We visited twice within one week. The first visit was for a business dinner in their private dining room, which comfortably seats 10 (12 if you squeeze). The room is lovely, and both the food and service were solid. We selected one of their prix fixe menus, which was reasonably priced for an all-inclusive dinner (alcohol not included), and overall it was a good experience. Based on that visit, we returned for a second meal, which unfortunately did not live up to the first. While the restaurant has a great view, it can only really be enjoyed if you're seated outside. The food was inconsistent: the butter lettuce salad was bland and came with very few pieces of hearts of palm, though the tuna tartare was excellent. The biggest disappointment was the Delmonico steak. It was served barely warm and covered in a demi-glace-style sauce that overpowered rather than complemented the meat. Since this was the main course, it significantly impacted the overall meal. The mushroom pasta was flavorful but served in a very small portion. One standout was the cheesecake brûlée, which our server recommended and which was excellent. If you're coming from outside Tiburon, it's a bit of a trek and parking is not free. Service was excellent on both visits, but the inconsistency between meals makes this a three-star experience overall.

My family and I greatly enjoyed dining here to celebrate my birthday during brunch last Sunday. The music- forward ambience was unique and inviting. The soundtrack was perfect! We loved the full bar and the fact that they had the Super Bowl on! Views of the serene Bay were absolutely picturesque and the decor/seating was cushy and inviting. Our waiter was excellent and knowledgeable and we didn't have one bad dish! My toddler loved the buttered noodles (they seemed freshly made), the cocktails, Shakshuka and Cesar salad were so delicious. I also loved the Tartare and fried mushrooms. Cannot wait to return. I can see my family and I celebrating plenty more special occasions at The BK

Our brunch experience at The Bungalow Kitchen in Tiburon was nothing short of exceptional,a perfectly curated journey through flavor, elegance, and hospitality. We opted for the Brunch Prix Fixe menu ($49 per person), selecting two appetizers and two entrées, and every single dish exceeded expectations. To begin, the Jalapeño Lobster Toast was a standout. The lobster was incredibly tender and sweet, elevated by a delicate kick from the jalapeño, the ginger aïoli added a subtle warmth. Each bite was layered, balanced, and deeply satisfying. Equally impressive was Michael Mina's Ahi Tuna Tartare (well worth the supplement). This dish was a masterpiece of freshness and complexity. The tuna was pristine, melting in the mouth, while the combination of mint, chilis, and Asian pear created a mix of coolness, heat, and sweetness. The pine nuts added a welcome crunch, and the garlic habanero-sesame oil delivered a bold, aromatic depth that made the dish very unique. For the main course, the Bungalow Benedict was pure comfort elevated to perfection. Served on a beautifully toasted Model Bakery English muffin, the Canadian bacon was rich and savory, while the poached eggs were cooked flawlessly, their yolks silky and indulgent. The hollandaise was luxuriously smooth while the breakfast potatoes on the side were crisp, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The Steak Frites Au Poivre (also a supplement) was another highlight. The filet medallions were cooked exactly to temperature (we asked for med rare) tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The au poivre sauce added a refined peppery richness that complemented the meat beautifully. The crinkle-cut fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside! Dessert was the perfect finale. The Brûléed Basque Cheesecake was extraordinary, so creamy and rich with a delicately caramelized top that added depth and texture. The Three Layer Chocolate Cake was pure decadence. Moist, rich, and intensely chocolatey, it was elevated by the lightness of whipped crème fraîche. The salted caramel sauce tied everything together with a perfect sweet-salty finish....you can tell I'm a chocoholic! Beyond the food, the ambiance deserves special mention. The space is incredibly refined, with a soothing palette of pastel tones that immediately invites relaxation. The décor draws inspiration from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, creating an atmosphere that feels both timeless and thoughtfully curated. Everything is immaculate, contributing to an overall sense of understated luxury. Finally, the service truly elevated the entire experience. The General Manager, Giovanni, was outstanding. He guided us through every detail of the menu, offering thoughtful explanations and perfectly pairing wines with each course. His presence was attentive yet never intrusive, making us feel completely at ease. His professionalism, warmth, and deep knowledge added a personal touch that made the experience truly memorable. RECCOMENDED!

