Small ramen spot off Wolf Road. There a a few booths inside and alot of business appears to be take away. The cooler has an assortment of bubble tea tea beers sodas and juice. The C Town pulled pork buns were amazing, inside very juicy pork with small sliced green onion, Outside perfect fluffy warm bun. We both ordered Spicy Gyu Ramen. The beef was dry in both our dishes. The bowls were served piping hot with tons of bamboo cilantro onion and noodles. The spice level was a six out of ten. There was also a birria Ramen special I want to try next.

I really enjoy Kuma Ani for a quick bite. They have a handful of meat-free noodle and ramen options that are all delicious. The peanut mein is probably my favorite dish, I like the chewiness of the noodle and the peanut sauce has a nice balanced peanuty and rice vinegary flavor. Having the option to have a little alcoholic beverage is great. The service is fast and friendly, the space is usually very clean. I like sitting out on the patio if the weather is good. Overall, I think Kuma Ani is a great spot!

Posted just some of our bowls over the year. Yes, we even go there for my worry free Birthdays!!

Really great Ramen on Wolf Road! Conveniently located near shops and the Colonie Center Mall, Kuma Ani offers a variety of Ramen and savory dishes to satisfy your hunger. The service was great, if you have questions about the menu, ingredients, or customizations they are super helpful. They offer some bottled alcoholic beverages and they're great for dining in or take out. Ordering is easy, then grab a table and they'll bring the food to you. The tables are clean and the restaurant is fast and efficient! We always get the Vegan Ramen but there are many customizable options. Check out Kuma Ani on Wolf Road!

Food is delicious! We had some appetizers and ramen and everything was so good! The staff was very welcoming and friendly, everything clean and a great atmosphere Definitely coming back

Kuma Ani is a Japanese eatery with delicious options for a quick meal in a laid-back atmosphere! I've been here a few times, and everything I've tried so far has been fantastic. We've had the Karaagedon, Curry Chicken Ramen, Spicy Gyu Ramen, Ultimate Tonkotsu Ramen, Curry Don, and the Zha Jiang Mein. Every dish is packed with incredible flavors, perfectly cooked, and the beef is always SO tender. My boyfriend's go to is the Spicy Gyu, but I still need to try more to figure out my favorite! I also appreciate how beautifully they present the food ^_^ They also offer a Build-Your-Own (BYO) ramen option, which I'm yet to try. We've ordered takeout from them before, and the food was packed securely with no spills. I was worried about the ramen, but it arrived warm and intact! The staff is incredibly sweet and friendly, especially the lady at the front--she's so adorable and always mindful of the customers. I love when she calls me "dear," it always makes me smile hehe The relaxed atmosphere of Kuma Ani makes it the perfect spot for a quick meal when you're craving ramen, rice bowls, or noodles.

Love this place! Delicious Ramen with homemade noodles. Lots of options for flavors and ingredients. Vegetarian and Vegan options too. The prices are fair for the quality of ingredients. Most recently I had noodles with cheese and bacon. It reminded me of a slightly spicy mac and cheese.

I ordered takeout for delivery because I was craving something comforting but also meaty. The soup was yummy and packaged in a way that didn't let the noodles or veggies get soggy in the broth. The broth itself was rich and flavorful. I also thought the serving size was worth the value. The delivery process took a lot longer than I expected for something like ramen, but that's hard to say whether that's on the carrier or restaurant. Excited to try this in person one day, pictures of the place in person look awesome.

Feeling some Ramen? Kuma Ani - Yes Please! On a layover, wanting something hot and delicious and passed on the Indian food joint around the corner for ramen. Great choice by me, self high 5. It has limited in restaurant seating but on appeasement night plenty outside. Fast casual food service with a smile. Cooks seemed to know a lot of their customers. Good sign....my three things 1) Ultimate awesometown Tonkatsu is good...delicious if you ever wanted crispy bacon sprinkled on your ramen. Good depth of flavor. Only gripe is I am guessing the noodles are pre bought. 2) See weed salad and beers in a bottle we pre made and can be purchased right at the counter. Plenty of canned drink choices. 3) This place has a great choice of Asian dished with ramen, Donburri, and Ban Mein

Delicious little ramen spot. Tons of options interior is clean, industrial feeling, and new. Front end staff were decently helpful. Ultimate tonkotsu ramen was chefs kiss.

Love this place. It's a busy business bustling with hungry people. We were fortunate to find space at the last two seats available. They do have outdoor seating but it was really windy and chilly. The ramen is fairly priced. I got the spicy ramen which was the perfect spice level. It's hot but not too hot you can't enjoy it. There was plenty of juicy chicken and an egg and lots of flavorful broth with the best ramen noodles I ever had. My only issue was the choice of music. It really didn't fit the style of food they were serving.

