Loved it, so glad the Yelp community got us here! Went to their neighbor restaurant the day before, it's the burger place on the corner and had a lovely meal. Had another lovely meal today. We had the salt and pepper calamari, Vietnamese iced coffee, pad see ew and beef pho. It all hit the spot and the service was great. Beautiful inside as well. read more

Catching up on posts! Ate her a while ago, party of 5 We were amazed and excited to see a vegetarian section of the menu! We had 3 vegetarians! YUM! And not your repetitive lame menu options! They even did a low sodium dish for me which is rare for me! Everything we had was amazing from our Thai tea drinks to our dinners, service, delicious meals, decor, etc! We will definitely be back!! Vongs is my favorite Asian restaurant. The food is consistently delicious and fresh My only complaint is the last time my sister and I were there's older man sitting at the next table was talking really loud across the room to another guy sitting at the bar. It was so loud we had a hard time talking with each other. read more

They DO offer table service now and the staff are very nice. The place is clean and cute. Service can be a tiny bit slow if they're swamped with takeout orders, but the chicken pho and summer rolls are always very good. Plenty of parking, too. We visit Pittsfield frequently because of family here and Vong's is becoming a staple for us! read more

I'd never been here before, but when I told my nephew I'd take him out for his birthday, he suggested Vong's and since I love Thai food, I readily agreed. I took a group of four for dinner, and OH. MY. GOD. The SERVICE was amazing. The atmosphere was amazing. BUT THE FOOD - the fact that they don't have a line around the block constantly is a crime. This is the best Thai food I have ever eaten, and I've eaten a good amount of Thai food. I'm just kicking myself that I haven't eaten here before, but trust me, I'm gonna do so a lot more. read more

It says on the signs take-out only but you can actually eat in the restaurant which is nice, it's just not full service. Just order and pay and they actually delivered our food to our table. The food was good. My husband liked his Panag curry. I had a veggie dish with peanut sauce which was okay, the veggies were fresh. I did enjoy the Thai iced tea too! I think I would like to try some other dishes and it's good to know that you can get tofu instead of meat which is nice. Located next to BMC hospital. read more

Stopped by on a whim and was pleasantly surprised at how good my food was. My husband had never had Thai before so it was all new to him. He got the seafood madness & I got the shrimp tempura and mango sticky rice. Yeah!! I love the sticky rice. The shrimp was delicious and the seafood madness had lots of flavor. The food is Asian fusion, Thai and Japanese. Chicken satay was tasty, edamame was standard, the pad thai was so-so. For me the curry is a bit too sweet. There is no table service so your order is served in take away containers. read more

We are tough reviewers. Modest Vong has really good food, charming service, huge portions, and pleasant surroundings. The menu was interesting and the portions were so large we took the substantial amount left over home for another meal. The green curry had abundant vegetables and chicken and the mango chicken was delicious although not as spicy as I would have liked. The prices are very reasonable and they are even open on a Sunday. We'll go back - it's the only Thai resturant within 40 miles. We'll make the drive to eat there again. read more

We were staying nearby and headed to a concert at Tanglewood, and wanted something fun, delicious, and reasonably priced. Vongs had great yelp reviews that are wel-deserved! We ordered and then picked up 20 minutes later. I had mango chicken curry, white rice, and Thai tea. My husband ordered a noodle chicken dish with the thin spaghetti shaped noodles, and also a tea. While it was a little more expensive than our favorite Thai places, it was delicious and cooked perfectly. My curry had plenty of ripe mango and neither dish skimped on the chicken. We also ordered the chicken satay and steamed dumplings (they called them ravioli). The dumplings weren't great, rather bland. We munched on the satay while in traffic to park. Wow! The BEST satay I've ever had. Beautifully marinated in a curry mix, amazing seasoning, big pieces of chicken relatively thick and generous for satay. Great service, incredible food. Oh, and the teas were great - not too sweet, not overly creamy - a great blend of flavors. We will absolutely go back when we're at all nearby. I cannot recommend them enough.! read more

Food was PHENOMENAL! We dropped in on a whim, and I am so glad we did. They don't do table service due to a staff shortage, but don't let this turn you away. They were still as attentive as possible, and your food comes in takeout containers which proved to be super convenient for taking out leftovers! We got the crab ragoons to start which were fresh and had this creamy curry filling that was unique and delicious. The pad Thai was a big portion and super flavorful, and the Tom yum soup was amazing!! My boyfriend got the beef pad see which was equally as fantastic. This place really exceeded our exceptions! My family and I grew up cooking and eating Thai and Vietnamese food and it's hard to find really good, authentic Asian restaurants out here in the Berkshires. For an app, we ordered Crab Rangoon, which was very delicious, they add a bit of curry powder for extra flavor and color and it also came with a side salad with yummy dressing. We both ordered Kuay Teow Nua, which was a Thai beef noodle soup; very comforting, delicious, and super filling in the best way. For drinks we ordered a Thai Iced Tea and Vietnamese Iced Coffee, which were both AMAZING, I need to learn how to make mine like theirs! Highly recommend this place if you're looking for an authentic and etasty experience! - we came back and tried the Pad Thai and Pad Grapow and both dishes were delicious!!!! I'm super picky when it comes to Pad Thai because my family makes it very well, but this place makes it just as good! read more

