My coworker and I head over here every now and then because you can get breakfast for lunch and we love that. We both got omelettes. Mine was mushroom and cheese, with a side of bacon, and it comes with home fries and I got rye toast as well. Their coffee is delicious and hot! You can even buy their coffee! I came here with my girlfriend for breakfast while we were visiting Albany. We found this diner and decided to give it a try! The place was pretty packed and busy, but we were seating very quickly. The diner has a warm atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. I ordered the Skyline Special which consists of over easy eggs, sausage, and breakfast potatoes. I definitely have to eat it with Tabasco hot sauce. The white bread comes with a lot of butter which makes the toast super tasty. The bar was long and could easily fit 20 people, while the tables were also numerous and advantageous for people just rolling in off the highway. The menu was easily readable and comfortable to browse and look at. All the waitress team's staff were very helpful, easy going (not pushy) and happy - it was a very enjoyable dining experience being/eating in Skyline Diner. We were seated right away (2adults, 2 babies). Our waitress was wonderful both pleasant, helpful and good sense of humor. We had turkey club sandwiches with cream of broccoli soup. Got seated promptly and the server was there to take my order within 5 minutes so that's the good part. Ordered a basic ham and cheese omlet with and English muffin. The wife and I are (were) regulars at the Skyline and are exorbitant tippers. Today when we went in for lunch we were given a table near the toilet where a parade of users gifted us with the delightful odor of urinal cakes every time the men's room door opened. We have found our diner! We have had consistently good food at this diner. Our picky toddler loves their French toast, so that's a win right there. He (and I) also like their Belgium waffles- nice and crispy, and unlike so many other diners, you aren't charged $10 for one waffle! As someone who is allergic to eggs, options for breakfast are limited and I always end up paying $10 for a waffle that doesn't come with sides, so the reasonable price on those is fantastic!
