Luckily for the folks opening Classic Crust at the prior location of the old Jonesville Store during the "pause" for the coronavirus pandemic, they have their mobile pizza oven to park in the lot of their future bricks and mortar location. And while renovations are proceeding inside the building, we the customers still have the ability to enjoy some very good woodfired pizza. From their menu of over a dozen specialty 12 inch pizzas we decided to try a Sausage, Peppers & Onions ($13) and a Fuji Apple & Brie with honey butter thyme drizzle ($16). We figured the SP&O would allow a fair comparison to more typical pizzas while the FA&B would show their ability to improvise. The dough is good quality, tasty and has a nice chew. I might consider requesting future pizzas to be left in the oven just a little longer to get more char and blistering, but that's a very minor point. The sausage has a nice flavor and the peppers and onions are grilled/sautéed for a nice effect. The only downside for me on this pizza was that the peppers had an off flavor of being cooked over gas. The honey butter thyme drizzle obviously adds an additional sweetness to the thin sliced Fujis and it might be considered by some to be a dessert pizza. But the balance of sweetness is just right in my opinion and the drizzle creates a nice glaze as the pizza cools. I'm truly looking forward to when the "pause" will end and Classic Crust will be able to allow customers inside their non-mobile location. read more

My Dad doesn't use Yelp, so I have offered to post this for him. This restaurant charged him $2 for ice. See the second line item, 'Rocks'. They refused to remove it, citing the fact that he didn't get a mixer with his vodka, so they needed to charge something. Huh?? He said the pizza was good. read more

The brick and mortar location is very nice inside, people are nice, polite and for the most part attentive. Only two people in the place so I would have thought the service would be impeccable but it was good. First my wife ordered a beer (ipa) and I ordered an ice tea, ipa was expensive and the ice tea was not fresh brewed but out of a soda gun, very disappointing! We ordered the meat lovers pizza well done, the bottom was not, it was ok, not great, not good just ok! My wife and I were so looking forward to the opening in Jonesville location, The herb bread was good and portion was very good. Overall I can see the food truck charging for the experience but a small size pizza and a beer for 25.00 is just a little pricey. Sorry we wanted it to be good so bad! We were looking forward to this pizza place for the wood fired feature. We ordered the mushroom and sausage n pepper. First of all the crust was thick, doughy and chewy not at all wood fired texture. Stingy on the mushrooms and splash of arugula. Taste was ok. Sausage n pepper, meh... no big deal, crust the same.(Maybe they were really busy)? Want really good wood fired pizza? Try Harvest n Hearth. We will try classic crust again... hopefully it will be better.. or just might ask for a crispy crust! read more

I am flabbergasted about how terribly my fiance and I were handled by this company. We read great reviews so we figured they'd be a perfect addition to our wedding day. Julie, one of the owners, started out extremely friendly and responsive, making all of my wedding day planning stress melt away. Planning a wedding is hard, but planning one on top of a global pandemic and a financial crisis is even harder, but we saved our money and were gifted some from our parents in order to make our dream wedding day possible. It had to be pizza! That was our first date, so it was significant. Wood fired pizza, in a truck, all you can eat, brought right to your door with no clean up on our end?! Yes, please. Everything seemed perfect. She sent paperwork and we immediately filled it out and sent it back. Communication became fewer and further between, but we remained patient; life happens. She then asked us for a deposit check, but we didn't even know the final price yet and hadn't received a formal contract with both of our signatures on it. We didn't feel comfortable sending money out to someone without any guarantee of the service, that's just not how business is done. We asked her to send a signed copy with both of our signatures on it, a simple request, but she then asked us, again, for the same information that had been provided on the paperwork that we had just sent her. I obliged and sent it to her once more, confused, but I sent it without any resistance. She told me that she would send one over as soon as possible and that was that. A week went by without any notice, so I waited. Almost two weeks went by, so I sent a friendly email to follow up and no response. I waited again and sent another email and she replied, with apologies, said she was on vacation and that she promised (PROMISED) to send it the following Tuesday. I was pleased with that response, so I waited patiently for Tuesday, but she never sent anything. The next afternoon, I sent another friendly email reminding her about the contract that we were waiting for. We had the check all ready in an envelope to send to her as soon as we received it. Again, no response. My fiance decided to call and find her. He leaves a detailed message and waits. Several hours go by, so he calls again when they are open and is told that she is busy; he requests that she contact us as soon as possible. I then receive an email that says, "I'm just back from vacation and trying to catch up on a million and two emails. I promosie you you are on the calendar I'll get it over to you in the morning My apologies Most clients sign and send a check and then I sign and send it back but I'll get one printed out and over to you ASAP". It took several patient emails and phone calls to even get a response from her. It took my fiance telling her that we were looking elsewhere for the same service to get a response from her. Thankfully, we contacted Pies on Wheels in Glens Falls, NY instead and they were happy to cater our wedding. Not only are they less expensive, but they were quick to respond and sent us the information that we needed to get everything settled; even a contract to guarantee their services. I understand that things happen and people get busy, but the complete lack of professionalism, organization, and timeliness of Julie's responses from Classic Crust Pizza Truck put a bad taste in our mouths. If it were that hard to get a simple piece of paper from her, how trustworthy could she be on the day of our wedding? Would we have even had food that day? read more

The pizza is meh. Soggy in the middle and the crust is overcooked (burnt half the time). In addition, they don't enforce mask wearing by customers or employees. If they don't care about that, what else do they ignore when preparing other's food. I'm not taking anymore chances. read more

This is by far the best wood burning pizza a have ever tasted. They just opened (3rd week) and I have gone twice. Unfortunately, due to the Covid19 restrictions seating is limited. Beer is super cold and the appetizers were awesome. read more

I did not even get to the point of trying the pizza. The customer service and limited interaction with the owner Julie was abysmal. If you have to email several times and call half a dozen to even get a one line response, you know the rest of the experience will not go well. We have ordered many pizzas from Classic Crust. Having been to Italy numerous times, we love a thin-crust, wood-fired individual pizza with super-fresh ingredients. These are divine. OMG. Worth every penny. By far the best party I ever hosted. The food was fabulous !! We come from a long line of Italians and pizza is a big deal. Classic Crust hit a home run. The ingredients were fresh and amazing, the crust phenomenal, and the staff was first class all the way. We wanted something different for my daughters first communion and Classic Crust delivered ! They truly made this day memorable. Friendly and very accommodating to friends that had Gluten and dairy allergies.