The menu is unique and has some interesting twists to your thai food. They had an option of Pad Thai with Crunchy Fried Chicken. Yes, Please! Since it is COVID time, we had to order take out. I feel like most meals loose a little flavor if it is not piping hot. The food however, was still pretty hot but I did not get any fried chicken. The noodles were crunchy and it was a pretty sweet dish. I also ordered the drunken noodles. This dish was definitely spicy but very tasty. It did have too many green beans but pairs well with the bell peppers. The prices are a little higher than normal and the portion sizes are adequate. read more

My craving for a delicious bowl of pho led me to this restaurant during our vacation up at the Berkshires. I was a little skeptic on the "Thai and Vietnamese" cuisines since usually combination of Asian cuisines means that they are not specialized in something. For Vongs - I stand corrected. First of all, the place is not big, but has plenty of seating indoor and outdoor (although not sure if you want to eat outdoors because it's by a busy intersection). Price is reasonable with plenty of choices from vegetarian to seafood. They have a full bar with 2 beers on tap (also have bottled/can choices). It's welcoming, clean, and well-kept. They were out of the summer rolls, so we ordered the Vietnamese spring roll. I usually is not a fan of fried spring rolls but this one is yummy! It's pork, clear noodles, and veggies wrapped in a sticky rice wrapping deep-fried. Has a great chewy texture and not greasy at all. It came with a sweet spicy duck sauce which added an extra punch to the spring roll. The order comes in 4 half-cut rolls. From my initial browsing of the menu, I couldn't find "pho" because they actually call it Kuay Tiew Nua. We also ordered seafood noodle soup and my husband decided to order steam vegetable with peanut sauce because he wanted a light dinner. All of the dish's portion is really generous. My pho noodle soup was PERFECT! My craving finally satisfied. The soup is flavorful with thinly sliced beef and onions. Be sure to ask for a side dish of fresh basil and bean sprouts to go with your pho - our waitress didn't bring it out automatically. The seafood soup base is also very delicious. Same rice noodle but a very different because of the soup base and obviously with seafood. The warm peanut sauce that came with the steamed vegetable was really good too. Jasmin rice was cooked perfectly. I would be a regular at this restaurant if I didn't live so far away. All in all - a wonderful find. I will be sure to come here again next time I'm in the Berkshires!!! read more

Incredible food. Came here based on reviews. Amazing food and incredible interior. We were told we could only order takeout (staff shortage) but patrons were allowed to eat the takeout inside the restaurant on disposable plates and plastic utensils. The appetizers were incredible and names misleading: the "ravioli" were really scrumptious fried dumplings. The rangoons were more like spicy samosas. Everything was amazing so we went back a second time. read more

I've had a bit of their food and appetizers. I've gotta say they're not my absolute favorite. Some things are meh to me, if may not be the same for you, but for certain I can say I do love their duck soup. I get that almost every time I go now because it tastes so good! It tastes consistently the same every time I go! I also get their Thai tea. This isn't the best Thai place I've had but I have found something I truly enjoy from here. Vongs is a wonderful place to come and enjoy fresh made and delicious Thai food. The wait staff is very friendly, and attended to all of my needs. I ordered a Ba Mee Geow, and I have to say, it was delicious. For a little while there, take out was a bit sketchy, and what you would receive in your bag was almost as random as the weather in Berkshire county, but the takeout staff has fixed itself, and now I no longer have the pleasure of surprise, but the warm feeling inside of getting what I ordered. Although the food is delicious, the best part of coming here is the side entertainment between two of the staff. As a regular, I have seen the relationship of these two blossom into a beautiful young love story. Seeing these two just makes my old heart fill with butterflies, and recount the days of my own love, George Delanie, on Maple Drive. We would play in the tire swing in my own back yard 'till the lil ol' went down. Wow, did I fall for him. All in all, 8.5/10. Please visit this local treasure. read more

I wanted to eat some really spicy and nice Thai food, if you are like me and want something really spicy, this isn't the place for you! I asked to make Thai spicy and it was disappointing. Still only take out and I ordered soup and entree. Well they must be using a lot of msg now or different cook. I had explosive diarrhea which was awful. When I was eating it I said this is different not as fresh as it usually is. Before they use to make things with very fresh ingredients and no msg. Also I wonder if they lost cook and different cook as it just was no where near as good. I love Thai and Vietnamese food but I will not be returning again until I hear new cook and mgmt. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by this delicious Thai Vietnamese eatery. Surprised because my mother-in-law redirected us there while we were reroute to a pizza joint -- and all I wanted was pizza! It was very clean and the two servers we encountered were both particularly friendly. We ordered a nice assortment of vegetarian and chicken dishes, including spicy eggplant and Panang curry. I also had a really interesting bourbon cocktail. (They have a full bar.) We are vacation here and will be back a few times over the summer. I will definitely be back! read more
