ND39. Pad Thai. Don't recognize it.

The safest thing on the menu in a Thai restaurant should be the Pad Thai. I have had it dozens of times in lots of places in multiple continents. This one was not like any Pad Thai I have ever had. It was not flavorful, had hardly any chicken, few spices, strange noodles and a sauce I could not identify. It is not a surprise that the restaurant was nearly empty on a Saturday night. Not for me.

We lunched on a quiet Saturday afternoon; service was prompt and personable. Four of us raved about our dishes which were distinctly tasty and plentiful. The food could not have been fresher. Kudos to the waitress who served us with a joyous attitude. Prices were quite fair. We will bring more friends for delectable food.

We ordered through doordash but there was no drivers at great barrington to pickup our order so we had to call the restaurant so we can pick it up ourselves. We ordered the garlic shrimp, crispy chicken wings, and mango delight. Garlic shrimp had broccoli and other vegetable inside. I feel that the vegetables were taken over by the shrimp itself. Mango delight is mango with sticky rice but there was barely any sticky rice on it.

The food was absolutely amazing. We started with steamed dumplings which were the best we've ever had in NY. I had a red curry dish and my husband had the " buddies" dish and they were both so delicious! The service was top-notch, friendly and very quick. The ambience was oldish traditional Thai decor, but that really added to the charm of the place. The price was really, very fair as well. Highly recommend!

Quick stop through on my way home from Attleboro, the food was delicious and the wait staff were super nice.

Came across this place about a year ago and drove by a couple of times when visiting in the area. Now we eat Thai pretty often and been to a lot of great places. Figured we give this place a shot. Heard that they changed owners and chef. So first the Thai ice tea was very tasty, however a bit on the sweet side. The fried tofu I thought was very good and if you like tofu I think this would be a nice little dish. The Thai dumplings were very good, moist and nicely flavored. The chicken Satay was tender and the peanut sauce was good. The Thai fried wings were great! They were nice and crunchy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. They were for sure really good. The curry I got was also very good very rich creamy flavor and great with rice. I thought they also made a very good drunken noodle. Good and amount of seasoning and spice. So had the Pad See Ew which is normally my favorite dish was not the best in my opinion. My wife however said that she really liked it. The sauce was not the normal sauce and did not have the thicker flat noodle. Now for the pineapple fried rice this I also thought to be delicious. Made with really good flavor and nicely cooked. The only other thing I thought all the main dishes all had a lot of carrots. I mean I guess that was ok but never had it in pad see ew. Also it had cabbage which I normally like however I thought it to be a bit weird in the pad see ew. Yes we always order a lot because I like to try it all. The staff was very friendly and had a nice conversation with the new owner which owns a couple other Thai restaurants. I hope this place will be a success for them.

Delicious cuisine and nice people in "downtown" Great Barrington. Attentive to spice levels. Will come back.

My food was so bland, I thought I had lost my ability to taste. Pineapple fried rice with chicken. Consistency of oatmeal, zero flavor.

The Blue Elephant Trail's lunch menu is very ambitious. They feature fourteen lunch specials in the $13-$15 range before protein choice that max out at just $3. So, adding Chicken, Beef, Pork, Tofu, Eggplant, Crispy Chicken, Shrimp, Scallop, Squid, or Mixed Seafood is a minimal surcharge. All lunch entrees come with a choice of Vegetable Tom Yum Soup or House Salad with Ginger Dressing. And if you're so inclined, you can convert your entrée into a Bento Box for $3 and add three shrimp Shumai and two Spring Rolls. I ordered a Bento Box of their Ginger Stir Fry with fresh ginger, baby corn, bell peppers, carrots, mushrooms, onions, brown rice, and chicken for $17. It was big enough for two portions. I loved it- the flavor was great, the chicken was delicious, the Tom Yum soup was loaded with vegetables, and the Bento Box goodies (especially the Shu Mai) were perfect. My wife is a big Pad Thai fan, and her Pad Thai lunch ($14) earned high marks. Her portion was also large, so both of us had enough for a second meal. Our server, Jordan, was professional, friendly, and attentive. Zero complaints about the Blue Elephant Trail. Food, value, and service were all excellent. PRO TIP Lunch menu is available Monday to Friday from 11:30AM - 3:00PM