This is such a cute place. The food was delicious. Portions were a bit small, but, it's the norm when it's a nice place. Our server Juan Carmelo was amazing. He was attentive and friendly. The views are fantastic! What we ordered: Petite ROmaine Ceasar Salad = 9/10 Jalapeno Lobster Toast = 10/10 Delmonico Ribeye = 10/10 Miso-Broiled Sea Bass = 9/10 Key Lime Pie = 10/10 I want to return and try the Lobster Pot Pie and some oysters!

HIDDEN HAVEN The bungalow kitchen was a stunning restaurant that will absolutely be going back to again. I'm also so thankful that their food matches the location. It is a bit on the price your side however I believe the experience is absolutely worth it. We finished with a bottle of the NA white wine, a coffee, the chocolate cake. We started the night with the beef tartare roll, the tuna tartare, broccolini, and the 8 oz sirloin steak. The food was absolutely superb. I will say the broccoli was delicious but $20 for broccolini is just kind of a lot and the tuna tartar roll was small but it was honestly absolutely delicious and would get again. The filet mignon was delicious, and the meat was extremely soft and delicious. The service was also ridiculously good and we were celebrating a friend's birthday and they brought out a little pastry for her. Our server was the sweetest girl and we had so much fun with her! (Forgot her name) Please go and try if u haven't!

I've come across this place a few times on Social Media. Due to it being a really nice day in SF/Marin area. I decided to finally give this place a try. I made a same day reservation and was lucky enough to snag a table for 2ppl at 5pm on a Saturday. When we arrived we were greeted by hostess who told us to wait a few minutes for our table. 5 minutes after arriving we were seated. Since it was such a nice day out I preferred to sit outdoors; and hostess was kind enough to give oblige. We were handed two menus and when I say my mouth almost fell into my lap when I seen those prices lol. The menu was pretty small and straightforward. Lots of seafood options but what stuck out to me was how outrageous the cost of Lobster pot pie was 130 for single serving pot pie seemed criminal. But since it was such a nice day in Marin and we liked the ambiance and menu options we decided to stay. Ambiance 5/5 Beautiful Restaurant that's overlooking the Bay. The decor and aesthetic of this place is very intimate but inviting. Great place for any occasion. They also have an upstairs area where you can host parties that overlooks the Bay! Drink: Electric Feel 5/5 that contains Cinnamon-Infused Grey Goose Vodka, Green Chartreuse, Banana, Matcha, Coconut milk. Very good drink and for how small this was they made sure to go heavy on alcohol which I liked. It tastes kinda like a spike cinnamon Matcha. Apps: Jalapeño Lobster Toast 5/5 when I tried this dish it tasted like a crispy sushi Roll. Very nice flavor and would definitely recommend. Warm parked House Rolls: 5/5 Another good app but then again how much can you mess up on bread? Loved the pepper honey it came with to spread onto bread. Entrees: whole Roasted Sumac Branzino 5/5 Cooked to perfection loved the crispy skin. This fish was also very flavorful. Side San Francisco Garlic Noodles 3/5 to go along with my fish I decided to try their Garlic Noodles. They were ok, a little on the salty side and were lacking a bit on the garlic. Waygu Burger: 5/5 This dish isn't on their dinner menu but my friend wanted something more simple and asked if they had a burger. To our surprise the waitress said they could make one. It was a Good standard Waygu burger that came with all the fixings and side of fries. My friend said she enjoyed it. At the end of the meal, we were stuffed and decided to skip dessert. Overall, this is a Great place to dine for any occasion. I love the view of the Bay and the food is good. I would definitely say this is more of a special occasion place due to its pricy menu. But it surely won't disappoint if you decided to dine here on a whim on nice hot day!

