I decided to give Signal 30 a try after hearing many great things about it. Taking this account, I ordered ribs and brisket with fried pickles and the results were satisfying. To explain, the ribs were excellent. They were tender, flavorful, and had a ton of meat on the bones. In similar fashion, the brisket was pretty tasty. To breakdown, the brisket had nice flavor with a good amount of fat around the edges. However, the middle of the brisket was a bit overcooked. It was still enjoyable though. After that, I tried the fried pickles which were delicious. The pickles were crispy with a savory and salty taste. These were simply great fried pickles. The original owners ran a "Cheers" like atmosphere where everyone was familiar and you were "always glad to see them " Only the names and faces have changed a bit but the hometown pub atmosphere is still pretty much the same. Went here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and was greeted immediately by the bartender, who was also the waitress. We ordered two beers, including Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, which she said comes with or without maraschino cherries. Of course I had to try it with cherries and it was great! For lunch, my boyfriend and I ordered the Cheesesteak with peppers and Chipotle mayo. You can customize it to your liking by choosing two toppings and a sauce on it, which was awesome. We ordered the Herules platter which was a sampling of ribs, pulled pork and brisket with Mac and cheese and cole slaw. Also ordered: Nachos, and Jerk Chicken tacos. I ordered a combo platter of Ribs & Brisket with two sides. (Mac & Chs & garlic mashed) OMG! I got home and it was Delicious! Melt in your mouth. I got a sampler of sauces & all were terrific! We were so excited to support a local business owned by our towns firefighter. Signal 30 has a delicious and affordable bbq menu. No tri tip but the brisket was on point and the pulled pork was great too! You know it's quality when the meats are delicious without any sauce, all very flavorful. They gave us all of the sauces to try and all were unique and paired well. They were out of ribs which was one of the items we wanted to try. Wait time for our meal was close to an hour for takeout. The Hercules combo plate was more than enough for my hubs and I to split w leftovers. Diners were inside and outside of the small restaurant. Onion rings were thick crispy and plenty for $3! They have a seasonal ice cream menu and I had to go w the macho man candy savage LOL w vanilla ice cream which was smooth and yummy. Best BBQ I've probably ever had. Brisket and pulled pork were out of this world. Mac and cheese as a side could've been a meal on it's own. It was also arguably as good or better as mac and cheese entrees at nearby Druthers and Tipsy Moose. The sauce selection really was the icing on the cake. They gave us a sample of everything, all delicious. I've never seen Alabama white sauce around here but they have it and it was excellent. We asked to take a couple sauces home as we had a generous portion of leftovers and they gave us a couple containers on the house. Owned by a professional firefighter.
