Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here! The service was great, they even give you bonus on the house items that you didn't even order. I received a free kani salad, a free mixed green salad and a free clear soup. This makes great value for money! I enjoyed all the items that I ordered except for the hibachi. I would order everything else I ordered again. Unfortunately, the hibachi was sitting in a very watery sauce. The texture of course was watery, and this rendered the flavor almost flavorless. This is a real shame considering the price tag of this item. Though I will never order this item again I would happily order all of the other items that I ordered again. I chose to do takeout, but of course they have a dine in section, though it is a bit small. It does also suffer from looking a little rundown on the inside and the outside. I think a remodel would go a long way to stimulating more business. I would definitely come to this place again when in town. read more

We really like it here. The service is always prompt and very friendly. The ambiance is nice and the seating comfortable. We've tried many of their menu options and have always been pleased. Prices are in line with similar restaurants and portions are more than adequate. They also have a bar and drink options are pretty good too. The area is safe and parking is easy and convenient in either their own lot or the large lot across the street. About all they're missing is a couple EV chargers but that's true of almost every place in this town. read more

The lunch is good but did not exceed my expectations, flavor not as deep as I'd liked, certainly not legendary, lol. Was in the area last night and finally got to try Legend after friends of ours have talked about it for a while. They are more into cooked dishes but said they the sushi looked really good. It was! We had an assortment of rolls and pieces....everything was fresh and delicious. For an appetizer, we did something that we don't normally do....get a fried thing. Jalapeño poppers. These were tempura style filled with crab and covered in a mango sauce. Definitely a spicy, crunchy, creamy and sweet treat. Service was friendly and efficient;our hot tea and water glasses were constantly being filled. Sushi platter took some time to prepare but was was worth the wait. They were quite busy-lots of takeout orders. The tables are well spaced and it doesn't feel crowded - even when all of the tables are occupied. Good spot!! read more

My son enjoyed the hibachi experience last time around so thought I take him again. I did some research between yelp and Google to find some Hibachi places around saratoga County and eliminared the hibachi restaurants that I had been to before, I ended up narrowing it down to 2 restaurants to go to this weekend. We decided to go with Legends as I have always had a positive experience dining in restaurants located in Ballston Spa. We went in, got seated, and I ask the host.....where is the hibachi grill...I just see a table....she said they offer hibachi food but not on the grill. I was disappointed but learnt something new, hibachi doesn't just mean it needs to be Cooked in front of you. Went outside, thought about it and went back in to go try their lunch specials. The food was good but I cut a star for not being able to give my son his hibachi experience. We ordered general Tso chicken, curry chicken and sushi and sashimi combo. Each lunch box came with a soup or a salad, rice, California roll and spring roll (can be replaced with goyza, shumai or edemame). I liked my curry chicken. My son his general tsos and my brother his sushi. Overall the service, food was good. The restaurant is in a strange location.....a border between commercial space and residential space.....and has ample parking. With valentines day coming up...they has some specials. read more

I've heard nothing but good things about Legend Sushi. Although it is a town away from me, my friends who live in Ballston Spa say that its a must try. I recently got a to go order of sushi rolls for two and was quite happy. The rolls were not overly stuffed with rice and the fillings seemed fresh. I had the shrimp tempura roll, salmon avocado roll, yellowtail avocado roll, spicy salmon roll, and spicy yellowtail roll with salad. Everything was carefully packed and the soy sauce containers provided were not excessive or leaking out of the bag. I say this cause a lot of establishments give you way too much sauce and I dislike having to toss away extra. What I especially liked as well is that they are mindful of their customers and disclose fully with signs in full sight of their pricing that has gone up due to rising costs in getting food supplies etc. Most places nowadays just raise their prices without letting you know and or making the necessary changes on their menus and their website. I feel this is rather inconsiderate of them and dishonest when they do not make every effort to keep customers informed. To boot when you bring it up to staff and management of them not disclosing the increases in price they are unapologetic and rude. Yuck! The chicken pad Thai was drenched in soy sauce and tasted more like salty chicken teriyaki. Nothing Pad Thai about it. The crab Rangoon was just six empty puff pastries with what seemed to be like a crab Rangoon thin hitter spread on the inside (see pictures). Worst Thai food ever. read more

I am so glad I found Legend Sushi. The Ballston Spa/Malta area needed a good sushi spot and this is it. The food was super fresh and tasty. They've got some unique rolls. They made a dietary substitution for me on two rolls. Would love it if they had GF soy sauce and maybe mark the items but I know what to stay away from. My niece kept saying, "this is the best sushi I've ever had." It looks like the entrance is on Prospect but there is actually a large parking lot and the entrance is in back. read more

Wow! We went out for my mother's 80th birthday. I always thought pad Thai was pretty much the same all over, but this had a wonderful smokey flavor. My sushi was fresh and delicious.
