Still this is my favorite pizza place in the area... it really is. I know up here they like crispy pizza crust and that drives me up the wall because I prefer to fold it and not have to worry about broken crust caught between my teeth, etc.... so this one was really that good to make me look past that. But it's the quality assurance of this place.... half the time you order on a Saturday and their system accepts the order, the DoorDash driver comes by and "whoops!" they're closed. Then you ask when they open and they'll say 10am... and someone says "we had a family emergency"... and while I get that, how about you turn off the ordering system to accept the orders so I'm not out the money and the driver doesn't waste time driving to pick up the food? Then sometimes you'll get a great saucy pizza (which I love).... but other times, someone just decides to be lazy and take a pizza they've had sitting around under the counter for slices and just use that. So you paid $15+ for a pizza to be cooked fresh and you get a pizza that's dry and tastes like someone reheated the whole pizza. That was the last straw for me because they do it so many times... both of those things. Great pizza sauce, great pizza, but OMG, I can tell why I never see anyone inside your pizza place whenever I go... And they haven't changed... they used to sometimes just burn the crap out of the pizza too... you'd get a pizza that crumbles in your hand under it, or sometimes you'll get a crust with a huge bubble in the middle because they just didn't care. And that's why I stopped ordering from them... just laziness and no one is really around to make sure they don't do these things...... shame, really. read more

My husband and I wanted to try pizza palace since we had never been there before. He ordered cheese pizza and I ordered a slice of barbecue chicken and a slice of broccoli feta cheese pizza The pizza was delicious. The crust was thin and crispy on the bottom, loved it. The staff was very friendly. We took a look at their menu for possible catering at another time. I was quite surprised at the foods available. When you walk in, the place seems like a small pizza shop, but they seem to have a full-service menu. We look forward to stopping by again. read more

Food is good (if you get it on a good day) but they'll often be closed when they say they're going to be open. On off-peak times, they're all in the back and don't even know if anyone's in the front. They seem to have an oven in the front which they don't actively use. Sometimes you get the feeling that they just don't want to be in business. I've ordered a pizza and had it so burnt that the crust falls apart in the box... bottom of the pizza is black. Other times, they don't put that tripod in the middle of the pizza to keep the cheese in place so it ends up slid on one side of the pizza. And even other times, they overcook it so much that the cheese is orange and the crust is brittle and black. You go in there and the guy cooking really doesn't seem like he cares to be there. I get off work around 6pm or so and I stop by and this is what I end up getting. If I order from Doordash, I've had two orders in a short time where the driver cancels the order because they were closed. They just don't accept the order or just don't turn the machine on... who knows? And it's a shame too because it's really good pizza when fresh from the oven... but you can tell that they have a good sauce but really just don't want to deal with people..... if that's the case, just close down. I'll drive down to Paesans near Albany, NY (exit 5 on i-87, I think)... much better pizza and definitely a much better atmosphere. read more

Ordered a margarite pizza which should have had fresh tomatoes& basil leaves on it to be delivered thru door dash. We got no basil leaves and it looked like canned tomatoes and mozzarella and Parmesan. The toppings disappointed the crust was ok. Don't think I'll order again. read more

The Pizza Palace isn't an inviting atmosphere for eating in. There was one decent-sized round table, a bar with stools, and two smaller tables near the drink case. We went in the early evening in a weeknight and found the display case to be pretty bare. There was a small family eating at the aforementioned round table, and one other customer there. The place was pretty dead. They had a number of interesting options on their menu. Three of us were ordering and decided on each getting a small pizza so we would have leftovers for lunch the next day. We ordered the Palace Deluxe, the Margherita, and Crazy Chicken pizzas, as well as a cheese calzone to share. We were told the order would take about 20 minutes. Since the storefront is pretty small, we left, and returned to pick up our order. I think they forgot about our order. In the time we were gone, the family sitting at the round table had left, replaced by a new family who already had their food, yet our order wasn't ready. In fact, it was another 20 minutes before our order was done. So, on a dead evening, it was 41 minutes from when we placed our order to when we received it, verified by the timestamp on our receipt. Of the three different pies we purchased, the Crazy Chicken was good, and the only one I would order again. The Palace Deluxe was okay. The Margherita was disappointing. The Calzone was okay. Considering that we paid $78, I don't think the Pizza Palace is worth it. It was over-priced, compared to other local pizza places, and the wait was ridiculously long under the circumstances. read more

