I was looking for a chill spot that had coffee & food so I could do work on my laptop. I found Wildflour on Yelp but I also checked out their IG & saw Adonis review them & said to get their bread pudding. The bread pudding looked so good so I had to try it. I got the BLT with kettle chips, an iced latte & of course the bread pudding. Their pastries & bread are made in-house which I love. BLT was filling & I had to take half of it home bc their bread pudding was massive, especially for 1 person. The whip cream is fresh & the bread pudding is crispy & soft in the right spots. It was also nice & warm. I ate the whole thing & have no regrets. The place is cute! There's a small parking garage - if you go on IG, there's a video that shows you how to get there. There's also street parking. I was able to find a seat in the bar to eat & work. If you order in, you'll do it through a QR code on your table. You can also ask for a hard copy of the menu. Taylor Swift, Michael Bublé, and Bruno Mars songs really seemed to fit the vibe here. I ordered a caramel latte, hot, with whole milk and sugar. It was served with simple and sleek latte art and was amazingly delicious! I had also ordered the Passionfruit danish and it was sooo good! Crispy on the outside with a delicate fluffiness of a croissant on the inside. Topped with a sweet, tart passion fruit icing and three sliced blackberries. I wanted to order another but they were pretty pricey at $6. My friend ordered the Basic sandwich which was FAR from basic! It had prosciutto, soppressata, brie, burrata, olives, cherry tomatoes, caper berries, balsamic glaze w olive oil, all placed in between two fluffy slices of focaccia wildflour bread. I am NOT a focaccia fan because there always seems to be a hard crispiness I do not like but let me TELL YOU- this bread was delectable! My friend insisted i have half his sandwich and I really did not want the half until I gazed at the burrata for a few mins. Sheeesh- I bit in and an orchestra of flavor filled my senses! This review is for the grab and go pastries. I stopped by Wildflour on my way to the train. It's been on my bookmarks for some time now. The indoor seating is well decorated and perfect for grabbing lunch with a friend or working remotely. There are also a few tables outside. I picked up a kouign aman and passion fruit danish. Four stars for the pastry, one star for the matcha. It all balances out. This cafe is tucked right by the corner of the South San Francisco Caltrain. I'm usually perpetually late to my commute, but I decided to give Wildflour a try one day. I ordered the chocolate babka and a matcha latte. The matcha latte just tastes like bitter milk. Not everyone needs to jump on the matcha craze, some places should just stick to what they're good at. The chocolate babka was so yummy, the workers heated it up for me and it was delicious and had such a pretty presentation. Very fluffy dough and layered texture. I would come back for one of their coffee beverages and another one of their creative pastries! The Husband and kids checked out Wildflour last year and raved about it. We were in town so I finally got my chance. We did have to take ours to go since we were on a time crunch. * Ndjua $18 - This was a flavor explosion! I'm not even sure if I've had nduja before, but it's a spicy pork salami that is spreadable. And it was delicious with the burrata, herb oil, and toasted focaccia. * Smoked Trout Dip $19 - Although I enjoyed the dip, I wasn't too fond of the buckwheat waffle. I'm not sure if it was because it was a bit soft since it was to go order. But I would have preferred this on toasted focaccia or crackers instead. * Prosciutto Sandwich $21- The Little Guy devoured this on his own, so I did get to try a little bit of it the next day as a leftover. It took a while to scroll through and choose. I much prefer the printed menu. To pay, you have to either close your tab right after ordering or remember to close the tab before leaving. The wildflour cookie is the best! MUST TRY! The strawberries and white chocolate were very pronounced yet they worked very nicely together. Easily one of my top cookies ever. The caramelized onion dip was also phenomenal. Perfectly rich and savory, and the milk bread pretzels that came with it were soft and airy. I come here minimum one to three times a month and every single time I'll try something new on the menu whether it's seasonal or just something else. The sandwiches are all absolutely delicious! I'll be sitting there completely satisfied and then I'll smell the room of bacon and want to try another sandwich! I've also tried the ham and egg biscuit which is delightful -- flakey goodness and such a strong delicious cheese. Perfect saltiness and not to crumbly. Before catching an international flight out of SFO, my dad, husband, and I came to Wildflower for a bite to eat. Parking can be a little challenging, but we managed to find a spot on the street nearby. We placed our orders - two Cubano sandwiches and one chicken bacon ranch sandwich. We also could not resist trying their bread pudding. The bread pudding came out first - because who doesn't want to eat dessert first?! It was absolutely delicious! It had