Let me start with that fact that we are from Brooklyn and Queens. Pizza is a sacred thing to us. We are pizza snobs. This is excellent pizza even by NYC standards. We love Joes, this is that good. They roll with whatever we order. Great service, nice people. They have normal sized slices that can be folded. Check that box. Thin crisp crust with the right amount of chew. Sauce that tastes like Nona made it, not from a can, or ketchup bottle like some of the bad pizza we've experienced. The cheese is fresh and better quality too. Their eggplant pizza is killer. Their wings and salads are also very good. They have door dash and we order weekly all the way to Waterford and Latham.. This is phenomenal pizza and the best you are going to get anywhere in the CR. I stopped in for lunch at Pistana Brothers Pizza which was formerly SaraBella Pizza located next to Stewart's and Junior's Bar & Grill. One of the owners worked for SaraBella making pizzas and decided to launch Pistana Brothers with his brother in North Greenbush. I ordered the $5 deal, which includes 2 slices of cheese pizza and can of soda (choice of Pepsi products) or bottled water. The cheese pizza slices were heated up in the smaller oven near the counter and served. I had my lunch inside the dining area, which has several tables, movie posters on the walls and 2 big flatscreen TVs on the walls. The good sized pizza slices had the right amount of tomato sauce and melted cheese (and not at all greasy), which tasted pretty good. The thin crust was decent, very firm on the outside and dry soft texture inside, similar to what I've had at SaraBella. Overall the cheese pizza slices were good (not greasy) with a cold can of Schweppes Ginger Ale, priced reasonably at $5 plus tax ($5.40). The service was very friendly and prompt. 3.6/5.0 read more

I have been a customer of Pistana brothers when they were still Sarabella. Then Mike & Al took over. Mike has always been amazing. Super personable, friendly and thats what has kept me coming back. The pizza is good, not the best but prices are fair and calling to hear "Hi Miss Day!" From Jess or Mike really drove home my loyalty. In November I contacted them by email and phone. I was having a large party for 35+ kids in Albany. I could have and should have went somewhere closer to my venue. But I knew I would be spending $250+ and wanted to give Pistana my business. A second email went out to them in december and a couple follow up calls. I sent an email showing the items I wanted (6-24 cut pizzas) which their special on their website includes 1lb of boneless wings and a 2liter with each pizza purchase. The total on the website came to $271. Al, finally returned my call and I was told the total would be $279. So the day before the event, I call and pay $279 plus a $40 tip. Perfect, done! 5 minutes later, Jess called saying Al decides that he cant give me the pizzas for $279 because of the quality of food I am getting. I would need to pay an additional $36 if I wanted my order.....that I have spoke to them about since November. $36 is not an issue, but being told the day before the event, and AFTER I call and pay-is nothing short of unprofessional. It was less than 24 hours from the event so I didn't have the time to find another option. To top it off, the delivery was supposed to arrive at 6:30pm and unfortunately the driver went to a different location and didn't arrive until 7:10pm. I asked the driver to have Mike call me and he has yet to do so. Sadly, they lost out on future business and lost a customer or ...two! read more

Only thing it coulda used was just a tad more sauce BUT STILL VERY DELICIOUS ! I searched this place during a visit with my friend who lives in the area ! I have tried other pizza places around Troy and this was the best. We also ordered fries and 2 cannolis! Connolis were good too ! Definitely up there with the Cannolis from Coney Island, Brooklyn. So glad these two brothers took over this pizza joint. It's night and day from the previous owners. This pizza is great. The dough is thin, airy, crunchy and tastes good. The crunchiness gives the slice some structural integrity which helps hold the generous amount of cheese in place without sacrificing taste. I've tried plain, which is my litmus test for all pizzas and it passed with flying colors. I've also had the pepperoni and the white pizza. Both good and the white was nice and garlicky. It sucks that Covid-19 hit right around the time I discovered them. I hope that the area supports them and keeps a great pizza joint in the area! read more

I love this place. I went in a handful of times before the quarantine started and the atmosphere is awesome. It brought me right back to my youth with all of the posters of movies from my youth. They have everyone of my favorite movies on a shelf near the counter. The pizza and wings are the best I've had since I moved away from my hometown Utica Ny. I'm always disappointed with the pizza and wings in this area. They are usually missing the chewiness in the dough or the cheese is rubbery and salty sauce tastes bland. Not this place though it has everything I've been looking for since moving away from my hometown 9 years ago. The wings were what really sealed the deal for me. The wings are just good quality not oversized rubbery hormone pumped ones. They always fry them nice and crisp and the Med sauce is just like I want thin like a butter hot sauce mix. I don't like leaving a negative review. I just didn't think this restaurant was very good. The pizza crust was burnt and hard to chew. I was unable to recognize what toppings were on it. The wings were also over cooked and sat in a puddle of some liquid. An antipasto was slices of pepperoni strewn over green stuff. We skipped it entirely.
