coffee regularly.

Chose this restaurant on a whim for breakfast as it was on our way from the airport and we were starving, and it ended up being a great find! We didn't realize it was Troy's oldest restaurant. It has a diner feel with breakfast and lunch options. Our server recommended the muffins as that's what they're known for, so I got the grilled muffin breakfast (if you've never had a grilled muffin you're missing out). It was delicious! And also huge. It came with sausage and eggs as well. The highlight for me was the seasonal coffee options, the gingerbread shaken espresso was amazing.

A mom and pop shop at its finest. I'd you're looking for that butter crispy edge pancake spot. This is your spot! I love a good pancake and this hit home for me. This is a hole in a wall that only locals usually go to. I really enjoyed it and honestly you will get your monies worth.

It was darkly lit inside (with pinkish/red lights no less); it was extremely loud to the point that I had trouble understanding what my wife was saying (which might not be the background music!); and the prices were expensive. The entire night they played 1980s New-wave British music which I don't mind, but had it been something I detest I would have lost my mind. We were seated at a tiny table with a small candle which provided some actual heat on the cold winter night. Our server was extremely helpful and though he didn't have all the answers he did offer to go and find out. They have a long menu but it doesn't have a lot of food options on it, with most of the pages devoted to alcohol. They had only one dessert option when we were there. My wife and I both ordered the Hanger Steak with fries, mushroom sauce, and green salad (about $40 each). Hanger steak is my favorite cut and hard to find so I jumped on it. Food came out in about 25 minutes, which is amazing considering how small their kitchen is. The steak was cooked perfectly (they didn't ask how we wanted it), smothered in a lovely mushroom sauce, and covered an ample portion of crispy homemade fries which were so good I would have thought them bagged frozen items. Even the basic salad which was just various types of lettuce was great. They aren't cheap, but they are focusing on "farm to table" and that means quality food at commensurate (fair?) prices. Burgers and chicken sandwiches are $15, so if you want something lighter but still tasty you can go that route. Speaking of light, if you go into the bathroom on the right you will find a cold, dark, tiny room lit solely by a PINK bulb. It feels like being on a spaceship (as if I know what that is like), and after when you leave seeing the main light in the restaurant is very jarring. It was a fun experience but not inexpensive and not one that checks the boxes that I look for in a restaurant. Dark, loud, and cramped might be hip for the young or "save the earth" crowd, but I am too old to give up creature comforts for such things. The food, though expensive, was absolutely outstanding in every way though and I won't forget that steak for a long time.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. Low light, but you could see, comfortable seating, amazing art on the walls, and a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch. We were offered water immediately. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.

I would describe it as a business and dive bar that makes craft beers. I made it in for lunch on a weekday. I took a seat at the bar. I was surprised to see the menu was quite extensive. There was a nice selection of soups. I ordered a cup of Greens and Beans along with 5 oz. of Fat Orange Cat Brew Chonky . I liked the beer. The soup was quite good, too. The man seated next to me was eating wings. He was raving about them. He said they were the best in town. I'll have to try them next time. Service is very good. The bartender was a good guy. There is limited parking on the premises but always parking on the street if you don't mind some walking. The slightly rustic, lodge type of interior matches the friendly vibes as well as the interesting drink selections, including a side menu filled with signature coffee whiskey cocktails! Their tipsy cocktails and beer menu is also quite attractive. My group and I were able to walk in on a weekend evening for dinner with no wait and while it was packed inside, it still felt roomy enough. However, the surrounding tables were rowdy and the noise was reverberating. Our server was attentive though she did admit it was busy and the wait time for orders would take a bit longer than usual. The menu has plenty of starters that are highly shareable, poutine, salads, soups, mac and cheese, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, wraps, and quesadillas. Haven't had real poutine in ages so I decided to try their gravy fries with smoked cheese curds and added bacon. It was a good portion for the price ($15+) and came out hot on a cast iron skillet. The cheese curds weren't the type I expected and melted down too much, and did not have that squeaky cheese bite one would want in poutine. The gravy and the bacon worked well with the fries though! The smoked brisket French onion soup ($8+) was extremely hot when it first came out and I had to let it cool down before taking a spoonful. The cheese was so bubbly and delicious and the soup itself was flavorful (maybe a tad too salty), and had a balanced amount of onions and brisket. I would definitely get the soup again. Their barbecue pulled pork quesadilla ($15+) was also a bit too salty and meat was more tough than preferred. We also tried two of their mac and cheese selections, which came in a small cast iron pot each ($17+). The bacon chicken ranch mac and cheese was good but the jerk chicken mac and cheese was not as memorable (not much jerk flavor). Kudos for having a build-your-own mac and cheese option as well as a mac and cheese flight if you want to try more than one flavor. I'm glad to return to try other menu items at this tap and tavern and see what else catches my eye. While this visit wasn't spectacular, it also wasn't bad. The French onion soup is one thing I know I'd get over and over again. Oh, they also have a credit card transaction fee that you will see once you get the bill. Pay in cash if you mind said fee.

