This place has deliciously "greasy" slices, just like I love to get in NYC. It's the kind that drips down your chin & your mouth is flooded with amazing flavor, napkins required. Wouldn't want it any other way. I've also had their mozzarella sticks, onion rings & wings. Can't complain about anything. You can't go wrong here. Service is on point, fast & friendly. You can eat in or takeout. Either way, their food is stellar. read more

After a travel day from hell and arriving 10pm at my hotel instead of 3pm as planned, I was exhausted and hungry. Lucky for me there were some places open. I checked it out online and ordered a small Pepperoni pizza and beef shawarma wrap. It said 45min delivery but arrived in 15min hot and fresh. Delivery man was cordial, food was tasty and fresh. What more so you want. May try some of their other dishes this week since so convenient and decent price. read more

Amante's is a fun Troy local spot because I'd never willing order from them unless it was 2am. I ordered these at 2am. Probably the driest and plan chicken wings? They're mild but they were too crispy and the sauce wasn't that great. Thankfully, DoorDash had a promotion so we got 50 wings for $45 but... idk not my favorite. Maybe another flavor would have worked better. read more

I try to use a business a few times before posting a review because sometimes experiences vary. Not with Amante's, they are always great. I ordered 6 bone in wings parmesan with blue cheese and a medium cheese pizza with sausage, mushrooms and extra cheese. The wings were juicy, delicious and hot. The pizza was delicious as usual and enough for leftovers the next day. The delivery is always fast, with the driver calling you when he is outside, which is a very smart and convenient thing to do these days. I am very impressed. Thank you Amante, well done! read more

Everything I've tried on the menu has been excellent. I particularly like their pizza slices- thin crust & many options w/ generous toppings. read more

Ordered delivery this past weekend based off Yelp recommendations. My delivery driver was very kind and patient finding my apartment (in the snow nonethless). The food came warm and was yummy. I expected the garlic knots to be a bit more flavorful than they were but they were okay. The wings and pizza were solid, nothing extraordinary but definitely not bad. I prefer crispier fries so I'm a bit biased against those. The price for all of this was very reasonable and I used one of their combo coupons for the pizza, wings, and garlic knots. Overall, a solid experience and will keep them in mind for the future. read more

Love their wings but have been trying other things, such as calzone, wrap, and shawarma. So far all have been great!

The pizza restaurant is situated in a neighborhood that may not be very inviting. During my visit to Troy, NY. I chose to stop for pizza and selected this place based on my GPS. The place is clean and organized. The chicken parm subs and the pizza were very good. The person at the counter was nnvery helpful and always happy. read more

pizza was ok but drivers are not allowed to make a full delivery but want a full tip. I had to go out to the driver's car to get my order. I can get pizza from anywhere else with true customer service. read more

Gluten free pizza was possibly one of the worst we've ever had...unless you enjoy chewing on Sheetrock. Then I guess it's ok. That being said the regular cheese and pep is great. read more

The Sicilian pie was not good, a bit pricey compared to other places where you can get better ingredients, they used canned mushrooms and the cheese didn't taste good, overall it tasted bland and like a generic pizza. read more

I didn't eat any of their food but I've decided to leave a review. I checked their business hours on Yelp and arrived 10:35. The store wasn't ready to serve. The person at the front told me to wait for a 10-15 min. But later he told me that the store opens at 10:45. Well, maybe there was misprint on yelp but they are not aware of it. It is 10:30 and their door was open... I put two stars not for that. They had two "stacks" of slices in the show case, and each of them are literally the stack of 5-6 slices. It must be from previous night. It looks just my last night left over pizza. They are keeping it and selling it? In any case, the show case should be empty and clean before the opening. Any slices shouldn't be stacked. The quality/sanitary aspect of a dining places should be better with their high rating. The store is small, and I saw someone smoking weed on the street across... Felt not the best place for my fellow Yelpers to explore this place by looking at high rating. If someone wants to try to eat, please let me know the taste of them! read more

These people are ridiculous. They'll leave your food on the curb. I live in downtown Troy and they leave my food outside. I'm afraid to even eat it. To the trash read more

Guy was rude. Extremely gangster vibes. I was being friendly and he gave me a rude answer. Definitely not coming back.

