100% worth the trip!! Some of the most incredible barbecue I have ever had. The service was a 10/10.

The place is clean and the food was amazing. Even have garlic gloves marinated to buy to take home to add to dishes which I highly recommend. FYI there portions are massive which is nice plenty to take home afterward. Oh and they have seating and the staff super nice.

I have to say....I didn't know what to expect, but this place is awesome!! The ribs had a wonderful smoke ring and the meat fell right off the bone. The beef brisket was great too. Nice and tender, definitely put the Nashville hot bbq sauce on it. Yummy. Smoked chicken wings were great too. Took some pulled pork and cobbler pie to go. Wanted to try a bit of everything. Totally worth it!! The owner was super nice, "BBQ KING" (Brandon) and with it being the day before thanksgiving, he was able to come chat a bit about the place, which is was nice to hear about. Mad orders were a called in advance that he had to have his phone turned off. I say an ate and I watched the people come in one after another. If your around the are, definitely come an visit. No vegans allowed!! JK

Memphis King continues to wow me. Their ribs are so tender and flavorful. I picked one up by the bone and the meat just slid right off. The first bite knocks me off my feet and triggers my caveman brain's pleasure center. Their ribs are just solid.

Best BBQ in the 518! We've tried the smoked meat, brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken in the past and they're all the best barbecue we've tried. They recently added fried chicken to the menu and kept seeing pictures on social media of it and had to try it out. The chicken thigh was Huge and delicious it was cooked perfectly with a moist tender inside and super crunchy coating. The fried chicken sandwich with coleslaw and bbq sauce was very big and filling, however I'd opt for the coleslaw on the side next time. We order the popcorn chicken every time and recommend it to anyone willing to listen lol, it is the best!! The popcorn chicken is made in house not that frozen processed junk, it's real chicken hand breaded right there on premises. Be sure to try the mac&cheese it's perfect comfort food.

FANTASTIC CRAFT BBQ--We are major bbq fans. And hold a high standard. We have a smoker, and smoke our own meats, if I lived here, I would not. I'd put my wood down and just pick this 'cue up at least once a week. This bbq checks every single box. Fabulous flavor, both smoke and spice in balance. Perfectly cooked, moist, tender. High quality meats, clearly. The sauces are diverse and amazing we tried 6! We got: full rack ribs...excellent--tender, juicy, just the right amount of smoke, and the rub is very very good. Lots of flavor but doesn't take over. PERFECTION. These ribs are master class. Burnt ends: not burnt, dry, and tough like a lot of places. Just really smoky, still tender and juicy and take to sauce really nicely. FANTASTIC! If these are the ends, the brisket must be amazing. Kinda sad we didn't try it Popcorn chicken: lots of bbq places will toss fried chicken on the menu, bc some ppl want it, but it may at best hold its own, and does not take center stage. THIS CHICKEN IS AMAZING. It should have a stage of its own. Come for the bbq, don't leave without some chicken!!Incredibly moist (not easy to do!) great batter, again flavorful without taking over. Dip your chicken in a sauce or just toss it in your mouth. Great either way. Sides we had--all fantastic. Baked Beans with smoked meats, fries with a parm garlic rub tossed on. Both great. I make my own baked beans being a Boston and Maine native and these beans were TOPS. The slaw was nice, I'm a slaw snob (true, it's a curse) and this one needed a little more flavor but it was fresh and crunchy. Check this place out. Eat in. Take some home. You'll love it.

Beef Brisket Sandwich topped w/ slaw & BBQ sauce w/ side of Mac & Cheese.

I find it very difficult to believe that I let three and a half years pass since my first and last visit to Memphis King. With all the times I've passed it over that time I always think to myself that I really would like to go back. Today was the day and as I sat parked in my car at the curb, I called up my last review to see what I ate so that it might help me to avoid a repeat order. So a pulled pork sandwich was eliminated as an option. Once inside, reviewing the menu on the counter I was now deciding between chicken or beef if I was going to stay with another sandwich. I decided on the Beef Brisket. Now the basic Beef Brisket Sandwich topped with slaw and BBQ sauce is $7. Ordering a Kings BBQ Sandwich Meal Combo includes an 8 oz. side dish for $10 according to the menu. For some reason my small Beef Brisket sandwich and a side of Mac & Cheese came to $12. Maybe the Combo is based on the cost of a Pulled Chicken Sandwich which by itself is $5. In any event, the difference in cost is probably moot because I really enjoyed every bit of both the brisket and the mac and cheese. The brisket had a very nice smoke level. According to my taste, I might have enjoyed just a little more smoke flavor, but there was enough there to satisfy my craving. The beef had great coloring and some good crusty edges on some of the pieces. It was tender and the topping of slaw ensured a sufficient amount of moisture on the truly fresh and soft bun. Once again I tried all seven sauces that were available on the table trying to decide which I liked the best. Again, no outright winner. They were all good. Well, maybe the White sauce had a slight edge. Or what about that zippy mustard? The Mac & Cheese should not be overlooked. Served nice and hot, there was some good gooey cheesiness and the top had a crispy goldenness. Looks like my next visit will be to try chicken. I think the Fried Chicken Thigh Sandwich is already calling out to me. Service is friendly and fast.

