Fried Chicken Sandwich and Dirty Fries
    David L.

The fried chicken had a good amount of spice and was tasty. I also got the dirty fries that tasted good , it had a good amount of garlic, just be prepared for the extra oil. The service is what made it not get 5 stars. I asked the person working the drinks if I was in the right spot to get my drink. He said I didn't serve you at the cash register, so I wouldn't know. I repeated my question in different ways several times and he kept on saying I don't know. Ultimately I was in the right spot to pick up my drink, maybe he was having a bad day. So just know that the drink pick up station is right next to the cash register to the right of it.

The location was a recommendation from a bike rental shop with a free beverage coupon. My group visited here because it was recommended and near the ferry so it's easy to get to after dinner. Order is with a cashier, and food is delivered to the table. We got our own water and utensils. The atmosphere was very casual. The food was good. The pork crackling on the dirty fries were so crispy good. The heirloom carrots came with this tzatziki sauce that was a great dip for the carrots and fries. The soup of the day was cream of broccoli. It was creamed and well blended broccoli with drops of melted cheese. The soup was light and not too heavy like other heavy cream based soups.

I recently tried this place for the first time with a big group of people after a hike. It was quite crowded with a line to get in, but since it's counter service rather than table service (place your order at the register up front, then find a seat and wait for your order to be ready), the line moved steadily. Most of the seating is long picnic bench style, and we were able to snag a significant section of one for our group. I got the fried chicken sandwich, which was awesome -- great seasoning, juicy chicken, nicely crispy batter, excellent bun. Everyone else really enjoyed their orders as well. The place is right by the water, and there's plenty of paid parking in this area. The staff up front are cheerful, efficient, and will be happy to give you advice on what to order if you're not sure. Overall a great place for a casual bite!

We had a nice lunch here while in Sausalito. They are located right on the water. As stated on their webpage, the restaurant is a beer hall and rotisserie located on Sausalito's waterfront, known for its communal atmosphere and craft beer selections. When we entered the restaurant we were warmly greeted. We studies the menu you on the wall before ordering. You order at the counter and then they give you a number to put on your table. When your food is ready, hey deliver it to your table. Both my husband and I ordered the 1/2 rotisserie chicken plate. You have a choice of a salsa verde or romanesco sauce to go with your chicken or pay an extra $1 for both sauces. I chose the both sauces and my husband chose the salsa verde. We also ordered a cup of the cream of asparagus soup, a side of cabbage and kale slaw and a straus creamery chocolate milkshake. The inside is spacious and has a lot of communal seating as well as smaller tables. They have seating on the deck by the water as well. We picked a table and enjoyed our view of the ocean while we waited for our food. Our food arrived hot and fresh. Everything looked so good. The cream of asparagus soup was my favorite of the whole meal. It tasted so good. Next time I'll opt for the bowl instead of the cup. The rotisserie chicken was hot and juicy. I'm guessing they give you the sauce because the chicken doesn't have much seasoning on it. I tried both sauces and didn't care for either one. The salsa verde did not taste good at all. It definitely didn't taste like any salsa verde I've had before. The romanesco sauce had no flavor. It was thick and pasty but tasted like nothing. I should have just added salt to my chicken. I ate the chicken regardless and it was good. It just needed some seasoning on it. Each chicken plate came with salad on the side, which was very good and roasted potatoes. The potatoes were amazing. My husband liked the cabbage and kale slaw and loved his chocolate milkshake. Service was very good here. They bussed our table for us when we were finished. I'd definitely come back again but I would try one of their many sandwich offerings.

Beautiful location in Sausalito with patio right on the water. Great service. Casual, walk up to the register type. Perfect for a bite after hiking the Marin Headlands. Recommend the porchetta sandwich!

I've been wanting to try the fried chicken sando for a long time and it was fantastic! Super crispy chicken with arugula and fennel on a toasted seeded bun. I got the chipotle aioli on the side. The fries were ok, I probably won't order them again. I got the lychee and guava drink which tasted good. A friend got the potato and leek soup which she devoured and another friend got the salad with rotisserie chicken. She loved it so much that she ate everything. I want to try the it next time. The indoor seating is a bit cramped. We sat inside since it was a chilly day. There is outdoor seating on the back deck next to the water and near the entrance along the side of the building. Parking is kind of a pain. There is parking next to the building but you have to download an app in order to pay for parking. There is free parking in the lot next to it but I decided to pay for metered parking on the main street.

We decided to check out Joinery in search of Best Day Brewing non-alc beer. They were very busy on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, but we were able to snag a table on the (dog-friendly) patio right away! The ambiance was awesome and we loved being right on the water. Unfortunately, they only had a two types of canned Best Day Brewing beer - nothing on tap. We got both the Hazy IPA and Kolsch, which were solid. For food, I chose the Burrata and Butternut Squash and my partner opted for the Joinery Burger. The Burrata was good, but not super memorable. My partner said his burger was awesome though. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, I'd happily return for the great patio vibes, but the search for non-alc beer on tap continues!

