When I left the NYC metro area years ago, I never expected to find this level of Burmese food again. Some time in 2021 after hearing great things, we decided to try it for ourselves. The food is consistently delicious and extremely clean tasting. The herbs and spices are at once distinct while also adding to an incredible and appealing overall flavor profile. We don't eat meat or dairy so the owners and their team are great at making suggestions, helping us navigate the menu, and customizing dishes when they can. This is by far my favorite local place. We've come to think of the owners as friends and look forward to seeing them as much as we look forward to a great meal. Be sure to try the Burmese Tea Leaf salad! It's crunchy and savory and absolutely delectable! Add a Nigori Sake to your meal to wash it down with just a hint of dry sweetness.

When the temperature in my car indicated it was 108° outside, I knew we would not be camping that evening. So we pulled in to the Quality Inn which led to one of the best meals I have ever had in my life, at the adjacent Burmese Bowl. We had the Burmese wrap, the ginger salad, a rainbow roll, and a bowl of tomyum noodle soup. Everything was fresh and bursting with flavor, and the servers were charming. They did not really have any draft beer, but we were able to get a couple cans of the local Big Elm ales which did the trick. I really do not believe the fact that we were not camping in this apocalyptic heat influenced my judgement ... it really was that good!

Outstanding food in a tiny restaurant that is clearly a family owned business. I have come here twice and loved everything I ordered. Excellent pad thai for example. Friendly service.

    Thousand layer bread

Stopped by here on a business trip. The place is hopping with diners and DoorDash and pick ups but the hostess sat me at the single person table out front despite they she has been running full speed. Had 1,000 layer bread-- it feels like English muffin and tastes like fried Parker House rolls-- you have to try them. My poke bowl has fresh veggies and a nice variety of flavors. The wasabi is a bit stronger than I am used to. Come when you have time to wait- the locals know how good it is.

Friendly service and fantastic food! Loved the tea salad and Burmese bowl. Appreciated all the sushi and noodle options too. Can't wait to come back.

These sushi lookalikes are 'Burmese wraps' (anyone out there who can confirm?) -- very crunchy and fresh.

Surprising to find this cute place for exotic food in New England. Ordered Burmese wraps, that have a sushi look but which were crunchy slices of lettuce curled around chicken, cucumber and other fresh veggies. Chicken satay was also hot with interesting side sauce. The Burmese bowl soup was a bit too fishy for me but others enjoyed. Might have to be more adventurous on a future visit! Although the room was empty when we arrived at 1 PM, it was buzzing by 2 PM.

Great new spot. Everything was super fresh! Recommend ordering the Burmese items from the menu, as they are unique compared to what you normally get at a Thai restaurant. Loved sitting outdoors on a summer night. The Burmese fermented tea leaf salad was delicious and crunchy, with lots of dried beans/peas. Very garlicky and still fresh. Was worried the tea leaves would be highly caffeinated but I did not notice any significant effects. The Burmese spring roll was light and fresh and a perfect summer app.

The sweetest people work here. And the people who work here are artists. The food is fresh and presented in a beautiful way. A bright stop on your way through the Berkshires.

Not too many good sushi places around but this one is pretty good. Sake wasn't too bad either.

You get a good portion size for the price. The proteins tasted great and I liked all the different toppings they loaded up, especially the crispy bits that add a nice crunch. The sauces they used really brought the bowls together without overpowering everything else. The staff was friendly and the ordering process was quick and easy. If you are in the area and craving some filling poke, this is a solid spot to check out. I will definitely be going back.

Here, take my money!…read more My friend and I stopped in here for lunch on this Sunday before Memorial Day. I ordered the $13 polk bowl, which consisted of white rice, cucumbers, seafood salad, shrimp, cucumber, and a variety of different sauces, including a ginger sauce. This bowl was spot on delicious! This was sushi in a bowl, for less money! All the different flavors just popped. Every ingredient was fresh. I never had a poke bowl before, but boy I could have this once a week. This is a newer location in Avon. The place is spotless. The restrooms are spotless. Now let me tell you about the young man who prepared my polk bowl. Since I told him I never had one, this young man took the time to review the menu with me. After I made my choice, he explained to me through each ingredient that he was putting into the bowl. I also ordered one of those sodas that you punch the top down and a marble goes into the soda, anyway you have to see it to believe it. He showed me exactly how to open the soda, which was a lot of fun. This young man was so respectful, and I think he was excited as I was about me being in there and tasting a poke bowl for the first time. Poke Brothers is only 7 miles for me. I will make it a habit going forward to stop here and enjoy whether it be lunch or dinner. Sorry for the no photographs, my phone was at Verizon getting traded in for this new iPhone 16. I love this thing. If you are in Avon, this would be a solid choice for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean as a whistle, and the help, was so impressive. I love this place. This may be my New go to for eats.

This is a haute cuisine place that is masked by the casual dining atmosphere. Seriously: top notch chef, original recipes, a core dedication to quality seafood, paired with a fresh fish counter and some prepared food to go. We usually go for something special, but tonight I decided to get an old childhood standby, fried clams (the Boston Basket) and the fish burger sandwich. I did not expect either to be as transportive as they turned out to be. The fried clams were as delicately done as I've ever had: not crispy, but not too floppy, with excellent breading. And while I prefer my clams naked, we tried all three of the dipping sauces -- a remoulade, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. Now normally I loathe cocktail sauce and can take tartar sauce or leave it, so I figured we'd eat up the remoulade and ignore the other two. Still, I gave them little nibbles. Man! The cocktail sauce was like no other I've had, with a heavy hint of horseradish and a far fresher flavor than I've ever had. Then the tartar sauce -- genius! It had a delicate spicing, with capers providing a floral backdrop. That was only a preliminary, as the fish burger proved to be complex, with hints of multiple kinds of fish, and a fennel-based spicing. I ended up having that afterglow, as if I'd had a couple of cocktails and was sitting next to a fireplace, that is the hallmark of truly fine food at an advanced level. We also had the usual outstanding service, attentive without being pushy. I seriously think Hooked should consider splitting into two restaurants: one where the ambiance is upgraded to match the high caliber of the food, and another cheaper one that is strictly fast casual and takeout, and they'd more than double the business. There is a restaurant back where we come from in California, Turtle Bay, that did this with fine dining on one side and the quick, simple, and affordable food on the other side, with a big shared kitchen between them but with completely separate ambiances. That way I could come back more frequently, and still have the original Hooked for special occasions!

I finally decided to give Hooked a try after hearing many great things about their lobster roll…read more With that said, I'm glad I did because the food was delicious. To explain, I ordered the cold lobster roll with fries and it was great. First off, the lobster was tender, incredibly fresh, and they loaded the roll with it. Likewise, the roll was perfect. It was airy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. My only issue with the lobster roll was that it needed more mayonnaise. In the same manner, the fries were phenomenal. To make plain, the fries were scorching hot and seasoned to perfection. Also, they had a crispy exterior with a fluffy interior. These were simply great fries. Essentially, Hooked offers great lobster rolls and fries.
