Amazing place!! My gf and I were in town for a conference and wanted Greek food for dinner. Everything was delicious. Our server was kind, informative and attentive. The decorations were tasteful and authentic. I will come back if I am in the area!

Absolutely wonderful experience! Impeccable service, elegant and charming ambiance, and the food was perfectly delicious with appropriate portions. Chef's kiss! Nice selection of adult drinks/beverages. The Mezze platter appetizer was a great way to start off and try five of their Greek spreads with pita; They were all very tasty, with the highlights for me being the Tzatziki and the Tirokafteri. Do not skip out on the Lamb Chop Lollipops appetizer, which was flavorful and grilled to perfection. As if the entire experience wasn't already more than enough, I would come back for those alone. THE BEST sear on the salmon with the Salmon Scaloppini entree. The sauce, salad and mashed potatoes paired perfectly. With the Lamb Souvlaki entree came the most tender, succulent lamb and I don't know how they made rice taste SO good. For dessert the Greek Baklava was the best I have ever had with well blended textures and flavors. Truly the cherry on top of an excellent dining experience!

My family and I came here for Thanksgiving and the place was very popular! I recommend making a reservation because we also waited a while even with one. We really enjoyed our cocktails, I definitely recommend the Athos Bee's Knees and the meal was delicious as well. The chicken was very tender and I loved all the dips that came with the platter. The baklava and rice pudding were also really good so I feel like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Our waiter was also very nice as well.

We were in town for a day and chanced upon this restaurant as we were in mood for Greek food. This restaurant did not disappoint. The place was quite busy on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 6pm and were promptly seated. Nice ambiance I had the whole grilled Branzino and my husband had the Greek salad with falafel. It was decent. The dessert was a little disappointing. I had the tres leches but i have had better. I love tres leches in general but this one wasn't for me. The cake was too grainy/gritty.... More like corn bread with gritty texture. I should have tried the baklava may br

I still can differentiate between Greek, Turkish, Moroccan or Middle Eastern cuisine. Let's just stick to the Mediterranean for now. Around a week or 2 ago, I was in NYC and tried out a Mediterranean Michelin Guide restaurant. Did I have to travel that far just to go eat.....guess what, absolutely!!! However, we still need to explore our own backyard. You just happen to find a restaurant in Albany, voted one of top 50 Greek restaurants in USA. How did I miss that!! Well, I found it now and experienced some delicious food. We tried a variety of meats.....lamb, seafood, chicken and vegetarian/GF, all of which were flavorful and cooked to perfection. The crowd was diverse. The restaurant has a modern vibe. It also has a wine cellar in the basement and you have a cool glass floor that you can look down on. I would definitely recommend that you visit this restaurant and don't forget the desserts and coffee.

Just coming back from my vacation in Greece and craving Greek food, my husband and I visited Athos. Athos is a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. We had the mezze platter which had hummus, tzatziki, ezme, babaganoush, and tirokafteri dips. Though the tirokafteri was a little salty, it was very good. I liked the hummus and tzatziki the best. It came with a bowl of pita bread and we ordered an extra plate of pita. We weren't too hungry so we shared an entree. We had the Athos Bronzino Filet and this dish was very filling. It had 2 pan-seared Mediterranean sea bass filets, house salad & mashed potato. This dish was delicious! The Bronzino was very fresh and smooth. The salad and mashed potato were great sides. The menu offers many typical Greek dishes. Service was wonderful and the restaurant is huge. There is a private room upstairs. There are plenty of booths and tables. Plenty of parking spots too.

Disappointing. Inferior ingredients, given the price point. Tiniest portion of fish entree. One beverage and one food item not fresh. Dusty window blinds and flies attacking me and my table. Lemon potatoes that were not as delicious as those in other Greek restaurants. When i ordered WHOLE bronzino, i expected my fish to be cooked WHOLE, then fileted, as in fine Greek restaurants. Decor and service are excellent.

Lamb souvlaki - The image shows a white plate with a serving of rice, a fresh green salad with leafy greens and tomato, and beef wrapped with bacon and green peppers. The plate is set on a white tablecloth with glasses of water and other tableware visible in the background. The food presentation is simple and typical of a restaurant meal.

