A nice addition to the neighborhood that offers something a little different. We ordered the oxtail meal, which was tasty. My only complaint is the portion size -- there was a lot of rice but very little cabbage and oxtail meat. The space is nicely decorated, and the service was friendly.

If I could give 6 stars, I would!! They accommodated our large party immediately. The music is great! The owner served us and was friendly and spent time with us. Wonderful service! The food is out of this world!!! The curried goat and pulled pork quesadillas were so delicious, we wanted seconds. I highly recommend

The Lantern is under new ownership and is a great Caribbean BBQ joint. Now called BB's Hot Spot at The Lantern.

This is my lettuce salad. I asked for tomato, croutons . This is after 2 bites.

This is my second time eat here and both times the was terrible. My friend and his daughter took me to lunch today. Since my experience with this place I was very weary about going. So I ordered a salad because I felt like you can't mess that up. Well iwas wrong. My friend also complained about the meal he ordered which was pull pork sandwich and French fry. The fry was cold and soggy the pork had 2 day taste. I will not eat at this restaurant again. This place is awful the worst restaurant in Pittsfield. Also the people that like this probably have not had the real thing. Go to Springfield or Albany to try the same food and come back to bb Hotspot and you will understand where I'm coming from

    So good!

The people were nice and the place itself was pretty nice looking, the food was overpriced and taste like actual vomit.

So, checking out reviews, this seemed to be the place! It is a small bar & grill type establishment - simple but clean and only open limited hours on weekends. You order at the bar & then find a seat. They bring your order when it's ready. The ladies behind the bar were helpful & friendly. Service was super quick - we had our food in no time. To get an taste of almost everything, we ordered a Judge's Platter & were told it would be plenty for two to share. Not only was it plenty, but half the platter went home with us! The meats were fantastic! Tender, meaty ribs, Perfectly smoked brisket, an entire half chicken, a slab of tasty smoke turkey, a pile of pulled pork & some very tasty, cheesy sausage. Wow! Would easily feed a small family! For sides, we added beans, collards & threw in an additional mac & cheese. While I wasn't a fan of the beans or mac, the collard greens ( something tough to find in this neck of the world ) were fabulous!!! Thank you for filling our BBQ craving! We'll be back!

Chicken wings, sausage, brisket and of course burnt ends. All of which were incredible. The sauces and pickles are all house made and being from Oklahoma this was a surprise to find on the east coast. Im not a big cornbread fan but Laura sold me on trying it and I'm so glad she did. It's unlike any cornbread I have had. The BBQ was top tier stuff and I have been to many of the most well known spots in the mid west. All that said, Laura and her friendly, inviting attitude make this a place I wish I lived closer to. I had to do some work and sat in the corner on my computer for a while so I got to speak with her several times. I didn't want to bug the Chef, her husband Jeff, so I'll take this time to say thanks for hooking me up with the best BBQ i have had in months! It was a little taste of home while away from home. The atmosphere if family friendly and I'm sure they would accommodate large parties. I will be back!

"I like smoke and lightning Heavy metal thunder"…read more(Steppenwolf) Q: What on earth is Antimony? A: Antimony is a heavy metal. Chemical symbol Sb and atomic number 51 on your periodic table. Antimony is known as the "wolf of metals" because its chemical structure allows it to devour pretty much any other metal except gold. So that kind of explains all of the wolf-inspired logos and imagery you'll see at Antimony Brewing. It's located in a big retail center with plenty of parking and located on a main road (Route 20), so it's a very easy to visit and enjoy some wonderful beers and food. Four if us just had lunch there and we had a terrific visit. Of course, when I visit a brewery-restaurant, the first thing I do when seated is scope out the beer list and find something that intrigues me. Their selection represents pretty much everything in the beer world - IPAs, Double IPAs, Sours, Ales, Stouts, and Pilsners, plus some very cool cocktails and hard cider. I went with a 16-ounce pour of their Cherry Blonde Ale ($9, 5.0 ABV, 20 IBU). It was mild, very drinkable and quite delicious. Their food menu is very ambitious with ten small plates (how about Texas Twinkie Egg Rolls, Panko Crusted Cheese Curds, or Chicken Kimchi Potstickers?), four salads, eight burgers including elk, bison, lamb, Wagyu, and Ghost Pepper, eight sandwiches including tacos and a Prime Rib Dip, seven Big Plates including salmon, brisket and steak tips, and four pizzas including Wild Mushroom and Balsamic Fig. I couldn't resist the Ghost Pepper Smash Burger ($19) with ghost pepper cheddar, candied jalapenos garlic aioli, and a double smashed burger patties. I thought it was a great choice, the burger patties were yummy and the candied jalapenos packed a punch. The ghost pepper cheese didn't seem to add much zip, but maybe it was overpowered by the jalapenos? My wife ordered a short pour of their cider draft ($4 for 5-ounces) and it was served with a cinnamon sugar dusting on the rim, which really enhanced the apple cider! Her lunch was the Butternut Squash Salad ($16) with mixed greens, cubed butternut squash, goat cheese, candied pecans, dried cranberries, and a maple vinaigrette dressing. What a great mix of flavors and textures. Our server was a young lady named Karizma and she was personable, professional, and very helpful. Our party of four's lunch ran $129 for 5 drinks, our burger and salad, plus another salad (with salmon) and a fish and chips. We had a totally enjoyable visit with great food, great drink, and great friends. PRO TIP There are no sinks in the men's room or ladies' room. Instead, there is a Unisex communal bank of sinks for everyone to wash up together. Seems like a very cool way to make friends!!

We heard good things and we wanted to stop for early dinner…read more Nice space, big bar, nice selection of beers. They were out of 2 of the seasonal and the next day they were starting a pickle special menu. Too bad we missed it! The service was nice, waitress was attentive. The hostess wasn't that cheery and definitely not happy when I requested a booth due to my bad back. Other than that we really enjoyed the cheese curds, Mac and cheese and beer. Our favorite beer was the cherry one. I would like to return.

It was all edible, but there were problems with every single thing we ordered. We started with the marinated mushroom & sausage flatbread: one of the better items and fairly tasty with a tomato sauce base, could have used a tart element like a balsamic drizzle to wake it up a bit. My husband got the Korean bbq burger, which at $27 was honestly a bit insane and doubly so when it wasn't good. There's not a single thing that was wrong, the whole conception is an epic fail. A beef burger should not have an intense taste of soy. Sorry, harsh but true. The exorbitant price is insult to injury. The ham and cheese croquettes should never have been offered with the cinnamon sugar dusting. Another bizarre pairing that makes no sense in your mouth and adds nothing. The dijonnaise was good if a bit mild... amp up the savory flavor and put more ham in the mix with a touch more salt please. Finally, the Public Salad was a good base but needs a bit of a vinegar component to make it sing. I'd recommend red wine vinegar, just a small splash in the dressing. Overall enjoyed it and the chicken was adequately moist. Thank you for having us.