I was in Clifton Park to get my gums scraped and I stopped at this little pizza shop for a bite of lunch. Is it a good idea to eat pizza right after a dental cleaning? Probably not, but I was hungry. *shrug* I got a slice of cheese, a slice of BBQ chicken and a bottled water for just under six bucks. Great deal! They're nice, big, classic NY slices. The flavor seemed a bit mild to me, but that could've been the fluoride treatment affecting my taste buds. Regardless, the pies looked and tasted good. Clean oven = no soot on the bottom, unlike some lazy places. Chatted with the owner for a bit and he seemed like a nice guy. The shop only has a few small tables, so it's probably more of a takeout / delivery place unless you're just looking for a quick snack. Definitely recommend giving Pizza Palace a try! read more

The food is good. I like their slices. The dough has a good stretch and chew to it. They have mac n cheese bites I like (usually I dislike maNcheese bites). They have pineapple juice as a drink choice in the fridge, too!! The service is prompt and friendly. If you come in and the main fellow is not out front, he comes out in short order and will greet you, and take your order. He is willing to talk, if it is not too busy; I enjoy this. There are big windows at the front of the building which let in lots of natural light during the day. Pizza was well cooked. The pizza sauce was sweeter than some, so if you're not into that type of sauce, I'd pass. The flavors were delicious and the owner was very pleasant. He was attentive and although the decor was lacking, he made up for it with friendly service. It has very limited seating, I would not recommend for a sit down place. The pizza here blows away any pizza place in the area. The crust is light. The sauce and cheese taste fresh and we've never had a greasy pizza. For those with sensitive stomachs, this is the pizza for you. They will be adding a gluten free pizza to their menu. You can go in and buy a slice if you just want to try it. RUDE & OBNOXIOUS !!!!...I went in 15 minutes after they opened. No one at the counter & the place looked like it wasn't prepared for business. A man came out from the back and snaped at me: "We don't start selling slices until 11 AM " ..BUT, I was there to buy two large Specials & 4 sodas !!!..However, I will not be treated like this so I left & got my pizza another place. Service is nice and welcoming , pizza selection was good - honestly you have to get there right at lunch hours or even dinner to get a good selection . Cheese fries were good but could have been better with cheese sauce with extra melted cheese not just melted mozzarella on top with the other toppings . First time trying, it was great! Authentic New York pizza at a great price especially in this economy. The man behind the counter, who I assume is the owner, was very friendly and personable. Pizza was decent I'm sure it would have been better if it was hot. Pick up probably would have been a better option. Delivery took over an hour and was delivered by a guy (I'm assuming grub hub or door dash) who had the pizza in the trunk of his car, no warming bag, when it was 25° outside. Decent food, not so decent service. We placed on online order on a Saturday night and it said approx 20 minutes. Yeah ok. Got there right when the order should have been ready and expecting it to take a little longer which would have been ok. They said it would be 15 minutes. They were busy and it was a Saturday night. Not the end of the world. Right after we got there a lady came in a placed a takeout order. About 20 minutes later her food came out and she left with it and the guy asked us "what did you order again". He informed us they were out of the garlic knots and could replace them with garlic bread as well. 25 more minutes later our food finally came out (obviously they had lost or not started our order until he asked what we had). During that time we watched another customer pick up an order, but come back inside after a minute and say he was missing part of his order to which they replied "yeah we ran out of that" to which he asked "so no one was going to say anything and let me leave without it and scam me out of the money" . Kind of ridiculous. Meanwhile we get out food home and they STILL GOT IT WRONG. The garlic bread replacement they gave us was someone else's chicken parm sub. I'm sure that customer will enjoy our garlic bread. The customer service was lacking as most of the workers were younger folks that spent half the time staring at their phones. Shocker, right? The pizza was decent, the wings were a good size but under-cooked and the sauce was goopy. The chicken parm sub lacking any flavor at all. Will not be going back. read more
