It was my anniversary so I decided to get Mick's for my fiancé as Mick's has been his favorite place since he was old enough to know what pizza was. Good place for pizza! I was stopping at Mick's Pizza for pizzas many years ago when it was on 5th Ave in North Troy, where my buddy used to live. Fast forward, Mick's Pizza is located on Ontario Street in Cohoes, which is located near several other pizza places in the city. The place is very small with limited seating inside and parking in front, geared towards pickup and delivery. Mick's Pizza makes a very good pie. The crust is firm on the outside and soft and chewy inside. The pizza sauce is zesty with the right amount of cheese and toppings. I've ordered Eggplant pizza and Ricotta Cheese pizza (tastes like a cheese lasagna) here, both were very good! The service is efficient and prompt. read more

Mick's Pizza is by far out of this world it's so flavorful and cooked with love and you can taste it. As a true New Yorker I know pizza and this is a pizza joint you can say could defeat a pizza place in Little Italy hands down. The cheese pizza is nicely cheesed up the sauce is robust and the crust OMG it's soooo good with a hint of garlic and so perfectly crisp. This is by far the best pizza in the Cohoes/ Latham / Watervliet area. The crust is not too thick and not too thin, with the perfect crunch outside and chewy inside. Mick's also seasons the dough, which makes all the difference in the taste, and is pretty uncommon particularly among the larger chain pizza places. Mick's has nearly 30 toppings to choose from, in addition to a great variety of specialty pizzas, subs, salads and sides. Their wings are also very good. Although they don't have an exceptional variety of flavors, the wings are generously sized, nicely cooked and tasty. The only negatives: some of the staff is without much personality and enthusiasm. The venue itself is also lacking in terms of space and atmosphere, so I recommend you get your food to go or have it delivered. Normally the quality of service and ambiance of a place factor more heavily into my rating... but with pizza this good, who cares? read more

While I do consider this pizza place the best in Cohoes, it's very frustrating that they close at 9pm everyday. They open at 3pm...to 8. Even on weekends. I've gotten food from Mick's several times and it's really good.. They have these garlic stix that are delicious and huge, they are a must when I order from there. The pizza and wings are good too but ask for extra sauce because sometimes the wings are a little dry. Their Philly cheesesteaks are delicious too, and the meat is seasoned perfectly! I work at a pizza place that runs non-stop commercials on ever channel possible every day of the week. With that said, i can't remember the last time i've had a slice of our own product due to it being tasteless and having a crust that makes you think you're chewing on your jeans due to it's texture and no taste. I'm not a big toppings man, so plain cheese is usually my choice. Mick's is the perfect spot when it comes to that. Sauce is good and the pizza has a nice garlic taste to it. The wings aren't the sexiest i've seen, but the hot sauce they use leaves you craving another round in the near future. My mouth is watering just writing this review lol. After moving to Cohoes I was told Mick's was the best thing there and I had to try it. I don't know why I waited so long. I wasn't in the mood for regular pizza and they have a variety of specialty pies so I tried the Shrimp Scampi pizza. The white pizza is very good complete with a garlic seasoned crust but the shrimp were really tiny. Not that I expected anything a whole lot bigger because its just a pizza topping. No one else was interested in it so I just got a small for myself. It only takes about 2 slices to fill you up so I had plenty left over. This is the only reason I wouldn't try the Shrimp Scampi pizza again. I have to be in a certain mood to be craving it and shrimp isn't quite as good reheated. The wings were also surprisingly tasty. I ordered medium for myself which weren't hot but had great flavor instead. But I found myself getting addicted to the honey bbq wings my gf ordered. I thought the prices were very reasonable also. I used to be obsessed with Mick's, and if I am craving some greasy fattening food, I still order from here. BUT, every time I do, I regret it the next day. The pizza tastes so good while you're eating it, but it is so incredibly salty. I am not kidding when I say that I wake up in the middle of the night and guzzle water and feel so bloated because of it. If you can deal with that, I do enjoy their options. They really get the sauce right and know how to make a well done pie if you ask for it. Their salads are good too. They're large and filled with fresh ingredients. The subs are fantastic as well. I think it would make it loads better if they just fresh garlic it up in their butter and spread it on the crust. If you're in the area and deliver to your home, I'm jealous. I wish I could do that. It's thursday night 9/15/16. Ordered a medium pizza half FRESH GARLIC and half pepperoni and boneless garlic/parm chicken wings. This is not the first time we ate here. I took my first bite of pizza my half FRESH GARLIC and I said hmmm taste vinegar. Took another bite same thing. I looked at the garlic and it looked like the minced garlic you buy in the stores. I called micks and politely asked what they used for garlic, they said they put the garlic in a jar with oil after I asked if they used the minced garlic in the jar. To me this is not FRESH GARLIC and it changes the flavor completely what you're putting it on. So needless to say I didn't like it. So I'm writing this for those people who like FRESH GARLIC. I think they should at least tell you what they are using because it does make a difference in flavor. read more