fresh cream and fresh blackberries on top. It was perfectly sweet without being too dense or too sugary. Next, our sandwiches came out and when I say this is hands-down one of the best Cubano sandwiches I ever had in my life, I mean it with my whole being. The bread was so fresh and had the perfect chew. The meat was tender, and the cheese was perfectly melted. I could literally eat a sandwich from here every single day and be absolutely content. A hidden gem near the SSF bart station on Airport Boulevard. I was impressed with the menu, drawn to the "France" Farmstand board with the exotic sounding snacks. Gougéres, cornichons, saucisson sec, Gruyere cheese , triple creme brie, soaked in a blackberry grastriqie. butter dipped radishes( coated in a butter ganache, chicken liver pâte. All foods that are so rich and intense in flavor, that the combination seemed an abundance of indulgence. It was only 10 am on a Monday morning and I had come in for coffee and when the gougeres caught my eye ( I had them last at my sister's wedding and have craved these gruyere laden cheese puffs ever since). I realized that the French charcuterie board was a bargain at &25, versus just the 3 mini gougeres for $8. Service at the tables is via Qr code and my board ( a branded slab of wood( took about 10 minutes to arrive. The French Board was a feast for the eyes. Every item looked amazing and it was fun to put interesting combos of the food together. Thank goodness for the cornichons, blackberries and grainy, seedy mustard providing acid to cut through the richness of the other ingredients. The radishes were gorgeous and the combination of blackberries with brie was an unexpected delight. The much anticipated gougeres were very good, but not quite as airy and light as rhe ones experienced at Michelin star establishment, Spruce. The salami rose was quite beautiful and the delicate crock of pâte, glistening with schmaltz were impressive and delicious, but a taste of each made me almost queasy with the high fat content. We all know fat=flavor, but this amalgamation of snacks was a lot! My favorite bite, turned out to be a light smear of pâte, a sliver of radish and one of sharp pickled coornichon with a single bitter sprout and a tiny bit of mustard on a Wildflour cracker. He mentioned that everything was made in house. They offer pastries, sandwiches, and charcuterie boards. The decor makes the place feel airy, modern, and comfortable. I decided to try the Milk Bread Pretzel with mustard. It was warmed up which gave a nice touch on top was the everything bagel seasoning. My brother had the Iced Latte. He said it was pretty good. Honestly the bright and colorful mural drew me into this place and the coffee made me stay. I ordered a latte and the flavor was great and came fast. Also the staff here were incredible and top notch, like seriously they were smiling the whole time. This place is underneath a luxury apartment complex and it has that luxury apartment vibe (new and sterile). I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 only because I had to order on an app and because there was no latte art, that might seem crazy but this is the first shop I've been to that didn't even attempt any latte art. The space is large and roomy, making it a great place to meet up, have a casual meeting, or get some work done. It tasted incredibly fresh, with freshly whipped cream and just the right level of sweetness , not overly sweet at all. So I came back the following weekend on Saturday for dinner to give them a try. Parking is a bit tricky as their is retail parking in the garage...but there are only 8-10 spots, so best bet is to park near Grand Ave and walk over. Luckily, it was pretty empty when we went in the evening and there were plenty of spots. The cafe has an inviting open kitchen with a bar and beers on tap. Ambiance is chic, modern and bright with a relaxing and chill vibe. There is a bar seating area along with a few larger tables for groups. Service was friendly and attentive. It was only Darwin that was in on that evening, but he did a great job checking in on our group and getting waters for us(which is self-serve). There are QR codes for ordering at the tables. We ordered: 1) Chopped Italian with Kettle Chips(7/10) - A decent sandwich; came with a lightly toasted with the chopped italian filling; which was fresh, crunchy, flavorful....but a little bit too salty for my liking. 2) Cubano with Spinach Salad(8.5/10) - A very good version of a Cubano. The bread was toasted well with a slight crunchy exterior and soft interior. The bread to filling ratio was on par. There was a great balance of flavors from the tangy mustard and pickles to the flavorful ham and tender pork shoulder with the gooey swiss cheese. The salad was fresh and came with a vinaigrette dressing on the side. 3) Flight of Beers(7/10) - We were curious about a few of the draft beers they had and decided to get a flight to give them a try. We tried the Drake's Juicy Hoot, Fort Point Lobos, Henhouse Oyster Stout and Drake's Amber Ale. They were all enjoyable, but the one that surprised me were the Juicy Hoot, which was different from a typically IPA and the Oyster Stout(which was may favorite). For $12, it was a great way to see what experience different beers that I don't usually order. The star of the show is the bread. The bread was really good, one of the best that I've had so far. The right amount of bite/give on the crust/exterior and then you greeted with a airy/fluffy interior. I asked the owner, Darwin, if they sold just the bread by itself; sadly not yet, but maybe in the future! It was close to closing time and Darwin gave us BOGO for their left over pastries in the front and I decided to try out their Everything Seasoning Milk Bread(comes with spicy stone ground mustard) and Focaccia. I heated both of those in the oven for a few minutes for lunch the next day and they were both really good as well! On a previous instance, I did order the matcha latte(5.7/10) which I thought was just okay; but their food and beer is what I would recommend when coming here. Service was great and most things on the menu sounded good. Prices may be a tad high depending on what you order. They make most things there and I saw some of the baked item being freshly made. I believe even the bread for the sandwiches is homemade. I tried a biscuit sandwich with ham, havarti and eggs. It was a bit one note and could have used a condiment or something. The best part was definitely the eggs which were made with care and delicious. The biscuit was pretty good also. Also tried some of the garlic focaccia which had fontina cheese. I thought the cheese was unnecessary and prefer my focaccia a little chewier but it was a solid choice. Coffee was pretty good and is Equator Coffee. Parking was a bit confusing but there is a garage where they have dedicated spots (I think the street you enter on is Baden) and there is also some street parking on Airport Road though that was all taken. I got a few items to go: bread pudding, chocolate chip cookie, strawberry cookie. Bread pudding was yummy. The bread was well soaked in the custard so it was almost creamy without any dry spots. It had crystalized sugar sprinkles on top so that gave it some crunchy texture. The Strawberry cookie had pieces of fresh strawberries in it. Soft moist cookie, sweet with some sourness from the strawberries. The chocolate chip cookie had a little bit of rock salt on top. Most inside a little crunchy outside. It's thick like a hockey puck. We're suckers for new coffee shops and saw this spot pop up so decided to give it a try when they first opened and left satisfied. The owner Darwin, was super friendly & welcoming when we first walked in. Ambience was relaxing and interior is nice and bright. We saw a lot of customers reading while enjoying some coffee and sandwiches. My first thought was that I could see myself enjoying a cup of coffee while reading on my kindle. We ordered the chopped Italian and the prosciutto sandwiches for a quick lunch. I really enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich a lot, the chopped Italian was a little bit of a miss for me because while the sandwich is packed, it was a little difficult to eat without everything spilling out (I get it, it's a "chopped" Italian.) We walked in and I loved how opened space they were, we had the full visual of their kitchen and bakery where they make their pastries and coffee. We saw the pastries all on display that made me tried one of them which I forgot the name. We ordered a bunch of things! My husband's favorite was the caramelized onion dip they have paired with their pretzel. For my friend's favorite was the sandwich that we got which I also forgot the name (I apologize for the memory). My favorite was actually their Cesar salad, which was surprising as I never usually would note a place's Cesar salad as something I liked the most. We actually enjoyed everything we ate, and obviously over ordered that we brought home the leftovers and ate them again for dinner. Chill vibe, relaxing atmosphere. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. My fiance and I stopped by to grab something to go. It seems like they have a lot of options for charcuterie board, so it would be a cute place to dine in. We ended up grabbing a cookie and a biscuit ham and cheese sandwich to go. They heated them up for us. The biscuit sandwich was amazing, we both loved it a lot and thought it was the best biscuit we've had in a sandwich. The cookie was really good as well - it was huge, soft with a slight crunch. I do wish they had more options to choose from for variety, but they do a great job with what they have in the current selection. Parking : they have an apartment parking garage with a few spots designated for retail. Wildflour is the only retail in the area for now, but it looks like more will be opening up. I'm not sure where or how parking would work because I didn't see street parking around. read more

