The pancake was kind of wet and not crispy enough. The Korean BBQ was decent. The side dishes selection was great. Love their homemade chips fish cakes!

Review of the take out lunches rather than the dine in Korean BBQ experience. I'll have to try the BBQ, seeing as each table has its own barbecue grill. There are three flat screen TVs mounted to one of the walls in the restaurant. Soju is also offered. Drinks can round out your meal. Back to the lunches - protein and rice. I've tried the bulgogi lunch and the tofu over rice. Both have a lot of vegetables stir fried with the main protein. I think there's a bit of sesame oil in these dishes that lends a slightly slick feel and a faintly toasted, slightly bitter taste. To me, that taste is almost synonymous with Korean cuisine. The punch of acid and heat is provided by the side dishes (banchan), free of charge. They complete the meal. The salt, fat, acid, heat (thanks, Samin Nosrat) of the main/side dishes make for intriguing combinations of flavors.

Delicious food and modern atmosphere, I don't want to knock a star, but the service while friendly is a bit slow. It's not the fault of the servers, the company needs to hire more people, the place is currently packed and it's only two dudes zipping around. Maybe it's just coincidence, but every day is someone's first impression of a place. I had delicious fried squid and a cream cheese tteok-bokki. The two dishes pair wonderfully and I'll happily go back for them both. I love their purple rice, and mini-side dishes of broccoli, kimchi and masago. This place is a great Korean restaurant. Just hire more people.

I didn't think I would ever get to say this, but we now have an authentic Korean BBQ joint in the Capital Region! In case it wasn't clear, I'm referring to Seoul Korean BBQ, and I'm honestly still recovering from my recent birthday dinner here. First off, I could never get myself to try Namu, another Korean BBQ joint that previously occupied this space. After poring over available reviews and photos since opening, I decided to take the leap and it paid off. Service was on point - attentive and friendly without intruding. Venue was outstanding - spacious with a sleek industrial decor, and whatever extraction system they have worked so well that for once, I left a KBBQ without smelling like charcoal smoke in a human form. And the food left my jaw hanging long after we left the place - the pork combo came with pork steak, pork belly, spicy pork, and pork galbi, which were all memorable thanks in no small part to the good quality meat. I sense the side dishes were chosen intentionally, and the highlights were the white kimchi (!?!) and potato salad. The steamed egg almost flowing over the hot pot was one of the best we've had, and the tofu soup (spiciness adjusted to "medium") with seafood was as good as, if not better, than specialty restaurants. Parking is no issue thanks to the plaza location. I'm filled with happy thoughts as I'm reliving the glorious meal. My recommendation? Don't think, just go. I can't wait to go back, and I hope they stay open and busy for a very long time.

Came across this place and I'm a new fan. The lunch portion is generous, comes with a salad and 3 sides. Very filling and so much flavor. Service is amazing and a beautiful space. Come give them a try. Cheers.

I really enjoyed the food. I think it's one of the best Korean restaurants I've been to. I enjoyed everything and will come back. I love their Gimbap it was tightly wrapped and held its shape. The Jaeyook Dupbab the L7 for lunch was delicious. I always got to have the corn cheese at Korean restaurants. I can't wait to try more. I didn't picture the Korean bbq part of the menu. That I got to try later for future visits with family.

It's not like a boot camp chow hall but more of a casual BBQ spot where you can spin on a sweet tea and enjoy some ribs. The restaurant is decorated with items from all branches of the military as well as the local police and fire department. It's nice to see there's pride for the Armed Forces as well as the people who serve and protect. I stopped in for lunch. I know I'm going to BBQ the next day so I pass on the brisket and I ordered the grilled shrimp. The counter person tells the the cook one order of Grilled Shrimp and in about a minute I had my plate. I grabbed a sweet tea, sat in a booth and enjoyed my lunch. Mission BBQ? That was a fantastic lunch! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was very tasty. Mike Charlie

Last time I ordered the three meat sampler for $22. There were two small pieces of brisket (each about 2 inches long) two small slices of sausage and a cup size of pulled pork. This price did not include sides. The service is great and the atmosphere is typical of all other Mission BBQ I have been in but this location seems to be more strict on portion control. I see everything being measured on the scale which is not a bad thing, every business needs to make money but in my opinion the price did not justify the meal. Pulled pork was great, brisket was moist and tender and the extra sides I ordered were good so no problem with the food.

Running errands in this area and dropped in to try Memphis King's (1st time visit) I always get the same wings (hot buffalo) at each restaurant/bar to keep things fair. Memphis King's wings are smoked, then fried. I've found that you lose a lot of smoke flavor when they're fried to order but these had just the right amount still present. Very tasty. And crispy! (a lot of smoked wings are grilled but, while delicious, it doesn't render enough of the skin to make them crispy and I like crisp!) I've sampled wings from about 30 places (so far) and I would whole heartedly put Memphis King's in my top 10 for sure. Looking forward to trying their other items because their burnt ends look great. As does the house made pastrami *droooool* As for the people, the gal in front of house was wonderful. And the chef (not sure if he was the owner or not) was so nice. Kept checking in on me to see how everything was and kept offering me suggestions and samples. Not pushy, just smart business because I'm 100% gonna go back.

I think the price is fair, I got the three meat combo for $30. It comes with your choice of two sides. Had to go for the Mac and cheese and baked beans with burnt ends. Didn't expect to love the beans as much as I did but wow! That flavor was incredible! The Mac and cheese was delicious too, had a lovely Cajun spice to it but very mild. Also tried the Texas twinkies which were great. Pictured meats- pork belly, brisket, and pork ribs. So yum! I also love all the sauces you can get. They have so many. I went for tangy mustard, og bbq, and Alabama white sauce. Looking forward to going back to try their specials. Get there early, because once they sell out; that's it!

There are many restaurants in the space, so you can select what you like. It was a beautiful day, so we selected a table outside on the patio. I ordered the One Meat Combo Platter ($20.) with two sides: Burnt Ends of Pork, Potato Salad, and Beans. I almost selected Mac and Cheese as a side. They did not have Cole Slaw. The pork was at least 20% soft fat! I should have known, but I have never ordered ends before today. The Barbeque sauce was very tasty. I should have ordered Pulled Pork or brisket. The potato salad was very good since the mayo was cut with mustard the way I like it to be. The Beans which were flavored with bits of pork tasted good. I took half home. My food was 3-4 stars. Service was efficient. Note from website: Dotty Lou's BBQ provides guests with a unique and delicious dining experience that combines the rich traditions of Texas smoking principles with bold flavors.
