I've been in here many times over the last several years. Getting harder to justify. Prices going up. Pancakes getting way smaller. Is that even a pancake? Burnt home fries and I didn't ask for them we'll done.

$15 salad for a handful of iceberg. terrible salad toppings. Wraps are tiny. Left hungry after $67 bill and went to Subway.

It's alright diner food, but not great. Home fries are always a bit cold and soaked in grease. Friendly servers.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon to have a quick bite and was pleasantly surprised by the amazing…read moreservice and delicious food. The waitress was hilarious and very sharp. We loved her. I had the Rachel with whole wheat (instead of rye) and it may be one of the best Rachel sandwiches I've ever had. Toasted bread, Swiss cheese, fresh turkey cold cuts, Russian dressing, and coleslaw. I googled it down as soon as I could. The fries were okay, but I'm also not a fan of those frozen bagged fries that have a little flour on the outside for better frying. Freshcut will always win my vote and I recommend CrossRoads considers it. Plus it saves freezer space and only takes seconds to cut them with a machine. With that said, the sweet potato fries were fantastic! In short, we're really glad we gave this place a shot and we will be heading back for dinner soon!

Lmao Well, we ended up here after trying to go elsewhere for lunch, but the other spot was closed for vacation. I knew this would be a good alternative since I've been a few times. Everything I've had here has very good, from the wings to the wraps and years ago, a dinner. buffet. They have family to go meals like lots of restaurants are doing and I've tried it before for chicken parm night and it was very good. Our waitress/bartender was amazing and attentive. It helps that they weren't too overly busy. Occasionally, they have live music as well, also on the patio when the weather is nice.

The restaurant is a military theme, the little details are well thought out. You order your food at the counter and sit down. It's only partial- service. It was a little awkward because we aren't locals and didn't know that but not really a big deal. We ordered the PB&J French Toast and Scrambled Eggs, with Sausage and Home Fries, Home fries were good and crispy. That's always important right? I love the "mess-hall" trays they serve the food on, its little touches like that that make a place like this unique. Food was reasonably priced and was tasty. In retrospect I wish I tried the Corncake's (on special) I also saw some dinner items and wish we were local enough to try. The one unfortunate thing that happened to me was that the coffee bar is self-serve. I took a coffee to go and when I got out to the car I noticed the lid was dirty (so I went back in to change it out ) no big deal but I ended up tripping really bad on an un-even "lip" in the sidewalk just outside the front door. YIKES! Of course this is my own fault but I hope that someone sees this and the sidewalk is addressed.

I've been here many times and already knew I wanted the chocolate mousse which is so creamy and milk chocolaty delicious. It's the best I've ever tasted. There were dinner specials which we both decided on the stuffed salmon; stuffed with scallops and shrimp. A big piece of salmon in a carafe dish like what you would get lasagna in. It's hard to stuff salmon so the stuffing was centered in the middle of the fish to give the appearance of it being stuffed. The stuffing along eaten together with the fish; each piece was a tasty morsel. We also got with dinner a soup and a salad which was &6.50 more but well worth it. The salad had carrots, cakes, red onions, cherry tomatoes, and mushrooms in it. As for the soup I got the steak and potatoes which had lots of my tender steak in it that seemed to be more like brisket. Not many potatoes but enough vegetables and tasty broth so who needs more potatoes. With the entree I had a baked potato with butter and sour cream. I would have liked the potato cooked a little more and at a crisp but who's to complain for the price and all you get that doesn't make or break my meal. I can't wait to get back there again. Also I had my cell home changing so back at least for pictures.

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

This is a lost service in the restaurant industry, but a lovely touch. We were seated in, what can only be described as, a room with phenomenal atmosphere. Low light, but you could see, comfortable seating, amazing art on the walls, and a perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch. We were offered water immediately. They have a cocktail menu that included historical cocktails dating back to the 19th Century until present day. The cocktails were perfect. We had pre-ordered a half bottle of champagne. It was very good. We also ordered caviar service. It is 1 ounce with sour cream, egg whites, yolks, and onions. Fresh made Bellinis that were still warm. We enjoyed it immensely. It was a lovely compliment to the champagne. For an appetizer we enjoyed the escargot. We have had escargot in many places, rarely, if ever, was it as good at this was. The garlic butter was on point, the crusty bread was a great addition to the dish. It was served with tiny leaves of Swiss chard. We cannot recommend this enough. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from their extensive wine list, Stag's Leap. This wine paired perfectly with the filet mignon bordelaise, and the veal chop with cherry peppers. We had a visit with the chef, he was a wonderful representative of this amazing restaurant. We cannot recommend this place enough. It's a little spendy, but worth every penny. Service, 5 stars! Atmosphere, 5 stars! Food, better than 5 stars! We will definitely be back.

The bar is attractive. It's the first thing you see when you come in and it was very busy. There's also a good size dining area with more than a dozen tables. On this particular day all of the tables were occupied by 1pm and there was a line of would-be diners waiting to be seated. It was a Friday and the sun was shining brightly. The arctic blast that we had been experiencing finally broke. This was first milder winter day in a long time. It seems the good weather brought out the crowds. The staff admitted they were a bit surprised by the turnout. I understand why the community is drawn to this place. Both the decor and the staff are so cheerful. I ordered a fully dressed hamburger, onions and etc. I also had coleslaw and macaroni salad. It was all great except that my medium well done burger was a bit more charred than I would have liked. I would take off a half point for that, but kudos to the kitchen and the entire staff for making it through the onslaught of customers without appearing to break a sweat. I'd like to return another day when things are a bit less busy. I'm pretty sure the burgers will be perfect then.