This place is new, clean, and friendly! It has amazing open windows that allow beautiful lighting in andddd it has a great amount of seating inside and outside. I came on a Friday morning to have a small bite and coffee. I ordered their passion fruit pastry, the breakfast biscuit, and two drinks. One drink was the mocha and the other was a cappuccino. This passion fruit pastry was soooo good!!! It was perfectly sweetened and the berries on top were so fresh. Everything we ordered was so amazing. I came back for the breakfast sandwiches and they did not disappoint at all. I got the breakfast panini and biscuit sandwich - both of which were really good! The star of the show is the biscuit sandwich. The biscuit had a nice buttery crunch on the outside and was moist on the inside. I would totally come back to order a dozen of these biscuits if I can! Wildflour is a hidden gem that's tucked a little bit away from the heart of downtown SSF. At first glance I thought it was a breakfast bakery/cafe serving only coffee/tea and pastries, but it also gives cute happy hour vibes with a handful of appetizers (mostly dips), cheese boards, sandwiches, and a selection of wine and beers. The hubby and I came for brunch and shared the coconut bun, nduja appetizer, and hot coppa sandwich. We also got coffee and a matcha latte. I'm personally not a coconut fan, but it was buttery and nicely toasted on the outside yet still soft inside. Someone who likes coconut would probably like it. We liked the hot coppa, but I think the nduja was the highlight of our meal. If you, like me prior to googling, don't know, nduja is a type of pork sausage made with Calabrian chilies. The saltiness and kick of the sausage nicely balanced out the creamy burrata, and the focaccia was perfect. I liked the nduja so much I even spread it on my sandwich. I think the only disappointment was my matcha latte. I thought the matcha flavor was very light when I was drinking it, and after I finished I realized there were large clumps of matcha left in the cup so it wasn't well whisked. Good food, cute interior. Would definitely go back and try more pastries (milk bread pretzel, I'm eyeing you!) and the cheeseboards. read more

I've heard only good things about Wildflour! My sweet friend, Terry K., was in town, and after picking her up from the airport, we visited Wildflour for caffeine and a small bite. Loved my experience and would love to come back! We arrived early on a weekday morning. The space operates as a bakery in the morning and a beer space in the evening. We were warmly welcomed by the owner who was friendly and kind. The layout is gorgeous with all of the bright and opened windows. It's super cute and chic and I liked the mural. There are ample tables and bar seating for all party sizes plus outdoor seating. I hope to take my pup soon! I needed caffeine so I had an Iced Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. My friend and I ordered pastries to share, and I got the Kouign Amman. It was good, flaky, and had a nice caramelized exterior with a soft interior. Next time I'd like to try their other baked goods! Wildflour deserves recognition because it's a hidden gem! I'm so glad my friend showed me this place and I wish I lived closer because I'd be a regular. Everything is good and the staff are lovely. Great addition to downtown SSF. The spot is a bit tucked away and off the main drag of Grand Avenue, but worth checking out! I have always found parking in the retail lot (entrance at Baden). I learned of this business in a Peninsula Foodist article and was excited to try it out. My party enjoyed all the items we ordered - pastries, pretzel, pimento spread, and Aged & Ablaze charcuterie board. The board was filled to the brim with fruit, nuts, meats, cheese, jalapenos, lemon ricotta, and a spicy(!!) but tasty house made habanero jam. The pretzel went well with the pimento spread, which was reminiscent of the version my mom would make growing up! I think Wildflour really shines with their baked goods such as their bread, cookies, and pastries like Kouign amann and coconut bun. Wildflour is also a good spot for a coffee break if you come in the morning or want a lighter bite. They use an online ordering platform so make sure to close out your tab as that option doesn't automatically pop-up after placing your order in case you want to add more items. Service was attentive with the owner personally seating us, waiting tables, and refilling our water throughout the night. The place has a fun, contemporary atmosphere that's perfect for unwinding and relaxing. I will be back to try one of their sandwiches and other pastries. read more

I came with a friend and her two daughters. We were told 10-15 minutes for a table. It took like 30. When we were seated we ordered right away because we were hungry. They served 3/4 of the drinks and didn't even get the fourth person water. Then served one pastry we ordered (out of five orders of food) with one set of utensils. They told us that the power was fritzing on and off. No water no more food nothing. We gave up and left because the two kiddos were super hungry. The whole experience about 60 minutes. Their kouign Amman was delicious. Their service to customers who were inconvenienced was not delicious and was lacking finesse and this is why I'm giving 1 star. 7 min walk away is brothers cafe no waiting and the Swedish pancakes are chefs kiss and the staff super warm and welcoming. read more

The combo of everything bagel seasoning and Dijon mustard was great. Not too overpowering. - Their charcuterie and sandwiches sound delish, but we went for breakfast.