We had a reservation at 6pm and felt invisible when we walked in, just to be seated in a table 5 feet away. Maybe they were understaffed, but friendly staff could have gone a long way here. We started with cocktails and they were all good. We didn't really have opportunities to order more, so I only tried one. We started with the Fried Burrata and Caesar salad. The fried buratta was delicious but not enough bread, or a spoon served with it so most of the sauce went to waste. We loved the pesto on the dish. The Caesar salad was extremely underdressed and under seasoned. None of us enjoyed it. We then ordered entrees, I got the flat iron and they ordered the carbonara and the burger. The flat iron was ordered rare, and served blue. The steak and sauce on it was cold. I didn't complain because I didn't want to try and call her over, they did not check on us after the food was delivered. The sauce on it was okay but I think it took away from the flavor of the meat, very strong cumin and chili flavor, a little gritty. The fries were good and the broccolini was mushy and overcooked. The carbonara was also a miss, it was overly peppered and unpleasant to eat. This dish was ultimately sent back and we explained it was overly peppered and inedible, and she ordered something else. My friend who ordered the burger really enjoyed it and it looked great. The server was not accommodating at all and barely checked on us. We sent food back and the server just threw it away without a thought in the world, and it remained on the bill. At this point we just wanted to pay and leave. Bad service can ruin a night, and it put a damper on our girls night out. My photos came out impeccable, unfortunately most of it looked better than it tasted. I could look over bad service if the food was great, but when neither is, it's a hard pass from me.

I've been to Innovo Kitchen in Latham several times over the years and I've enjoyed it every time. They have a unique menu that changes periodically, but I always find something that catches my eye. The interior has an industrial feel which I like, with a lot of exposed brick. The tables are made from old bowling lane wood, which is a really cool touch. When you walk in there is also a bowling pin displayed in a glass case. I remember there being a bowling alley somewhere in that plaza when I was a kid, so it seems likely the building has some history tied to that. The tables are also nice and large, which makes the dining experience more comfortable. Tonight I ordered the Monte Cristo burger which is described as battered Buckley's Bread sourdough, a 6 oz special grind burger, Taylor pork roll, Swiss, and Twin Leaf Farms maple aioli. It was quite tasty and I really enjoyed the hint of maple syrup flavor on the burger. The crinkle cut fries that came with it were also very good. Another person in our party ordered the White Chicken Parmesan, described as a crisp chicken cutlet topped with ricotta and garlic spinach and fresh mozzarella, with garlic parmesan cream and lumache pasta. They said it was delicious. Someone else had the Crispy Skin Salmon and enjoyed that as well. A child at our table ordered macaroni with red sauce. The portion was surprisingly large and they liked it, which is impressive because they are particularly finicky. For dessert we ordered something we've had here several times before, the peanut butter mud pie. It's basically ice cream in pie form with an Oreo cookie crust and chocolate fudge. It's very tasty and also a generous portion. At the end of your meal they also offer everyone at the table a tasty piece of gourmet chocolate. One thing that really stood out tonight was the attentiveness of the management. Two different managers stopped by our table at different times to check and make sure everything was good. I recognized one of them because I've seen him there before and he always seems to make a point of checking in with guests. The other person had seated us so I initially thought she was the hostess, but after she stopped by during the meal I asked if she was a manager and she confirmed that she was. I mentioned that I was impressed that two different managers had checked on us, and that every time I've dined there a manager has stopped by to make sure everything was good. I thanked her and told her it was appreciated. During the summer and fall they also have a very nice patio area for outdoor dining. On cooler nights they have heaters and a fireplace which makes it a great place to sit outside. I will definitely return here again in the future. 5 stars
