I love this place! I'm very picky with seafood and I have yet to have a bad order from here. The prices of the items are justified considering their portions and quality. I definitely recommend the catfish; super crispy/crunchy! Any Asian knows that if a place serves rice you can't help but judge the place if they're legit just on how they cook their rice, and let me tell you I would not be ashamed to bring my mother here. I ordered just the catfish and a side of white rice and was I not disappointed! If you like Boba tea definitely do not skip on their bobas! I personally like the brown sugar flavor!

Crab legs, shrimp, corn, and boiled eggs

My first time eating at Union Seafood. The eating area was very clean and spacious. Take out business was booming. I ordered the 1lb of crab legs and 1lb of headless shrimp. Serving size was good. The bag contained the shrimp, crab legs, potatoes, boiled eggs and plenty of sauce. They were very accommodating because I requested to use less of anything salty. My only complaint is I really think the crab legs and the eggs were overcooked. Not really concerned about the eggs. The meat of the claws was mushy to a certain degree. I could never get a nice solid piece of meat from the claws and I think that's an indication that it's slightly overcooked. With corn being out of season I found the corn could have been old and it had big kernels. They don't put sausage in their combo of shrimp and crab legs.

There's a parking lot and some gorgeous decor inside. The restrooms are sparkling clean. The service is top-notch and the staff is happy to answer any questions about allergies. I was a big fan of the salmon at Van's and almost went with that at Saigon but was convinced to try something different so I went with the pork. I'm not usually a pork fan but I've had Vietnamese pork before and enjoyed it. The pork here was perfection. I enjoyed my usual small bowl of Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup ($8.00) with tender dumplings, egg noodles, scallions, cilantro, and crispy shallots in a flavorful broth. Best ever. Upon my recommendation, we both ordered the Shaking Beef, or Bò Lúc Lắc, ($25.) which is a delicious Vietnamese dish of marbled cubes of beef tossed in all the good stuff: soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, a little sugar, butter, garlic, and black pepper. Everything is shaken around in the wok to get a nice all-around sear, hence the name...Shaking Beef! We enjoyed it with Brown Rice instead of Jasmine. Kudos: The cubed filet mignon was cooked perfectly; it was tender and pink in middle. Outstanding! Two reactions: --I did not like the lime dipping sauce because it was very salty (grains of Sea Salt intact)served in a small dish that was on the plate, so next time I will order another type of sauce. However, the beef was flavorful without it. --There were too many sliced red onions and not enough spring onions. Our two orders to go (Pho with Filet and Chicken Wings) were ready when we finished lunch. Grandsons were delighted! Service was efficient and courteous as usual.

Slight amount of spice nice vegetable crunch tasty marinated beef. Side of french fries were kind of tasty nothing special. Nashville Hot Chicken Sando Combo came with two sandwiches we asked for 1 mild and one regular. The first chicken sandwich was a little dry it might've been the mild flavor, it was all right. The medium chicken sandwich had a little bit more spice than the mild same so so flavor a little dry also. Spicy Pork Bowl with SPICY MAYO. This had a nice flavor, a little bit sweet and a good amount of spice. The sauce was sweeter than I like. We wanted to try a nice variety since we had never been there and have been wanting to try the place for a while. All in all we found the food to be pretty good, not sure if we would order any of these items again though since we felt nothing knocked our socks off. We would like to try the poke bowl next. If you are ordering for pick up be careful about where you order it. Make sure you go to bespoke bowl's website. Important sidenote when ordering takeout here: We ended up going through what we thought was their website and it was some third-party site that was selling this restaurants food and we ended up paying between 12 and $15 more for our order. I showed it to the staff when I picked it up because I had looked at their menu in the store and saw the price difference. The staff seemed confused/surprised.

