This cozy restaurant was highly recommended while we are in Lee and they were right! It's incredible that it just opened August 2022 and they've perfected their menu. It's located on the first floor of a beautiful Victorian home, with a large parking lot in the back and a wide ramp making it handicap accessible. The decor is simple and clean. The food is just delicious and nicely plated. As most people have stated there are many must tries! We loved the Burmese hot tea with milk. The pork dumplings were hot, fresh and crisp. The coconut chicken noodle bowl was so soothing and velvety. The chicken pad tai perfection. It's BYOB so go next door to the package store and the restaurant will supply you with the glassware! There was only one kind guy servicing all the tables. He was super efficient and friendly. They don't have a website, however they do have a Facebook page and an Instagram account where they post more info and photos. We will definitely go back to try the sushi and many other dishes. We keep going back again and again! Because the food is always tasty and fresh. The service is good though they sometimes get a bit slow when they are busy. Owner run and family operated. I noticed the sign as I was driving through Lee on my way home to Pittsfield. Yes! Something out of the ordinary. We had the tom yum soup, pad thai and pad see yew. I have always craved the flavors of Asia and they did not disappoint. Excellent combination of spices. Although the restaurant is called Burmese Bowl, I found it more Thai, but I don't really know the influences in food in the former Burma. I was surprised to see so much sushi on the menu. They just opened the other day, and I just happened to pass by. Very happy I stopped; that was literally the best poke bowl I've ever had (and that includes my two weeks in Hawaii). Three of us had lunch here. The food was excellent. The tempura was hot and crisp. The tea leaf salad was Judy right, crunchy and garlicky and spicy - really delicious. The pad Thai was great not too sweet, lots of chicken and bean sprouts, the noodles were cooked just right. It is in a lovely old remodeled Edwardian house not too far off the thruway. Amazing! I went to another restaurant to get pizza originally, but decided to come here instead because of the long wait- omg what a good decision! I am frfom Arizona and was passing through Lee, looking to Starbucks. I got lost and had to turn around. I tried to turn into the liquor store parkng lot next door but missed their drive, so pulled into th next drive way, which was Burmese Bowl. Since it was lunch, and the building looked nice fro outside, I decided to go in for lunch. I was immediately greeted by the staff and provided a nice table. The menu was clean and clear and did not have a ton of odd items, just about a dozen or two options that were well described and offered a variety for most diets. I ordered the Pad See Ew which was very tasty. The noodles were done just right, the shrimps were properly cooked and the vegetables were cooked but crunchy. It was an enjoyable meal. And tghe price was very affordable. I am so glad I stumbled on this little gem of a restaurant. read more

My husband and I had the pleasure of eating here and really enjoyed the food. We had the samosas (which were amazing) to start p, and the pork spring rolls which were also delicious, crispy and loaded with pork. My husband had the chicken pad Thai and I had the coconut chicken noodles. Both very good. We will definitely return. The only thing lacking was some ambiance and perhaps a bit of music to dine by. After a long day I was looking for a good summer roll and I ran across the Burnese Bowl. Welcoming and friendly, I ordered takeout - Tom Yum, a fried rice special and shrimp summer rolls. When I got home, I was very happy. Delicious with fresh ingredients. In-house diners appeared to be very content. The building was clean, orderly and nicely appointed. Brought by a friend to enjoy a weekday lunch and my goodness, I've been missing out by not having gone here sooner. What a charming and lovely restaurant, run by amazing owners. Not only was the food delicious, we were recommended to try the Burmese Iced Tea w/ milk (do try it, it's DELICIOUS) and were very well taken care of by our server. Our sushi was absolutely delicious and brought out very quickly. My friend had the Fried Calamari - the best we've ever had, nice and crispy - not at all chewy. The 3 of us ordered takeout and dined in my living room. Everyone was happy with their meals. My rainbow sushi roll and seaweed salad tasted fresh and crunchy--just what you want from this type of food. My friend's crab tempura roll was excellent, and very filling. My other pal got an unagi roll which was flawless. I recommend that you order this dish. The same friend's beef pho was, apparently, lacking in flavor. But he ate a lot of it. Prices were reasonable and the waiting time was 15-20 minutes. I'm thrilled to have this new take-out spot in Lee. Apparently the interior has tables but also features bright neon lights, blank walls, and no music, so I suggest that you bring the meal to your home. I'll be ordering from Burmese Bowl in the future. And for $6, the seaweed salad is a score! read more

