Great menu selection. Like almost too much to even decide. I definitely got decision fatigue from this menu alone. I've been here perhaps two dozen times over the past 12 years and have always left feeling sated and never as if I've wasted money. They have an extensive menu for both lunch and breakfast, with a multitude of smoothies, juices, and other drinks available. Food is extremely consistent and above average in terms of taste and quantity. Quality is fine, but not the best (you won't find a ton of organic, sustainable, etc.); one reason why the prices are so reasonable. Two people can leave full and happy for $50, all-in, easily. Service is just ok. You'll find a few servers that have been there for a decade+ and they are usually the best ones. Others can forget to bring you something you requested and can seem to be doing things by rote. All told, it's tough to beat the value here in this day and age in the Bay Area. My dad was on the quest to find the new regular brunch spot in southern Marin and after stumbling on this it's been a hit with the family and friends. Great retro local spot. We felt welcome immediately upon entering. Friendly hostess and we were seated quickly. Basic fare on the menu but flexible options. Plenty of GF options to satisfy/ they work with you. Able to substitute sides and end up with fruit plus a delicious pancake. Awesome! We all had basic breakfast choices - omelettes etc were all prepared fresh and very tasty. Funny is that coffee is touted as special and we found it not so good. Oh well. After a nice hike in Mill Valley, I was looking forward to a nice thin crispy waffle from Bayside Cafe. Unfortunately for me, we came too late and they close the waffle iron once it hits prime lunch time. We asked them nicely, to no avail. I have biked by this place a million times on my way to cycling through Marin. This place is in a perfect location for cyclists. A lot of us park next to Mike's bikes and when our ride is done this is a perfect place to get lunch or breakfast. The food is affordable and service was friendly. I will definitely go back after my next long bike ride. For $8 I had a half order of french toast, eggs and bacon. Score! I don't like taking leftovers because I don't like being repetitive with my meals (I am really weird, I know). I was craving a sandwich but didn't want an entire order. They have massive portions! (*I actually should have ordered an additional item because I still ended up being hungry. My sandwich was a bit too small for me since hiking up trails is definitely a calorie burner. They were delicious- and the first biscuits I'd seen in California. I had an omelette with avocado, bacon, cheese, & sour cream and it was SO good!!! I also got a side of fresh fruit for my baby and she was pleased as well. My fiancé had a southwestern style omelette and he loved it. My sister always loves her food LOL. I had a latte that was delicious and they so nicely refilled with coffee when I finished it and there coffee was goodI LOVE that!!! I ordered the Mediterranean omelet that was so good and healthy tasting. They have many smoothies and desserts and a nice breakfast/lunch menu. We are there again on Memorial Day. They were packed and still gave amazing service, refilling water and coffee constantly. Most of the group liked their food minus a few of us. I had the breakfast burrito, which is not on the menu so I don't want to take too many stars away. It was tasteless. I had to put salt and pepper and hot sauce on every bite. The sweet potato fries, unfortunately, were not good. We received our food pretty quickly for how busy they were. I will still return for their good lattes and other dishes. read more