I have ordered, for delivery, three times from this establishment. I have NEVER been disappointed! The 'build your own' calzone is perfect every time! I'm sure that, some day, I might try something else on the menu, but one doesn't mess with perfection. If you're in the delivery area, you're cheating yourself if you try Amantes. read more

Staying at a hotel in the area and Amante was recommended by the hotel staff. I was a little apprehensive since some of the reviews on Yelp were worded with "Best pizza in the Troy area" The pizza may be the best if you live in the region, but for a boy from NYC the answer is No! The prices though are reasonable for a large pie with toppings. I had half with sausage and pepperoni and an order of 12 mild jumbo buffalo wings. The food took about 30 minutes to get here and the ordering was quick and easy as the guy who took my order over the phone was pleasant and gave me some discounts. When the pizza arrived I didn't have any plates, napkins or parmesan cheese. So make sure you request for these items when you place your order. The pizza itself looked beautiful with strategically placed toppings that made my 1st impression when I opened the box a surprisingly impressed one. Unfortunately, the dough was way too spongy and soggy and the sausage and pepperoni lacked any real flavor. I did however enjoy the wings, but wished they would have gave me more bleu cheese dressing since ithe container was not enough for 12 jumbo sized wings. Best pizza, maybe for the area. But if you're hungry it will get the job done. read more

A small pizza spot with a college town town vibe. I'm not sure what other reviewers were expecting comparing this place to NYC pizzerias. Last I checked, the Troy/Albany area isn't considered NYC. Having been spoiled by experiencing the best of pizza parlors in New Jersey, NYC, and New Haven, I tempered my expectations and found the pizza here to be solid. The staff was friendly and the placed offered promotions for combos as you'd expect in a college town. There is limited seating inside as the place is primarily set up for take out/delivery, but can accommodate people wishing to dine in. Yelp led me here & Amante Pizza did not disappoint. I'd definitely return if I was in the the area again with a hankering for some pizza. read more

I ordered a large pizza with 2 extra toppings and a large salad for delivery from Amante Pizza through Slice in Carrboro. The cost was $45+. The order arrive an hour later and was not at all what I expected. I have ordered from Amante fairly often for about 40 years since Mike Villipoto first opened, so I knew very well what to expect. When I complained, the manager said that the pizza was a large one stuffed into a medium box and that the salad was their large one. That is laughable. The pizza fit fine into the box, and the salad was not at all large. The Slice people were caught in the middle. In any case, Amante has lost for good a long time customer, and if that manager worked for me, she would be fired for sure, not so much for making mistakes on the order, but for denying the error. read more

The pizza is okay. By okay, I mean: not bad, but not the best. My wife does like it, so maybe I'm the snob here? I do give them credit: the BBQ wings are not bad! We tend to order there from time to time. Haven't really had a bad experience. read more

Called in from 30 minutes away, advised the gentleman when we would arrive, no problem! Stopped on our way from making a delivery to another state during C19. The garlic Parmesan extra crispy wings were perfect. Crunchy on the outside and still moist on the inside. I also ordered two slices of the specialty pizza. Both were a white/garlic sauce. One was very good and the other was a little on the dry side. Would definitely go again. read more