Discovered this amazing place on a trip to the Berkshires this past fall. Our first time having Burmese food, and it was SO good. The restaurant is easy to get to from I-90 and has a good sized parking lot behind the building. We were there on a Monday for lunch and it was moderately busy. The service was excellent, items came out fairly quickly, and the staff checked in frequently (but not so much that it was obtrusive). The food: everything we had was absolutely delicious! Tried the fermented tea leaf salad, Burmese hot tea with milk, coconut chicken noodles, and garlic noodles with pork (I think it was the See Jet noodles). - The tea leaf salad had a very unique flavor that I can't quite describe, but it was super tasty and had these great crunchy roasted beans. Note: this dish was a little bit spicy (I am a baby about spice, but this dish was so good that I kept eating it despite the slight spiciness). - The Burmese tea had a similar but not identical taste to Thai tea. - The two noodle dishes were very flavorful and neither was spicy (although the garlic noodles were very garlicky and did have that garlic zippiness that is almost like spiciness). - The coconut noodles come in a creamy, savory, non-spicy sauce that reminded me of Thai curry. It was almost soup-like because of the amount of sauce. The dish was topped with a hard-boiled egg and this crunchy cracker thing that I think was made from beans. My only complaint is that I live more about 2 hours away so I can't come here more often! read more

Beef pho was excellent! Very flavorful without a lot of salt or fat. Ginger salad was also great ! Rice box chicken curry was subtle; I thought it was only okay the first night; when I heated up leftovers I recognized the complexity of flavors. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in the Berkshires. The first time I went I was not impressed - the green tea salad was dry, very different from my preference, the coconut chicken was good but probably colored by my disappointment with the salad. They also didn't have the gluten-free thing down and I had to make my own noodles. I'm glad to say they've figured it out and are now gf friendly. Highly recommended. read more

We've eaten here three times and ordered a total of ten dishes - all wonderful. Reasonable prices - great value. The chef/owner is actually Burmese and cooks with his wife during the evening shift - and is proud to offer some dishes you're not likely to find within a hundred mile radius of the South Berkshires. We loved the Burmese Fermented Tea Leaf Salad with shredded cabbage, and all kinds of interesting crunchy bits and new flavors... fried garlic, sesame seeds, and assorted toasted legumes and peas and peanuts. How did we get so lucky? Also looking forward to the special now being offered of Thai style Hainanese chicken and rice. (Koa Man Gai is rice cooked in the chicken's broth with ginger and garlic oil for a more aromatic flavor). Two poke bowls really delivered with precisely cut sushi-grade raw tuna and salmon over rice with mounds of avocado, carrots, edamame soybean salad, crunchy emerald green seaweed salad, poke sauce and spicy mayo sushi sauce. More familiar dishes were just right, like the fried calamari - super fresh tasting with a delicate crunchy coating and tender interior. The pork filled spring rolls were meat-packed and exotically tasty (for the Berkshires). Chicken wings - yum. Pad See Ew and Pad Thai noodle dishes were as good as the best we've ever had anywhere, and now we're looking forward to the other various noodle dishes: Burmese Bowl pepper fish soup with thin rice noodles. Coconut Chicken Noodles. Chicken with coconut milk. Lo Mei (Burmese Style) with choice of meat or seafood. Shan Noodle with Pork or Chicken in tomato sauce. See Jet Noodle Salad with chicken or pork with garlicy noodle. And Nan Gyi Noodles with chicken and fresh thick white rice noodles. Not sure exactly what any of these are, but totally willing to try them all based on our happy experience so far. BYOB. read more

Had lunch there today with a friend. I had a noodle with fish soup and she had a shrimp tempura poke bowl. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only negative was that my meal arrived a full five minutes before hers, which was awkward. I imagine they will be ironing out these imperfections as they move forward. But the food was great and I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu items. read more