It is an Asian fusion fast food style of operation. You order your food with the cashier upon chucking in and they will bring it to your table. I ordered seaweed salad, kimchi and Gyudon (beef brisket) Doburi. The food tastes great with all the ingredients especially the oshinko slices, but I wish they put a little bit more beef in the donburi.

Fun place for a quick meal. Ramen portions are big, so I take need to remind myself to skip the appetizers! Service is friendly and prompt. It's a very casual place with tables, so I wouldn't hang out here for a long time, but you should eat ramen quickly anyway! Reliable stop for me.

Upon entering, the girl behind the counter just stared at us. No greeting. No direction on where to sit. No smile. We assumed it was self seating so we found a booth. She came over, poured our waters, still said nothing. We had about 45 mins until the restaurant closed so I'm unsure of what the cold attitude was for, as there were still 4-5 other patrons there eating as well. My friend is a vegetarian and ordered the veggie dumplings, and I had the same but with meat. Once the plates arrived, the one set in front of me was green, and his not. I figured I would double check to make sure we had the correct ones - I didn't want him to end up eating the meat ones if it could be avoided. Sure enough, the plates were mixed up. Honestly seemed to be done purposefully because it's very clear they are 2 different orders. The texture was chewy/foamy and they also tasted like old grease. Disappointing but we still had soups to look forward to. Our ramen finally arrived and I was hoping it would be the redemption moment of the evening but it wasn't. It really lacked any depth of flavor. Again the meat was chewy instead of tender. More distracting was how we awkwardly felt rushed as the server was shutting off lights and music...again...with at least 15 mins until the kitchen closing time. She seemed annoyed we asked for to go containers. At no point did she check in with us, refill waters, or even crack any resemblance of a smile. I used to love this little spot when I was in college. It was cozy, delicious, inviting. Couldn't have had more of the opposite experience this time around! And for this reason I would not return. I will travel to Colonie for Kuma Ani for better food and MUCH better service. TLDR; this place is extremely overrated

It's a Taiwan-Asian fusion-inspired fast food chain but I was down for this. It's been more than a year since my last meal here. I don't know if they changed their menu but I experienced a bit of a relearning curve in ordering ramen at the front counter. First, I needed to pick a broth. I chose Tonkotsu ramen, which is ramen in Japanese pork bone broth. Then, I needed to pick a protein which was shrimp and I asked for the meal to be extra spicy. It only took a few minutes. I could hear it being prepared in the kitchen. The young woman at the register was helpful and patient as I made my selection. Definitely convenient. The ramen was good. I got a lot of shrimp and I liked the little slices of fish cake with pink flower designs. The decor has undergone slight changes since I last visited. It seems there are better displays and more varieties of merch. It's still very clean, bright and cheerful. There are still plenty of young customers. Given its close proximity to SUNY Albany that should be no surprise. I liked the playlist, too. R & B and Hip Hop played in the background. Loud enough so that you could definitely hear it but low enough so that students who were dining--some in groups-- could comfortably hold conversations. I didn't plan to come here but my stomach growled. It was a nice, relaxing lunch that hit the spot.

I had the "Crispy chicken in sweet chili sauce" and my wife had the "Mango chicken" (which they accidently made as mango shrimp but quickly corrected). The presentation, as is the rest of the restaurant, is modern. Large white plates, rice in a separate bowl, and absolutely no garnishment on the plate. I enjoyed my chicken and it was sweet and lightly spicy. It had an nice flavor I couldn't place... perhaps their brand of chili sauce.... and the chicken was crispy. My wife's mango chicken was a let down. The mango pieces tasted okay (like canned mango), but the chicken had an unusual flavor/sauce that was a bit unpleasant. She said portions of her chicken were cold and also not crispy, which was also a bummer. The rice was good, and in fact better than some I get at more expensive restaurants. My wife also liked the miso soup that came with the meals. Service was very good. I counted at least 9 employees on a Wednesday night and at one point there were more staff than customers. Food was quick, they were friendly, and the place was clean. The music was a mix of everything but not too loud, which was appreciated. Their menu had lots of nice pictures, which was helpful. (not too sure) The tofu soup I got was mild-lightly spicy and gosh it was the spiciest soup I've ever gotten and I usually eat this and other spicy foods perfectly fine! Wasn't the best for me. Alternatively the beef soup felt a bit bland but my friend liked it. Main complaint is not much beef in the soup and it tasted very tough. alternatively not much seafood either, just tiny small bits of cheap shrimps which were a bummer. Only good thing was the decent price and decent free side dishes (not many) of which only broccoli tasted good. Food took forever to come so side dishes were a life saver although they also were never refilled which at traditional places they are. Main thing: the service was quite bad... from the moment we walked in, we didn't feel welcome as no one welcomed us, dirty tables were everywhere (like in those video games you play to clean up), and we waited awhile at the counter looking at menus until someone greeted us with an attitude yelling that counter is only for to-go and we should've just sat down if we're dining in... she huffed and sat us down, surrounded by the dirty tables. We asked if we could sit elsewhere but as big as the restaurant was, she still said half of it was closed for dinner (I know other places do the same but they were kind enough to let us sit in that area when requested) and the reason why this time, was because we were literally sitting surrounded by dirty dishes all around us - which they never cleaned up the entire hour we dined here! Very unpleasant view-never have I ever! Even our current table was sticky. And the food and service took forever. She seemed very annoyed when we ordered and whenever we asked for water or refill side dishes and gave attitude like we obviously need to wait for her to appear and be free to even ask which she was rarely seen. I never saw her treat other customers like the same way she treated us, for them, she was very patient and kind and offered menu options and even personal talk. Seems like she doesn't like tourists, just regulars. Anyways she was rarely seen throughout the meal and so I just sucked up the not so good food and we finished and took awhile to get the check. That was the only point in the interaction she seemed to be present in the restaurant. Other times she was nowhere to be seen. When paying, she loudly exclaimed what do you want to tip? In an attitude saying that, we had to tip, and it had to be a sufficient amount otherwise she'd be upset - which she was because service was not good. Even when we left and said bye, she gave us no word back and just another one of those scowled looks. Only one lady working the front and she was barely present and not pleasant. Overall food really isn't bad but it isn't amazing either. If this cuisine is what you're craving go for it, it's fairly priced. I would support a small business. But don't expect a clean restaurant or friendly service - unless youre a regular or fits the server preferred demographic. Not the best experience for me. Whole heartedly believe if service was better this could be a solid place!

