After tasting the entrees my friend declared the meals to be "crazy good," but he was glad that we ordered them mildly spicy since the spices were making his face sweat a little. He was very happy with the meal. Never one to shy away from a lycee drink, I ordered a Lycee Saketini, which I loved. It included about a 1/2 ounce of sake. We also ordered an Everett Porter Beer which tasted and looked a lot like coffee- chocolate stout. It was delicious. Our server, Ben, helped us with our drink orders. He's very knowledgeable. There are a few and far between for sure. Today I stopped in to check out their fresh fish as I was in the area. On Tuesdays they do have a new delivery. I reviewed their website before stopping and they listed a couple of fish I wanted. I was interested in Bronzino, but once there saw they only had two whole fish left, and I wasn't sure when I would actually cook it. I decided against buying it today. I did buy a half pound of sockeye salmon and Arctic char. I also picked up a couple of packages of frozen fish, Haddock and some Scottish salmon. The prices were $$; for fresh fish it's a bargain. A gentleman came from the kitchen area shortly after I walked in and started looking at the display. Took my order, and tried to sell me on a previous cut which I declined because it was the tail end. He picked out a full fillet and I assumed that he cut the thick portion, but after arriving home and ready for the pan, found that he gave me a tail end. That's what I get for not being specific. I would like to mention he did not ask me how I wanted it cut. He was friendly enough though. They take contactless payment. They do prefer cash and will give a 3% discount for cash.

Since I ordered two tacos, the bill came out to $16. I think I'll order them that way again the next time I visit. Service is great. The staff told me it would take 10-15 minutes to make my meal. I asked if I could go pick up a few items at Market 32 at the other end of the plaza. They're so friendly. They said that would be fine with them. When I returned my meal was ready. It was piping hot. Perfect. Delicious. As always, Fin is clean and has very nice food displays. Business was steady. I was surprised to see that so many customers who arrived for take out meals were older men. They might be retired. They apparently have good taste in food. Tender white fish, perfectly cooked scallops and shrimp. The focus was on the seafood and not trying to overdo the sauces. It was a simple lemon white wine sauce that was delicious and made me want to go back. My husband had a lobster roll which was enormous and he said it was one of the best he's had. The rest of the table had fish and chips and Baja tacos which were all delicious. The fish and chips were not overly breaded or greasy, the fries were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The Baja tacos were refreshing with a lovely cilantro lime slaw. Of course the birthday boy had key lime pie for dessert because life is too short not to. He said it was light, creamy and perfectly tart. We can't wait to go back!

The restaurant is cute and casual with a wonderful assortment of New England style seafood and sides. I ordered a blackened haddock sandwich, onion rings and coleslaw. It was really delicious. I was so happy that I wasn't limited to fish fry and that the blackened haddock came out of the kitchen just as quickly as my friend's fried fish fillet sandwich. I'm trying to eat healthier especially after my doctor recently assigned me a nutritionist so she expects to see results. On that note, Eddie F's New England style onion rings are almost guilt free. Our helpful server, Ashlynn, explained that these onion rings are not heavily breaded and battered like the traditional ones. I stuck some of them in my sandwich along with some coleslaw and went-to-town. I should mention the coleslaw is different, too. I asked,"Is there any mayonnaise ? I don't see or taste any." I say all that because we live in Clifton Park and only just now got to this location for the first time even though we had been relatively regular customers of the former Harbor House. Apparently, 5:30PM on a Monday during Lent is a good time to dine here. We were the only customers when we walked in and only two other parties arrived by the time we left. With that said, service was friendly, prompt, and efficient. There were many different things I wanted to try, so the best option for me was the Captains Basket ($45). Initially, this seemed expensive to me. But when the meal was placed in front of me, two thoughts crossed my mind - am I going to try to eat all this? - and will I enjoy it? The answers were NO and YES, respectively. The Captains Basket contains haddock, scallops, shrimp, and Ipswich whole belly clams. The portions of each were very generous and I was able to include two sides. While I chose to have all my fish fried, I could have mixed and matched additional choices of grilled, blackened, or gluten free fried. The coating on the fried fish is light and not overly salty. All the fish varieties were perfectly cooked. The haddock was flakey, the shrimp had a slight crunch to their bite, the whole belly clams were soft and creamy, and the scallops were tender, sweet, and slightly springy. My side of onion rings were not greasy and very thinly sliced. I generally prefer a thicker sliced onion. The baked beans I ordered mostly for my wife's enjoyment, and while I thought the consistency was more fluid than what I expected, my wife said they reminded her of pork and beans. My wife's choice for dinner was the Fish N Chips ($19) - battered and fried with French fries and slaw. She had two good sized portions of haddock of equal quality to my haddock, and non-greasy fries that were crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, and still tasty when I tried them at room temperature. The slaw was average. A couple of large sodas ($3.50 each) rounded out our meal. Neither of us finished our meal and took some home to enjoy the next day - and we did! The fries were interesting. They were nicely crisp, and they were lightly covered with some kind of coating that was both subtly spicy and subtly sweet. They were certainly fine, but I'll explore other sides on future visits like the cole slaw and the pickled radishes. The price for a combo, $13.99 plus tax and tip extra... well ... since I'm really here for the chicken, maybe next time I'll just order a big batch of wings and do something else instead of (the starchy) sides. It's was quite slow, staff promptly greeted us, and we were able to secure a hibachi table and chef right away. Our hibachi chef was friendly and talented, but we couldn't understand anything he was saying because he had a mask on; hopefully he was well, or being cautious? Our server wasn't much for conversation, she was slow to refill drinks, and we had a mistake with our meal, that seemed like it would have been too much trouble to wave her down and have them fix. Four of us had Hibachi and Nancy ordered two sushi rolls. One of her rolls was a spicy tuna ($7.50) and the other was supposed to be a tempura fried shrimp roll instead of bringing out the tempura roll they brought her a California roll ($6.50). Not the end of the world but something to note. Both rolls were good but I would probably go with an upgraded roll (Chef Special) if I were to return. For some reason I always get The short end of the stick when I eat at a hibachi restaurant. Its like they always give me a ton of rice and give a 1/3 of my meat to everyone else. Same thing happened here. I ordered the steak and shrimp ($28.95) and my buddy next to me got a ton of shrimp and his kids got most of the steak. I think next time I do this I'm going to tell them to cook mine separately in butter so this can't happen again, so annoying. The hibach was good and our experience was overall good. I would come back again but I think I'll come with a better game plan if ordering hibachi.