I came here for lunch one weekend afternoon. Line was out the door when I arrived 30 minutes after opening, but the line went fast and we got seated after ordering. Food came out pretty quickly after. The food here definitely describes California cuisine. I tried a variety of items, the 1/2 roasted chicken plate, fried chicken sandwich, porchetta sandwich and the dirty fries. 1/2 Roasted Chicken Plate came with a side of roasted potatoes, an argula salad, and a green sauce with half chicken. Chicken was moist but not salted enough, however, they do have condiments you can season with to your liking. Overall, decent portion size. Fried Chicken Sandwich: It had a good size fried chicken piece with a spicy aioli, shaved fennel and arugula. It was pretty well flavored and filling. The sandwich itself comes with no sides, so you would need to add on a side if you wanted to. Porchetta Sandwich: It had sliced pork with cracklings and drippings, some greens and a dressing on a ciabatta. Flavor was okay for me, a bit light. Dirty Fries: It is garlic fries with pork belly and cracklings. I wish there was more garlic and that that the cracklings would be crispy. But these are decent fries. Overall, this place is very family friendly and has a nice view to look out at. Variety of different items and food isn't too heavy.

This place is 5/5 stars for casual eating! Everything is so fresh and amazing it's so delicious. They have a good amount of options and the portions are plentiful. Service is excellent, and the vibes/location is great! Highly recommend if you want a quick healthy bite with a view.

Good place to hang out with people and a counter service restaurant. They have some outdoor seating with views of the bay. Good selection of beers. I tried the porchetta sandwich and a salad. The entree salads are large and very tasty. There is no dedicated parking lot it is all paid in the front parking lot or the street. You can use the pay by phone parking app

I LOVE the food here. Amazing sandwiches, crispy fries, and top it all off with a beautiful waterside view. I love the Porchetta sandwich, great combination of savory and fresh flavors! There are lemon slices inside to cut through the fattiness of the pork. Their chicken sandwich and burger are also phenomenal! Take the ferry over to Sausalito from SF and have a quick bite here, worth the trip every time!

The chicken sandwich was really good. I enjoyed their homemade ranch. The pulled pork tacos were underwhelming. The pork had some sort of sweetness to them, not sure what the flavor was, but, I didn't particularly care for it. Their fries were good. I'd try out more food items next time!

I have been coming here for years but realized that I have not written a review! I love eating here on a warm day, as they have a roll up door that leads out to a bayfront patio so lots of fresh air and beautiful views. My favorites are the tuna, pulled pork, and fried chicken sandwiches and the tacos are tasty too. My go to drink order is the shandy and I like that they have It's It ice cream sandwiches when I am in the mood for dessert. Service is consistently fast and efficient.

A pint of Kolsch, cheers to the Joinery and Sausalito

We booked the dining reservation and checked all the fine print. Luckily, I finally found a review saying that their children were turned away at the door before we actually left for our reservation. What a disappointment! Seems like it would be really easy to just write 21+ when you go to make a reservation if you don't want to answer the phone!

It's inside a mall, and I did not see any directories to point the way. Once we found it and sat down, I noticed the sign telling us to scan the QR code on the table to order. Honestly, that almost sent me right back out the door. I wanted an actual menu, not a tiny phone screen with lots of scrolling and submenus, especially since I had questions about the food. The atmosphere felt a bit impersonal at first, mostly because of the mall setting and the QR-code ordering system, but the friendly staff helped make it feel much more comfortable once we got settled. The two people working the front were both very pleasant, answered my questions, and made the whole experience feel much more welcoming. They had a decent IPA selection and a variety of bar foods (pizza, wings, appetizers). We ordered the arancini, fried cauliflower, and a pizza. The fried cauliflower was the surprise hit for me, especially with the garlic aioli. The arancini and pizza were also very good. The QR ordering setup still feels more frustrating than inviting, but the friendly service and surprisingly good food turned things around. In the end, I left glad that I stayed.

After a soccer game, or to celebrate something, or just on a random Tuesday night. But somewhere along the way, pizza became a delivery thing. Something to eat when I was feeling lazy. My quest to find the best pizza in San Francisco is reminding me how much I enjoy sitting down for pizza with the ones I love. And Hi Hat is one of the best spots in the city to do that. The people are super nice. There's plenty of space to cozy up, and probably a dozen beers on tap. Good, local beers, like Bare Bottle. Cellarmaker. Ghost Town. And yes, the food is really really good. Especially the pizza. They're known for their spicy vodka and Stracciatella which has this creamy, garlicky sauce...and a slow burn to it. I really enjoyed it. And the jersey pie, which is really all about the tomatoes. My wife LOVED it. I thought it was good....in a simple pleasures kinda way. You can these by the slice, and after 9PM slices are three bucks. But some pies, you can only get whole. Like this sausage and ricotta pizza that I absolutely loved. And of all the NY style spots I've tried on this quest, this might be my favorite crust. I asked their pizza tosser how he does it. It's a five day process, and they keep the dough cold until the second it goes in the oven. That traps the air bubbles inside. And those bubbles are what give it this airy, crispy, fluffy crust.