I may be part of the Asian club but I'm not a part of this particular inner circle. Being Filipino…read more(or being human, for that matter), I tend to compare and contrast cuisines based on my own experience. With several Asian cuisines, rice seems to be the preferred carb. Korean black rice differs primarily in appearance - purple hue due to the mix of black and white rice. Gimbap (Kimbap) - is often described as Korean sushi. In doing some research, there's a distinct difference between the two. The seasonings used to flavor the steamed rice are salt and sesame oil. They are usually stuffed with cooked protein (beef, pork, tofu, fishcake) and pickled vegetables. They seem to be a larger diameter than maki sushi as well. Good? You betcha. Tonkatsu lunch is a favorite....think German pork schnitzel over black rice. The sauce seems to be Tteokbokki (glutinous rice cake) derived - sweet and slightly spiced. There are usually banchan (side dishes) accompanying the meal: kimchi, cucumber pickle, daikon, and eomuk (fish cake). They provide added contrast to the meal. The service has always been efficient and cordial every time I've picked up my order here.

The duck wrapped in scallion pancakes was the best thing we ordered! Delicious! The second best thing was the Taiwanese popcorn chicken, also very tasty. The edamame were edamame. The spicy dumplings were alright, the filling didn't really have enough flavor to be discernible above the chili oil coating the outside. They were tossed with fresh cucumber which was really nice. Okay, here's the tea on the bad stuff. It was really slow for a weekend night. The service was all over the place. They seem to just all work the room but there is no assigned server to your table so they have no idea what is going on. We were all served waters with our other drinks, but unfortunately one of the water glasses was broken. We gave it back to one of the servers who apologized but never came back with a new glass of water, or the additional drink someone else from our party asked for. Another server couldn't speak English which caused many other issues. We were approached several times to order food from different servers. They tried to take our menus away after ordering appetizers. Many more shenanigans ensued, it was honestly a mess. I ordered the biang biang noodles. I had to ask both servers the same questions about my meal because nobody was talking to each other and I got two completely different answers. I decided to accept the risk and order this dish anyway. I wish I hadn't, it was legitimately awful. The small slices of beef were stone cold and were inedible. There was no meat at all, it was just grizzle. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. It was like trying to chew on rubber. Awful! I pushed all the meat to the side of my dish and tried to eat around it. One of the servers asked me if I wanted a box. I told her that the meat was disgusting and just to pack the few noodles I had left on the plate. She just said "oh sorry." The ramen dish had 2 of the thinest slices of pork loin that I have ever seen! They might as well have been cold cuts. And both of those were mostly fat. They were roasted and served untrimmed. And thats all the meat that came in the Tonkotsu ramen dish, besides the 2 slices of fish cakes. What are we on rations guys?? They are very stingy with the protein here. When a place starts cutting food quality and has no self awareness of service quality you know a restaurant is struggling financially or you have an absentee owner situation. I tried to pay a portion of our meal with a gift card and the server couldn't figure out how to do that so she said that they do not accept gift cards. I paid the bill with my credit card and headed for the door. As we were walking out the door, she ran up to me and said "oh we accept gift card, my manager show me how. You can pay gift card when you come again!" I said okay and walked out the door laughing. Don't worry! We will never be back again!