Meat & Company first and foremost takes me back to the Yelp Elite event which was so memorable for…read moreso many reasons. Yes, the food was delicious and plentiful, but connecting with Yelpers was one of the biggest highlights of that event. So, I know it's taken us long enough to come back but it was truly better late than never because they did not disappoint. It was within an hour of closing but the place was buzzing both with folks dining in and a constant stream of orders from online and in store. We settled on their brisket sando and three sides - pit beans, mac & cheese, potato salad. The brisket was tender and juicy, potato salad wholesome and egg-y, pit beans sweet and spicy, and m&c mac & cheesy. While they don't have French fries, they have homemade kettle chips which I'm generally not enthused about but the ones here had a softer finish and I rather enjoyed them. Oh, and an honourable mention is due to the comfy chairs which are extremely hard to come by in restaurants. One minor (but non-negligible) gripe was the rather long wait before we could place our orders because the staff right in front of us insisted on packing a big online order AND serving the folks picking them up drinks before we could put our orders in. I personally would have taken the order of someone in line especially since there was no one behind us, so that the kitchen staff can start filling our orders while the staff at the register can return to finishing packing the pickup order. We'll go back. It's cool to see a local family business going strong after two years, and I feel like whoever is behind the venture managed to create something extra ordinary.

I had the brisket, the pulled pork, the baked beans, and the mac & cheese. The brisket was perfect and served with sauce on the side. Lots of great spices, tons of flavorful smoke, not too mushy, not too fatty. - The beans were phenomenal with tons of flavorful pork bits inside. I wish I could make them that good at home, but I don't access to the BBQ scraps that they have. The mac and cheese was dense and creamy, and the pasta was not at all overcooked. I really appreciated this. The Bad: - seating is limited, and it is quite likely during a busy time you will get your food before a table is open. Why do they limit the number of tables they have when there is space for more? That doesn't make sense. - the pulled pork was just meh. It tasted flat, the texture was pure mush, and the color was a bit odd. Frankly, I make it better at home. This reminded me of crockpot pulled pork with a bit more smoke flavor. It too was served sauce on the side. - when our food was served it was covered with complimentary red pickled onions. Yuck! Apparently they sometimes ask in advance but they might forget when busy. Thankfully, since they didn't ask and made the wrong assumption they were willing to remake my plate without onions. - no cheap drinks. No cheap anything really. Imported soda, exotic Fiji brand water, etc. Their prices are very high for some things. They make great food, but you might get hit with $25/person or more before the smoke settles. Was it worth it? For some stuff yes, and for other things no. We had a good time, and I know better what to focus my order on in the future. But to go at dinner time when there might not be a table to enjoy your food is a real bummer.

The Chicken and Lamb were moist and tender. I am not a lamb lover, but this lamb could change my mind. The rice was spiced mildly and tasted great with the meats. The pita was cut into small pieces, but I would have preferred a whole or half pita. I will ask next time. The owner supplied me with three different sauces on the side to try ranging from mild to spicy (green one). The Chicken Chapli was a cut up well seasoned chicken patty. A few meat combinations are available. (See pic of Menu) The Swarma Wrap was moist and a little messy to eat since I sliced it into two portions. It had a medium spiced sauce and small salad pieces such as cucumber. Not my favorite. The owner was friendly and thanked me for my business. He said they cater for as few as ten people if interested. I commented on the long hours they are open (10 am to 1:15 am), and he responded with a smile, "We're from the City." There are several tables to dine in if wanted. Lots of natural light from the large front windows makes the place inviting. The pick up counter with kitchen behind it is beyond the tables. The walls are decorated nicely, and the place screamed CLEAN. Parking is in front, and the restaurant is easy to access. There are no steps to enter. I look forward to ordering again soon, especially when family visits. Quality, healthy well prepared food to enjoy at home. Please check out my photos to get a sense of the experience.

But after eating there I found they have curated their own unique versions of the classics. We started with an order of 3's company wings which was a mixture of buffalo, garlic parm, and lemon pepper sauces. The sauce was pretty good but I like my wings crispy and these were not. For dinner I got the Backstage burger and upgraded to poutine fries. Now I'm not the biggest fan of a traditional poutine but I wanted to try it anyway because it looked good. The burger was cooked perfectly and the beef they use is very good. The poutine fries were enormous and apparently only half the size of a full order. If you like poutine you'll probably be into them but I thought the gravy was a little thick and not that flavorful and the cheese curds didn't melt as much as I would have liked. The real sleeper hit though was the Mac & Cheese. I wasn't expecting anything special and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely would come back for that. When we showed up it wasn't too busy but they were full by the time we left and I got the feeling that reservations are preferred.

Furthermore, this thing was so overly fried, there was a very thick shell of fried 'something' surrounding the fish. Now, to be fair, once I chipped away the fried exterior, the fish was pretty good.
