Decent food, good price. This is our staple Chinese food in town if we are going to order it. The only reason it isn't a 5 start is we always argue about who is calling to order it. I really want to say something positive about this restaurant and the best I can come up with is that the prices are reasonable. Then again, the quality of the food is poor so perhaps on price to quality ratio, the cost is too high. First time visit for take out and absolutely is my last visit. Very low quality food (crab Rangoon is most def pre-frozen and fried too long, the dough for the wontons in the soup was so thick and the stuffing generally unidentifiable). this has to be the worst food, AND the worst Chinese food I have ever not eaten. The Veg steamed dumplings were totally inedible. The Moo Shu Shrimp was tasteless, the pancakes so thin that the liquid from the main dish literally ate right thru it. No plum sauce either. The Shrimp Fried Rice was dry, tough, chewy, tasteless, etc. There is no reason to go there or to order from there. It was ok. The sit-down area is a little sad. One table (of the four) had a huge crack in it. This place must do mostly take-out. We got our food all in take-out containers with styrofoam plates and plastic forks. Typical greasy chinese food...but...it was what were in the mood for. We were the only ones in the restaurant this day but it was Thanksgiving Day (we were traveling for a family reunion and celebrated our own Thanksgiving on Wednesday). Yesterday, three of us(adults) came to eat dinner. One person ordered sweet and sour shrimp with white rice. Next person ordered the special ginger duck and brown rice. Third person ordered triple delights( meat, chicken, shrimp with vegetables )and brown rice. The sweet-and-sour shrimp came immediately. Eight minutes later neither of the other two meals nor any of the rice had arrived. We called over the host. He had the rice brought over for the shrimp dinner. The other two meals still had not arrived. We returned the shrimp meal and said we wanted all the meals together. 18 minutes later we received all the meals. They didn't seem to care that we had waited a long time. We got no apology. I ordered the ginger duck. It's texture was parboiled and stringy! We stopped her based on the previous review and the food was great. Crab rangoon had a nice sweetness. Lo Mein had lots of vegetables. Chicken and broccoli and general tso was good too. Overall one of the better Chinese food restaurants I have been to. read more

I give this 3-1/2 stars, the food was good, hot and fresh. There is limited seating and you are served with plastic utensils and paper plates. There was no condiments at the table and the interior is run down. Despite the atmosphere it's not bad food and I will go back and do takeout. read more

They screwed up my order and refused to admit it. They then spent 15 minutes arguing with me that they hadn't screwed up. Eventually I got them to just refund me for the wrong item, but the women kept calling me "fat boy" in Chinese thinking I didn't understand her. The kitchen is filthy, the dining area has a layer of grease all over it. This place is full of hateful people who pretend to not speak English when it suits them. Avoid this place like the plague. Red Apple, also in town, is owned by the same family, so avoid them too. read more

The food is OK, but the customer service is terrible. The man who answered the phone today to take my order, could barely speak English, we finally gave up and wound up ordering from somewhere else. A few years ago, we picked up a take-out order, drove 20 minutes home, and it was the wrong order. We drove all the way back there and they would not refund our money. Good for takeout only. The "decor" (if it can be called that) is low budget and looks it. I like the food okay for standard basic Cantonese restaurant fare but nothing to go out of your way for. Last time my wife went to pick up food, it was a very hot day. The palce was sweltering and the owner appeared to be cooking in his underwear (boxer shorts). As a result my wife refuses to go there any more. The lunch special are a decent value for a good sized foam clamshell full of food. But remember to take it to go. there are tables but hardly anyone eats on site. read more

It can be a desperate situation for lovers of good chinese food, especially vegetarians, in the Berkshires. I am really pleased to have discovered Panda Garden. Not only is there an amazing variety of tofu dishes but the quality is really high. The owners are very efficient and the kitchen is visible and very clean. Absolutely delicious! Ordered takeout to our hotel and food was hot and so good! All our entrees (amazing chicken, beef with veggies, noodles, and crab Rangoon) tasted great. Not greasy at all and the vegetables are bright, colorful, and not soggy. Definitely recommend. Portion sizes are large and yummy. read more