Then came the pineapple fried rice with pork belly. Savory, caramelized pork belly met bright bursts of pineapple in a perfect sweet-salt balance. Fluffy rice studded with peas, carrots, and ribbons of egg. My three year old son dove in without hesitation, happily scooping forkfuls of rice and pineapple like he had discovered treasure. No negotiations. Just joy. Fifteen minutes later, box in hand, the real event began. Across melting ice. A sharp jaywalk. A cut through the gas station. A full sprint toward the train station as the gates threatened to close and my family waited. It was an unofficial, record-breaking mile fueled entirely by fried rice ambition. Once the cold air finally left my lungs, I cracked open the box. Steam rose into the winter air. The smell alone was victory. I ate every last grain on that train, a triumphant feast earned the hard way. My wife was not impressed with how close I cut it. I, however, stand by the decision. Some meals are worth the sprint.

It was a little funky, a bit like kimchi, with a wonderful textural crunch provided by the peanuts. Palata (deep fried layered & flattened dough), commonly served at street food stalls, is reminiscent of scallion pancakes (without the scallion). In this case, it was served with a chicken, potato, and dahl stew. The saltiness of the stew was tamed by the layered and fatty dough. I might skip the chicken dumplings because those were boiled from frozen, store bought items. The pandan dessert, similar to a bubble tea, was an added extra. I'd definitely go again.

In the background on the TV was the Food Network. Our waitress was very polite and gave us time to order. I started with the Szechuan dumplings which turned out to be steamed dumplings in a spicy peanut saucy. They were very soft, almost to the point of mushy, and the meatball inside was chewy. I had never heard of them before and really enjoyed them, though I didn't find them spicy. My wife disagreed on that point, and didn't care for them. For my son, we ordered "chicken fingers". They were larger pieces of battered deep fried chicken (think sweet and sour chicken) and cooked so long as to be hard and greasy. He didn't want to eat them, and after one bit I completely agreed. They were terrible. Very little meat, very hard coating, very oily. Yuck. We threw nearly all of it away. My wife ordered sushi, and during the ordering process there was some confusion as to what fish came with it and whether there was an upcharge or not. She ended up with a standard sushi order and didn't enjoy it all that much. It might have been sitting around a bit too long. I ordered the General Tso chicken and was very disappointed. There was lots of chicken and it wasn't fried as hard as the chicken fingers, but I didn't like the sauce. It was loaded with minced ginger, shallots, and garlic which gave it a much different taste than anywhere else I have had this dish. As I looked at it more, it hit me... I have bought this bottled sauce before from the supermarket. I think it is "Iron Kitchen" brand, and I used to have some in my fridge (when I bought it, I discovered it didn't taste good either so it sat in my fridge for ages). Yangs didn't make their sauce from scratch, and it was gloopy and thick. he picture of this dish on the online menu doesn't match what you get. Do they always use this sauce? I dunno, but it was one of the worst versions I have ever eaten. After dropping off our food, the waitress disappeared and was clearly busy with other tables. She never checked on us to see how we were doing, and it took a while for someone else to refill our drinks. They did a tremendous amount of takeout while we were there. All in all, it was a very disappointing meal. We won't be back.

The dine-in area was empty during my visit, but the restaurant was clearly busy with takeout orders--people were regularly coming in to place or pick up food. Having the dining room to myself, I found the staff to be very attentive and quick to take my order. I chose the sashimi lunch special, which came with miso soup, a house salad, and hot tea. I also added an order of edamame. The edamame was freshly steamed and served in the bamboo basket it was cooked in. It was hot, lightly salted, and a perfect way to start the meal. The salad was a simple iceberg mix with dressing. Unfortunately, the dressing didn't have much flavor, so it felt a bit underwhelming. The miso soup was standard--hot, with small pieces of tofu, and just what I expected. The sashimi was nicely sliced, though I found it a bit lacking in flavor on its own. I added soy sauce and wasabi, which helped enhance the experience. I did appreciate the attention to detail with the octopus sashimi--each slice was separated by a thin piece of lemon, which added a subtle citrus note that worked well.
