I'm completely disappointed. though the Jalapeño twinkies wrapped in bacon were very good. I ordered through Uber Eats so the packaging was done careless and insensitive. the BBQ juice was all over in the. bottom if the PAPAER BAG. the corn bread was soggy and the top was so hard and overly cooked i had to throw it away. also knowing it's an Uber Eats to go. no napkins in the bag at all ! not even a fork. that was the most inconsiderate thing to do knowing how messy this food is !!! after calling and hanging up because I was on hold for like 5 minutes I hung up and the manager called back. He seemed like he was listening but I'm so irritated about being hungry. The mess it made. And how frustrating it is I don't think anything can compensate this except for simply doing better by people using UberEats and take out for that matter.

Went to Galleria 7 (Rt. 7) food court for lunch with a friend. I selected Dotty Lou's Barbeque Restaurant because I was in the mood for barbeque, and she chose to order at Falafel. There are many restaurants in the space, so you can select what you like. It was a beautiful day, so we selected a table outside on the patio. I ordered the One Meat Combo Platter ($20.) with two sides: Burnt Ends of Pork, Potato Salad, and Beans. I almost selected Mac and Cheese as a side. They did not have Cole Slaw. The pork was at least 20% soft fat! I should have known, but I have never ordered ends before today. The Barbeque sauce was very tasty. I should have ordered Pulled Pork or brisket. The potato salad was very good since the mayo was cut with mustard the way I like it to be. The Beans which were flavored with bits of pork tasted good. I took half home. My food was 3-4 stars. Service was efficient. Note from website: Dotty Lou's BBQ provides guests with a unique and delicious dining experience that combines the rich traditions of Texas smoking principles with bold flavors.

I had a great experience at Dotty Lou's bbq in galleria 7 Latham! The staff were friendly and there was lots of seating. The brisket, and pork belly were so tender. I think the price is fair, I got the three meat combo for $30. It comes with your choice of two sides. Had to go for the Mac and cheese and baked beans with burnt ends. Didn't expect to love the beans as much as I did but wow! That flavor was incredible! The Mac and cheese was delicious too, had a lovely Cajun spice to it but very mild. Also tried the Texas twinkies which were great. Pictured meats- pork belly, brisket, and pork ribs. So yum! I also love all the sauces you can get. They have so many. I went for tangy mustard, og bbq, and Alabama white sauce. Looking forward to going back to try their specials. Get there early, because once they sell out; that's it!

I decided to give Dotty Lou's BBQ a try after seeing such high reviews. In light of that, I ordered the brisket, ribs, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. With that known, the ribs were terrible. To explain, they were hard, dry, and tough to eat. I was extremely disappointed. Likewise, the macaroni and cheese was bland and had no cheese at all. At this point, I was wondering how this place had such high reviews. Well, I figured out why after I tried the brisket. To explain, the brisket was tender and flavorful with just the right amount of fat. It was an excellent brisket and completely saved the meal. In the same vein, the potato salad was good as well. To manifest, the potatoes were fresh and the onion straws added a nice crunch. However, it did have a strong relish flavor to it which was a bit much. In total, Dotty Lou's BBQ is a mediocre restaurant with top tier brisket, but misses the mark in many other places.

Fine, again the price per amount is ridiculous, and very few tomatoes. I'd pass.

First of all, this is expensive BBQ. It makes it tough for me to day I would choose it again bc there are other, closer BBQ spots that are excellent near me that are also a better deal. The standout was the corn dip and the brisket chili. Both were great and I'd get this again just to enjoy those options. We also tried the coleslaw (good but overpriced), potato salad (good but overpriced). The mac & cheese isn't worth it (bad; very bland and didn't even taste cheesy). No one in my family liked the mac and cheese. My husband had the baked beans with burnt ends. He liked them but said another place we go to has better beans (and my note, their container is twice the size). My kid and husband loved the banana pudding. Again, I wouldn't discourage anyone from going (especially if you have more discretionary income), the food is good. We'll probably pick up some favorites from our first try on a very occasional basis. But it's not going to usurp other local spots with great food and better value.

Dark meat chicken, pulled pork, potato salad and cole slaw

I'm pretty sure this is the first review in their new location at Galleria 7. I went there for dinner at 6pm on a Wednesday, and they were already out of several of their meats and sides. After trying some of what was available, I can see why they sell out. If you want to be sure to get what you want, consider going there for lunch. Also be patient, an order will take 10-12 minutes to prepare. From what was available, I selected the pulled pork and the dark meat chicken. Both were delicious, though the pulled pork was my favorite of the two. If you order the dark meat chicken, consider getting a knife from one of the other restaurants, because it is difficult to cut the meat off the bone with the knife you get (unless, of course, you're ok eating it with your fingers). The cole slaw isn't the creamy type, and it has just the right mix of sweet and sour. The potato salad is topped with some fried onion for crunch and texture, to make an already good dish more interesting. My order also included some pickled red onion and jalapeno peppers. Beverages are mostly soda and water out of a small cooler on the right. This is a great addition to Galleria 7, and it's going to be high up on my list of "What do I want to eat here today?"

Absolutely incredible barbecue. I seriously have no words for how good this was. The brisket was phenomenal, full of flavor, and cooked so that it was falling apart soft. The wings - we picked Alabama White Sauce - were quite good as well, crispy, and the sauce was delicious. I love crinkle fries but can never find ones cooked right- apparently the secret is beef tallow! I could have eaten these myself, but shared with the husband. Finally, the banana pudding. Oh my goodness! As good as ones I have had down South. And do you see the portion size? I cannot recommend this place enough. Do yourself a favor and stop by.