We've been here a few times for brunch, and always have a wonderful time. First, the view is everything. Sitting on the patio, on a clear morning, looking out over the bay - nothing is better than that. Second, the food is delicious. The last time we were here for brunch, we got the chicken wings and a pastry basket, and I had the yogurt bowl and lobster pot pie. Presentation is lovely. 10/10 would visit again.

Squid ink pasta - on point.

Tried the Bungalow Kitchen last night. As a Michael Mina fan I already had a pretty good idea about how the experience would be and it matched my expectations. I expected a busy, upscale dining experience with a busy dining room and familiar menu compared to other places like Bourbon Steak. As expected everything I had was on point. Service was good. The view of SF on a clear January night was spectacular, and overall the experience was worth the trip out to Tiburon. Rather than dive into each dish this time I'll just say the squid ink pasta I had was very good. I'd return.

Had a wonderful Saturday Brunch the weekend before Thanksgiving - not crowded, perfect weather and delicious food. Enjoyed the Price Fixed Menu ($49) with a selection of an appetizer and entree. First visit and shared the following: :: Tempura Maitake - light, crunchy, meaty but mild earthy flavor and sprinkled with Togarashi and side of Yuzu aioli 3.5/5 :: Jalapeno Lobster Toast with sesame - flavorful, crunchy, nutty with a hint of sweet seafood flavor - 4/5 :: Creme Brulee Toast - with berry compote and vanilla bean marscapone - crispy, crunchy sweet exterior and custardy interior. With a well balanced compote - not overly sweet and that marscapone was so good! - 5/5 :: Double Double Burger - usually wouldn't order a burger but it's a Michael Mina burger so it's gotta be good! It was crispy on the outside with some char and perfectly cooked inside with American cheese and secret sauce - 5/5 House crinkle fries - 3.5/5 - crispy (enough) but not my fave style of fries. Just a preference Overall, food was 4 stars and delicious. Service was on point, friendly, welcoming and not forced. David was our server (Table 92) and was very efficient and professional. Service elevated this visit to 5 stars. Seating outside was nice but not the most comfortable cushions. I felt like I was sinking....lol...Weather was warm but they had the outdoor patio heaters on so got a bit too warm. Bring your sunglasses as you think you'll be enjoying the water view but end up turning your back due to the sun shining on your face. I saw 2 customers at different tables doing just that. Would definitely return for dinner. Price/person with tax/tip: $70 and 2 non-alcoholic drinks. Parking nearby for 3 hrs $15.

Beautiful restaurant in a perfect location! We were a little lost at first, but once we found it, we were seated outside right away. The weather was perfect, which made the experience even better. The salmon was absolutely delicious -- cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The service was amazing from start to finish. I highly recommend this place 100%!

Last night, my best friend and I dined at this restaurant for her 32nd birthday. I've been here once more for a work event a little over two years ago and haven't been able to stop thinking about the restaurant since then. Both of us are huge foodies and Michael Mina fans, so we were extra excited to have dinner here. From the very beginning service was top-tier. From the hostess to the bus boys to our server, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our server provided excellent meal suggestions, two of which we ordered based off of her recommendation. Let's not forget about the ambience! The best way I can describe this restaurant is if Tommy Bahama had a hipster millennial kid who wanted to create a fine dining experience for the Bay Area. You get this beautiful elevated restaurant with mood lighting, and open air, right by the water and it is absolutely stunning. Whoever crafted the interior of this restaurant deserves a raise! My biggest regret was not taking photos of the inside of the restaurant because it's truly impeccable. We had a few cocktails at the bar before sitting down for dinner, sparkling wine, with our meal, the surf and turf (octopus, and chorizo with potatoes), tuna tartar (which is a featured item at his Michelin starred restaurant in San Francisco), the spinach and cheese puff pastry, and a fattoush salad. We live about an hour away and talked about the meal the entire drive back to our homes. I can't say enough positive things about how good the food was and the overall experience.