Lamb souvlaki was super tender, very juice. Went with the grilled Octopus and Calamari for apps, Octopus was not tough at all, nice char and flavor, Calamari has a different seasoning on it, was very good, different flavors than Italian.

Galaktobouriko - A rectangular white plate contains a cooked meat portion with a brown sauce, accompanied by slices of bread topped with whipped cream. The plate is placed on a table with other dishes and utensils partially visible around it.

Athos was an amazing spot for valentine's day dinner! They offered a regular menu and a prefixe, but we went for the regular. With your reservation they also gave you a rose. The ambience inside was great, very romantic and felt very elevated. My favorite feature is the window on the floor into the wine cellar. They start you off with (free) pita, which tastes like a warm hug. It is sooooo good. I got the cold appetizer - tirokafteri. It didn't have the kick I was hoping for, but it was still a great addition with the pita. I ordered a blueberry cocktail which came out in a teacup. It tasted great and I felt elegant using their decorative teacup, but I didn't feel the alcohol at all which is unusual for me. Now onto our meal - my partner got the Athos Bronzino Filet. I'm not much of a fish girly, so my impression was that it tastes like chicken cutlets. My partner thought it was really really good fish though, and his only note is that it was ever so slightly too oily. It came with mashed potatoes that were a little dry. I got the Lamb Youvetsi, which was great. I'm not a huge lamb person, so the pieces by the bone were a little too strong in flavor for me. Luckily, I was going to bring it home anyways because I had filled up on pita. The orzo/sauce complimented the lamb well. For dessert, I got the Galaktobouriko. I'm not super familiar with greek food or desserts so this was a toss up, but my god it was delicious. It came out HOT which has its pros and cons. I didn't have it in me to wait till it was a normal temperature to enjoy. food was delicious and the ambiance was great. to start, we had the tirokafteri (which looks like scrambled eggs) with so much gorgeous warm pita. i had the lamb youvetsi which was suuper tender and this random guy had the athos bronzino filet. the filet received rave reviews, but it was only just too oily to be a 10/10. Athos is definitely a place you should keep in mind for a special occasion, or a normal occasion with a special person.

Half Chicken - A meal plate includes grilled chicken pieces, a portion of rice, a fresh salad with lettuce, tomatoes, and greens, and a small bowl of yogurt or tzatziki sauce. The dish is served on a white plate with a table setting that includes glasses and utensils, indicating a dining experience at a Greek restaurant.

Service was wonderful!! Thankful that they were open on thanksgiving. Had a great time. Restaurant was clean, open, and not too loud. It was pretty bright in there. They have physical menus. Would go back!

Went during lunchtime and it wasn't busy. The food was pretty good, and the service was excellent. Could use some music or something but I'd definitely like to return at night. Looks like it'll have a great ambiance.

Not sure about fish prepared tableside, but with the pandemic I wouldn't be surprised if that option was removed from the menu. I recommend you call to inquire.

And now that I have, it's actually a bit of a problem -- because whenever I travel and order falafel somewhere else, it almost always ends in disappointment. Mamoun's completely changed my opinion. The color, the texture, the seasoning, and that perfectly crispy bite in every mouthful -- whatever their secret is, this is the falafel that made me love falafel. The place feels much more modern and inviting now. Our family especially enjoys the beyti kebab, the güveç, and their pide. I haven't tried the pizza yet, but since their pide is very good, I imagine the pizza would also be solid. For me though, the real highlight at Alibaba is the mezze. In Turkish cuisine, grilled meats and kebabs are almost always enjoyed with a variety of mezze. They might technically be sides, but they're a big part of the whole experience. These days there are several Turkish kebab places in the area, but none of them offer a wide selection of fresh, house-made mezze like Alibaba does. At many places you're lucky if you find one or two options, often just a basic ezme. At Alibaba you'll find around ten different mezze and each one tastes distinct and freshly made. Every time I tell myself I'll just take a little... and somehow I end up filling a big mezze plate. Honestly, even when we grill at home, our motivation is picking up mezze from Alibaba to go with it. I'm not sure if it gets the credit it deserves, but don't skip the mezze here -- you'd be missing out. In fact, start with the mezze and figure out the rest later :))