We had our 180-person wedding catered by Dotty Lou's BBQ a month ago and we cannot recommend them enough. Joe and his team make absolutely incredible food, were incredibly professional and helpful. They went above and beyond to understand our vision for our reception and ensure that our guests had a fabulous meal. So many of our wedding guests have raved to us about how much they loved the food- many of them saying that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Highly, highly recommend Dotty Lou's for catering your next event and of course for dinner any night of the week.

Food was good the potato salad wasn't my favorite but perhaps if you ty it you might like it.

First visit was amazing! They were sold out of a few things which grew my anticipation to try those things even more. I settled for smoked wings with the sweat heat dry rub AND the Alabama white sauce. Delicious. Second visit....not so great. Got the smoked wings again because why not?! The ranch is house made but it was off-putting this time around and super thick like blue cheese. They were out of the smoked fried chicken sandwich but were preparing to prep more for the evening service. So they offered it us if we were willing to wait. Got it and it looked amazing! But it did not eat well. I hate to fight with any food and this was certainly a fight. First the breading fell completely off the chicken. It was 2 big pickles on the bottom of each half of the sandwich so the entire bottom was soggy. 4 pickles on the bottom of a fried sandwich is overkill. I'd also like to think that it should've sat in the fridge to set a bit more so that lovely breading would stay on, but hey! I just tossed the entire thing! Just not a fan of a messy meal especially when it's not functional. As a fellow culinarian, I wanted to share my critiques, but I didn't wanna be a fuss. Otherwise I love the crew at Dotty Lou's and their work! This Memphis girl is gonna try the bbq spot every time. The absolute best thing this visit were the fresh, hot and perfectly crunch crinkly fries. Anywho get to the food hall at Galleria 7, you'll be glad you did!

    Trinity Platter

Trinity Platter was enough to feed two adults. Meat was tender and the staff was friendly. I do wish they had more sauce flavors though.

Recently went to Galleria 7 and was told I HAD to try Dotty Lou's, so to Dotty Lou's I went. The menu was pretty expansive which was impressive to me since it was within the food gallery setup. The prices were a bit steep compared to some other BBQ options in the area but I went with the meat combo anyways in hopes it would live up to the hype. I got the prime brisket as my meat (shoutout to the kind worker who gave me his favorite recs),and macaroni and cornbread as my side. All in all the food was yummy. The macaroni was creamy and flavorful, the meat was scrum, and the cornbread was just as good. The meat is served on texas toast with pickles and pickles onions on the side which is nice. My friend loveeeed the cornbread and said that was what took the cake for her (pun intended tehe). I think the mac and cheese was my favorite, but I'm always biased towards a yummy mac. My friend also got the one meat combo, both of us got a drink as well and it totaled out to $50 which I think is pretty steep. We did get a pretty good portion of food but maybe that's just me knowing there are alternatives that tasted just as good for less. My only other complaints is that the food came out a bit cold, which was odd since we didn't wait long for it and ate it there. I think I would happily give it a 4/5 if I got to experience it warmer, for now it gets a low 4 (7/10) for me.

Yes, the food was delicious and plentiful, but connecting with Yelpers was one of the biggest highlights of that event. So, I know it's taken us long enough to come back but it was truly better late than never because they did not disappoint. It was within an hour of closing but the place was buzzing both with folks dining in and a constant stream of orders from online and in store. We settled on their brisket sando and three sides - pit beans, mac & cheese, potato salad. The brisket was tender and juicy, potato salad wholesome and egg-y, pit beans sweet and spicy, and m&c mac & cheesy. While they don't have French fries, they have homemade kettle chips which I'm generally not enthused about but the ones here had a softer finish and I rather enjoyed them. Oh, and an honourable mention is due to the comfy chairs which are extremely hard to come by in restaurants. One minor (but non-negligible) gripe was the rather long wait before we could place our orders because the staff right in front of us insisted on packing a big online order AND serving the folks picking them up drinks before we could put our orders in. I personally would have taken the order of someone in line especially since there was no one behind us, so that the kitchen staff can start filling our orders while the staff at the register can return to finishing packing the pickup order. We'll go back. It's cool to see a local family business going strong after two years, and I feel like whoever is behind the venture managed to create something extra ordinary.

My wife brought me here as a surprise night out, and we had a good time…read more The Good: - very tasty barbecue that they cook/smoke/roast on site. I had the brisket, the pulled pork, the baked beans, and the mac & cheese. The brisket was perfect and served with sauce on the side. Lots of great spices, tons of flavorful smoke, not too mushy, not too fatty. - The beans were phenomenal with tons of flavorful pork bits inside. I wish I could make them that good at home, but I don't access to the BBQ scraps that they have. The mac and cheese was dense and creamy, and the pasta was not at all overcooked. I really appreciated this. The Bad: - seating is limited, and it is quite likely during a busy time you will get your food before a table is open. Why do they limit the number of tables they have when there is space for more? That doesn't make sense. - the pulled pork was just meh. It tasted flat, the texture was pure mush, and the color was a bit odd. Frankly, I make it better at home. This reminded me of crockpot pulled pork with a bit more smoke flavor. It too was served sauce on the side. - when our food was served it was covered with complimentary red pickled onions. Yuck! Apparently they sometimes ask in advance but they might forget when busy. Thankfully, since they didn't ask and made the wrong assumption they were willing to remake my plate without onions. - no cheap drinks. No cheap anything really. Imported soda, exotic Fiji brand water, etc. Their prices are very high for some things. They make great food, but you might get hit with $25/person or more before the smoke settles. Was it worth it? For some stuff yes, and for other things no. We had a good time, and I know better what to focus my order on in the future. But to go at dinner time when there might not be a table to enjoy your food is a real bummer.