Great place for brunch with reasonable price for the 3 courses brunch option, not to mention the view. Full size.portion too. The bloody Mary's with protein added is a must for bloody Mary's lover...that thick millionaire bacon, yes please!!! Make it extra spicy, heck and extra shot...lol guarantee your Sunday will definitely be a fun day. Service was friendly and food arrived promptly. If you want to splurge the lobster pot pie is not to be miss. Our guest from San Diego vows that they would make a trip tonTiburin just for the pot pie, however if your are lactose intolerance then skip it because it's rich in cream. Overall everything we tried was good and good value. We will be back!

Wow! This gorgeous waterfront restaurant was such a beautiful surprise! We stumbled upon Tiburon after visiting Sausalito and decided to stay for the night. The Bungalow Kitchen restaurant is situated right in the main downtown area of Tiburon on the wharf. We watched the last ferry drop off its passengers at 6pm ish. Service was exceptional! Walking in the two hostesses took our name and asked if we wanted inside or outside seating - of course we asked for outside and we sat straight away. Adrianne was our server - she was very professional, friendly and offered some great suggestions which worked perfectly! We ordered: Lemon drop Fries Miso-Broiled Sea Bass (GF) Pea Purée, Asparagus, Chanterelle Mushrooms * Free Range-Organic Chicken Breast Corn Agnolotti, English Peas, Truffle Butter Glaze * Chef Daniela's Dungeness Crab Empanadas (GF/CC) Corn Masa, Cilantro-Avocado Purée, Harissa Aïoli $200.00 approximately. The food was 10/10! The Chicken and sea bass were so juicy and tender and the vegetables were crunchy and fresh! Delicious! If you're ever in Tiburon - you have to dine here. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family!

The Bungalow Kitchen Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - The Bungalow Kitchen

    Where disabled people can park?

The restaurant offers valet service. For self park, perhaps you can call the restaurant for the closest designated parking spaces reserved for individuals with disabilities.

Is it dog friendly? Ok to bring dogs in outdoor seating?

    Yes, dogs ok outside

    Is it super dressy?

We went during brunch and it was a mix of people very casually dressed while others were dressed up a bit. So whatever your comfort!

    Do you have vegan options?

No. We called 2 days in advance asking just for a vegetarian option (not vegan) & were incorrectly told they could accommodate. Two hours after arrival after sitting and waiting they offered a salad.

Does it become 21 and over after a certain time?

Friday and Saturday for Late Night - after 10pm yes it is 21+

    Is there a Happy Hour?

Yes Wed-Sun 4-6pm they offer Sunset Sips with Cocktail, Beer & Wine specials + a lite bites menu

Is this place still open? Went to the address and could not find the restaurant. Update: found it!…

The restaurant is in the back, towards the water. Not easy to find, but valet parking is offered.

What's the parking situation? Off-street? Valet, how much?

I believe valet was $10. They have street parking nearby (as you're driving towards the restaurant), and I believe those lots are free after 5pm. There is also a parking garage (paid) as well as a larger paid parking lot.

Can we just pop in for a drink at the bar without a reservation?

Yes! Sitting at the bar is fun. I'd arrive on the earlier side like 5:30. It gets crowded.

Do you have gift certificates available for purchase?

Absolutely, you can come in anytime we are open and purchase a gift certificate. Inquire at the host stand or your server if you are dining.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor searing area? Many thanks

If they're not allowed, call Yelp and have them change the info section.

I ordered fish, and it was the smallest piece I've ever had. My husband had pasta with shrimp; unfortunately, they used the smallest and cheapest shrimp available. The Caesar salad was nothing special, no flavor, and we had to ask for extra dressing. The calamari appetizer didn't look appealing and lacked a fresh, vibrant color. Nothing was included with my $44 fish dish, so I had to order a side of roasted potatoes for extra $8, which were not fresh at all. When I asked our waiter, he said they make them daily, which likely means they were made anytime in the morning. Overall, it was not worth the $198 we spent on a tasteless dinner.
