I met a friend for dinner at D'Raymonds and my dinner was incredible- I had the Bistecca Al Forno: tender slices of charbroiled sirloin topped with their signature forno sauce (a bold, savory mix of tomatoes, hot cherry peppers, basil, garlic, oil, and Chianti wine) and finished under the broiler with bubbling mozzarella cheese. I paired it with creamy, pepper-flecked Alfredo on the side and ate yes I ate my entire dinner it was SO good. It is hard to get in here but worth the wait!

My mouth dropped when I saw the rating that D'Raymond's has on Yelp! This is one of my top two favorite Italian spots in the area. I love it so much that I asked my family to take me there for my birthday, and my boyfriend took me here when I got laid off to cheer me up! :) I have never been disappointed by D'Raymond's--ever. Their portions are huge, I always look forward to the complimentary fried dough buns because they're so good, the bread is fresh, and the food is mouthwatering. Their menu is diverse and has something for everyone--fish lovers, veal enthusiasts, and pasta fans. Some of my favorite appetizers are the antipasti, their massive mozzarella caruso (so cheesy and delicious!), and their Sicilian meatballs. This time, for my birthday, I had the manicotti--crepe-style pasta filled with ricotta cheese and fresh spinach, with the option of sausage, homemade meatballs, or both. And you bet I tried both. I definitely enjoyed the meatballs more! But I think my favorite entrée so far has been the Lobster Ravioli--the filling is insanely good, they definitely don't skimp on the lobster, and it's super filling. For dessert, my favorite so far is the chocolate toll house cake--it just hits different! But I've also had their cannoli, lava cake, and turtle cheesecake--all amazing. The staff at D'Raymond's are always so sweet and patient. D'Raymond's, you'll always be a favorite!

Everything was absolutely incredible, but the stuffed rigatoni (Thursday special) stole the show! Eric's service was absolutely fantastic and the food/experience was certainly worth the wait!! We will be coming back soon!

It had been several years since we dined at my wife's favorite Italian restaurant for sauce, D'Raymonds. It always seemed like a hassle to get someone to answer the phone to make a reservation. And of course, it was always necessary to make plans well in advance to assure the availability of a table on the day and time of your choosing. We are more last-minute decision makers than advance planners, so we frequently are disappointed at the unavailability of a reservation. We decided to try something different this time. Take-out! We called on a Saturday about an hour after they opened, did not have to wait too long for the phone to be answered, and were asked to hold while a server was summoned to take our order. We were able to specify a pickup time of 5 pm without any problem. There is a separate door on the side of the building for retrieving takeout orders. It opens directly into the back dining room. Our order was actually all packed and sitting on a counter waiting for pickup, but I was not aware that it was for us. A server asked if I was picking up an order, and when I replied in the affirmative, they said they would alert the server who took our order over the phone. From that point everything was normal. I paid for our food and was on my way home. Our dinners were excellent - Scaloppe Di Vitello Alla D'Raymonds ($28), and Scaloppe Alla Francesa ($28). The veal D'Raymonds was tender veal sauteed in olive oil and garlic with tomatoes, mushrooms and sweet peppers, with hot Italian sausage and herbs. Delicious! The sausage was very tasty too. The veal Francesa had veal dipped in seasoned egg batter with lemon, sauteed and served on a bed of sauteed escarole. Delicious also! Did I forget to mention that our meals included sides of spaghetti, Italian bread, and butter? There was plenty of good food to enjoy a second day.

Capellini con spinach, mussels and shimp

My bestie and I decided to go for Italian on this rainy day to D'Raymonds. We didn't make reservations and were very lucky to get a table due to the place was packed. I felt like I was in little Italy; people laughing and talking reminded me of family dinners. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We received 2 rolls that were very soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. Next was the leafy greens salad. Very tasty with Black Olive Feta Vinaigrette dressing, homemade croutons and marinaded tomatoes and red peppers. Our meals came they both were hot off the grill! My meal was Capellini Pomodoro Grande Shrimp, mussels and spinach served in a plum tomato white wine clam sauce over capellini pasta. This was to die for! They asked if you want fresh grated parmesan cheese that she graded before I could snap the photo. Oh well ‍ Definitely coming back!

