Really good…read moresandwiches made to order (cold cuts, warm, whatever you want!) and lots of authentic items you won't find elsewhere. Think a convenience shop focused on Italian goodies - I saw raw honeycombs, what looked like fresh cannolis, and lots of olive oil. I definitely plan on coming back to try more options, but the sandwich I had was DELICIOUS. Their cookie selection and pasta sauces also caught my eye. Service is quick and it's essentially all carryouts. I"ll be back!

I ordered 1/2 trays of everything for our group of 13 and we had more than enough food. Our dishes were Penne with Vodka Sauce, Meatballs with Marinara along with more penne in sauce, Chicken Marsala and Antipasto. The Chicken was absolutely delicious with lots of mushrooms and flavorful sauce. The meatballs were enormous and more importantly tasty. The only dish I wasn't entirely pleased with was the antipasto. I was envisioning whole chunks of cheese, olives, peppers and rolled cold cuts. Instead it was finely chopped cold cuts and American cheese on a bed of oily greens with a few pickled vegetables. Alas, I don't have any pictures! I didn't think to take any with all the festivities. I would definitely use them again for my catering/party needs.

First off I'm not sure what food people in these reviews are eating, because in my experience the Italian mix sub was very bland, the bread was dry, and the meat looked pale and weird. That ambience of the place was nostalgic which is the reason why I gave it 3 stars and not 2. The woman helping me was friendly enough but made it a point to tell me how gas prices were fine at $4.10 per gallon as long as Trump was the president, which annoyed me because it gives an indication that details don't matter here. Given the taste of the $15 small sub I paid for it definitely tracks. Be your own critic, but for me it's the history of this place and not the food has people coming back. I won't be one of them.

After all these years, Fiorello still serves the best Italian sub in this region in my book…read more Service is warm, friendly, and helpful like you'd expect from a mum and pop shop, and I love that this is a local family-run business. Some notable changes I noticed during the most recent visit include a big flat screen TV and tables and chairs indoors. The freezer apparently was out of order, but I would have loved to get their tiramisu which is also one of the best I've ever had. Their sub always strikes the right balance in the dressing, bread, meats, and toppings. Toppings are consistently good quality, and you can customise your sub by asking staff what you do and don't want on it. I hope they stay healthy and busy for decades to come.

The shelves are stocked with imported pastas, sauces, and specialty items that make it hard to leave empty-handed. I ordered the Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, which was outstanding with a perfectly crispy cutlet and fresh ingredients. The macaroni salad was a great side, and the cannoli was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. If you're looking for authentic Italian flavors and a true old-school market experience in Albany, Cardona's is definitely worth a visit.

The market has that old time vibe of being part of the neighborhood. Amazing selection of Italian goods and some seating. Perhaps most importantly, a really nice selection of creative sandwiches, filled with high quality ingredients, that they can also put on a wrap. I loved the Rabe C, broccoli rabe, fried eggplant, provolone and hot pepper spread. Great flavor combo and a pop of heat from the pepper spread. My wife enjoyed a delicious roast beef wrap and my daughter enjoyed a vibrant pasta salad. All that plus a local orchard sparkling apple cider! Almost forgot to mention, the woman working behind the counter was pleasant and the staff were all professional. I can see why it's a local favorite!

They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, eat-in, takeout or delivery via the GrubHub app. The place is pretty low key which offers counter service with open grill area and a few tables for eating in. For food choices, they serve up a variety of deli subs (Thumann's), burgers, hot dogs, hand cut fries, onion rings, macaroni salad, potato salad, pasta salad, wings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and cold drinks from the cooler. Breakfast choices include eggs, pancakes, French toast, home fries, breakfast meats, bagels, and toast. The prices here seem reasonable and they offer everyday specials and daily specials. Big Bellies is now open everyday including Sundays. They are still evolving and added two new deep fryers so they can expand their offerings here. Deep fried Oreos may be on the menu soon! I stopped in here for lunch takeout recently. I ordered the #4 Single Cheeseburger, French Fries, and Drink ($7.25 plus tax). My food was prepared fresh and made to order including a fresh ground beef patty on the grill. The hand cut fries (stored in water) were deep fried for several minutes. I grabbed a Schweppes Ginger Ale bottle from the cooler to complete the meal. The Single Cheeseburger I ordered was thick, a juicy grilled beef patty topped with melted American cheese, tomato, lettuce, ketchup, and onions on a thick soft bun. The hand cut fries were firm, a bit oily, but very good! I definitely need to try the potato salad and pasta salad on a future visit because I heard it was very good, usually made fresh twice a week according to staff.