Where else to write my 200th Yelp review but my favorite pizza place in Troy? Hello Amante! Tucked away in between RPI and dreaded Hoosic Street, I have never entered your doors. I found you through google searches and maybe even yelp on a drunken Saturday night at 10PM, craving pizza like no other. I have celiac disease, which means that wheat products make my brain inflamed, which also means that pizza is never my go-to because it's usually a hassle to find one made out of rice and potato and whatever else. It's always annoying to ask if the option exists, and all that. However, Amante's website (although very difficult to navigate on mobile) makes it easy for me and kept me confident that they wouldn't mess up my order. The gluten free only comes in one size and they don't overcharge you ridiculous amounts for getting it gluten free (another reason celiacs rarely order pizza). I am SO GRATEFUL. No repeating my order a million times over the phone, no repeating my address a bunch, either. They have the pizza ready and get to my place super quickly every time. I just moved two blocks farther than my last place, so I'm not sure I'm still able to order delivery from them (a little afraid to find out), but DeFazio's is right next door and I'll still order from Amante. You guys RULE. Your pizza is delicious. Thank you :) read more

I try not to complain when people get my order wrong. I called to tell them that I ordered a Crispy chicken sandwich with just lettuce and tomato and when I got home there was a wrap with chopped chicken and lettuce. Well, long story short I got an answer of the phone and when I told him the situation he said he would be right back to me. After holding for 7 minutes I finally got disgusted and hung up. How can a Pizza House have so much inconsideration for customers and accuracy of orders. I bet their return business of other than RPI is not very good if what I had was an example of their service read more

Okay so pizza was good there's no denying that but my boyfriend and I did get a gnarly stomach ache after so we haven't ordered again. We probably would get it again but we have more options so it would be more of a last resort. But the prices are good so that is a plus! read more

Watch yourself we run red lights and break the law to get you your food. Safety is not our first concern. I live on Highland Ave., Amonte delivery driver was driving down Burdett Avenue in a school zone doing 40 at 11 o'clock at night. Ran a red light almost hit me on my bike when I called to report him to his bosses. His bosses told me to fuck off not our problem. What would you like me to do, bad business bro take responsibility for your drivers. That's why one of them died on Hoosick in front of McDonald's for speeding and running red lights and your food taste like shit micks pizza from Cohoes is way better not so sloppy not so shitty. Chicken wings aren't burnt. Give them a try. They'll blow them out of the water. And they respect the laws of the road and safety is their concern, especially during a holiday season don't drive to kill drive to feed. read more

First time ordering pizza from Amantes. It was excellent! The delivery was lightning quick and the pizza was much tastier and seasoned then other establishments. I mean what can you really say about pizza? I can say enough to let everyone know it's worth a try! Not your average pie. The wings were meaty and seasoned just right. Next time I may ask for the wings to be crispier, but thats just me. The pizza was hot when it arrived which is always a plus. I will be ordering again. read more

3.5 STARS Being apprehensive about the wait at Di Fazio on Good Friday, I persuaded my reluctant brother and sister-in-law to give this pizza place a try based on Yelp reviews."Pizza place" is somewhat of a misnomer because, in a logical attempt to broaden its appeal to the hungry but impoverished college students at nearby RPI, this casual restaurant features a wide variety of hummus, shawarma and gyro options for less than ten bucks.......but.....we came for the pizza. My brother called in a takeout pickup order for a Pepperoni Pizza(a very reasonable $12.95 for a medium eight slice pie).Yes....this former altar boy is lapsed and on the road to excommunication. We were told to pick the pie up in 25 minutes and the pizza was ready when we arrived. It was appropriately hot and fresh tasting. The pepperoni count was generous, with 5-6 pieces of pepperoni a slice. The cheese was good but a bit blander than Di Fazio's.The three of us agreed that the pizza was pretty good but we prefered Di Fazio's pie. But what the heck....you would be hard pressed to find a Pepperoni Pie in the Capital Region as good for $12.95. Our family would not be averse to returning to try a plain cheese pie or the shawarma and gyros. read more

Pizza was not cut, luckily I had a cutter. Half of the pizza wasn't even cooked. Would have better luck ordering raw ingredients and slapping it together myself. Fried foods came out okay, but lacking flavor. Still recooked everything after a 10 minute drive home. Would not recommend.