Shown to our table and met with hugs by our usual server, Sienna, and the man about the dining room, Ogre. For nearly 4 hours we laughed, told stories and celebrated in the atmosphere of home that is created by owner Armond and his staff. The food is second to none. But it is truly surpassed by the service and feeling of home that is Grappa. Sienna and Ogre met our every need. No they anticipated any need we might have had and delivered like the experts they truly are. Additionally, Malina, another fabulous server made sure to drop by our table to offer her congratulations like any family member would. Grappa is a true gem. It is not going out to eat. It is not dining. It is truly an experience that is difficult to explain! You have to be a part of it to really understand what this place is all about. Call now! She had lots of recommendations for what drinks and dishes to order, and she was really attentive towards our party. When we sat at our table, we helped ourselves to the fresh table bread and tapenade while we decided what to order. I decided to get the seafood special, which was a grilled branzino served with blistered green beans and wild rice. While the dish tasted a bit too oily for my liking, there was LOTS of food that came with this dish - enough for me to pack as a lunch the next day! What was also memorable about this experience was the live music playing at front. This is a very nice Italian resto for special occasions and date nights.

The cuisine was Italian inspired, and heavy on vegan and gluten free option, which is a great find locally, if you're looking for that. We were sat upstairs and I enjoy the ambiance here. I will note that the chairs are uncomfortable, which does not make a cozy dining experience. The cocktail menu was really great, a lot of gin options which is right up my alley. I had the Corpse Reviver and a glass of wine, both were great. We started with the shrimp balls, which sounded intriguing. They ended up being delightful, almost like loose crab cakes. The flavors were great and I loved the pesto. For my entree, I opted for the lemon mushroom tagliatelle. The pasta was very fresh and chewy, loved that. I enjoyed the combination of lemon and mushroom on the dish, but there were so many different mushrooms of all different textures, that some bites were more enjoyable than others. The snapper puttanesca was gorgeous as well. Overall it was a good meal, but I might have liked it a little more before the change. Definitely a great option if you are looking for dietary restrictions.

I arrived for my reservation as my partner was parking and sat for 10+ minutes before someone even acknowledged I was there and offered water. When they came in, a waitress came over and apologized for not offering me water while I waited. Fine. We went to order dinner and it took 25 minutes for THE WORST gnocchi and tagliatelle to arrive. The gnocchi was supposed to be cacio pepe and it would've better served as wallpaper paste. The tagliatelle had zero taste or flavor and the noodles were raw. Both came out cold. The only saving grace was we didn't have to pay for the monstrosity of a meal and we will never have to go back.

We went to Delmonico's Italian Steakhouse last weekend with a party of 10. Our group meets up once a month and tries a new place each time. I had been here once before over the summer and had a great experience then. That time we were seated in one of the alcove style rooms. It is not fully private but it definitely feels like your own space, and it added a lot to the atmosphere. The food and service were excellent on that visit, and the birthday person in our group loved the theming of the room. This time we were supposed to be seated in the Sinatra room. After our reservation time passed, the hostess came over and explained they had made a mistake with the room booking and it was not available. They moved us to a large table in the main dining area and offered us four appetizers on the house to make up for it. That immediately smoothed things over, and no one in our group had any issues after that. Mistakes happen, it is how a place handles them that matters, and they handled this very well. The main dining area has a nice ambience, but it is a bit noisy compared to the alcove spaces. Food wise, we had a wide range, steaks, chicken, veal, and some gluten free options. Most of the group had alcoholic drinks, while a few of us stuck with soda and water. One friend said the cola he got at the bar while we waited was flat and he skipped it after that. I tried a soda at the table and mine was fine. He later had a lemon lime soda, not sure if it was 7Up or Starry, and had no complaints, so it is possible they changed out the CO2 in between. Service really stood out. It is not easy to manage a table of 10, but our waitress was outstanding and very friendly. We were served in a timely manner, and several people commented on both the portion sizes and the quality of the meals. A few in our group even said they felt the pricing was a bargain for what you get. Overall, we will definitely be back. Scheduling errors and things out of the staff's control happen anywhere, but many places either do not apologize or do nothing to fix it. Here, they did both, and their solution was more than generous. Kudos to them. 4 stars.

Then the food... 2 of us ordered filet mignon it came out burnt and over done it looked like a burnt hamburger very thin (not the way a medium and medium rare filet should be obviously) Who let that even leave the kitchen! The waitress noticed right away and sent them back - manager came over and said oh sorry it depends on who's in the kitchen - what? Wow blew our minds -- ok so the next one came out still black but cooked a bit better - no filet should be black they apparently smooched it on a grill ugh!
