I recently got into grad school and I wanted to also celebrate me and my partners two month anniversary since being together. This was a perfect place to go, especially on a nice sunny day. We sat outside on the patio, it did get a little roasty toasty under the sun but it was nice being able to see the water and the city. The service was a tiny bit slow, but overall fast, considering that the place was packed to the room with reservations and walk-ins. The servers were really cute and accommodating for everything, and the food was spectacular. I'm not a huge fan of oysters ( or at least I thought I wasnt) but this definitely changed my mind. It's super fresh, the sauce is pair really well, and the whole vid a good ambulance for me to get back into oysters. If you get a chance, grab the coconut ceviche for a little twist on a classic ceviche... There are slices of coconut and slices of fish with mangoes and tomatoes, which was so tasty. The crab tacos were a whole other deal as well since it wasn't on tortilla, but rather a rice paper kind of wrapping. Super fresh crab, and very juicy and creamy. BEWARE parking is terrible, it's usually crazy packed, and there's a lot of other restaurants and bars around the area which also add to the density. I would recommend this area for adults - couples, friends, older family members. I probably wouldn't recommend this for kids since it's a bit more busy but classy. The duck breast was cooked well with a perfectly crispy skin. They paired it with leeks and a purple sweet potato croquette. The Parker rolls were soft and served with house made butter, they also served us a basil butter which was a good play on their farm to table theme. The blackened shrimp tacos were well seasoned and the sides super fresh. Overall very pleased with Malibu Farm and glad we got to enjoy the waterfront on the weekend. Showed up on a Saturday afternoon on Mother's Day weekend. We took the SF Ferry over which delivers you right to the restaurant. Beautiful location. They have a wonderful ocean view. We walked in with no reservations but there was plenty of seating available at the bar. We were a party of 4, so if you want a table be sure to grab reservations ahead of time. We ordered the baked and raw oysters and we enjoyed the former much more and pleasantly surprised. It's casual so don't feel like you have to dress up too much. I saw that they did a good job of redirecting some under 21 patrons as they attempted to sit at the bar. The bar server forgot to provide us silverware with our plates but was very patient with us while we figured out our order. We also ordered the tuna poke cone, the short rib bao-- the baked oysters were best and the other dishes were good and filling. The tuna poke is just one cone, not ideal for sharing. Came here with medium expectations. Totally disappointed. It's honesty, Denny's quality. The ingredients are trash and cheap. The steak was all fat and tough, the potatoes under cooked with weird sauce that wasn't even quality. The avocado pizza was awful. The poke wasn't good. I didn't even know it was possible to mess up oysters. The only things they got right was the wine. I can't even elaborate on it the food was so bad. It's a cute place. The staff were nice(except the buss boy who tried to take my glass of wine before it was finished). If I'm gonna go to a decent restaurant I expect the food to be at least decent. Also, the benches at the tables are hard as hell. But inside they have fuzzy little carpet outside you're just screwed. They need to get something more comfortable.. Came to Malibu Farm for an early birthday late lunch and had an amazing experience. I have now been to all of the Malibu Farm locations, and none of them have ever disappointed! I do have to mention the menu is pretty pricy, but if you are up for the splurge I would say it's worth it! There are also many heaters outdoor so you can enjoy the view without freezing. We started with the crab tacos, finished with a squeeze of lime. Light, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The lingcod ceviche with taro chips was another win. Such a great pairing, and I loved that the taro chips were ginormous- perfect for scooping up every bite. The ahi tuna was hands-down my favorite. At $17 per cone, one was more than enough to share between two people--and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. For dessert, we went with the butterscotch pudding. Velvety, not overly sweet, and a lovely, satisfying finish to the meal. I could have stayed all afternoon watching sailboats glide by and people-watching as the ferry unloaded. Ehhhh. Came on a weekday at 3:45pm and was advise the 2nd floor is only for entrees and not apps/drinks. Okay....? There was plenty of space upstairs that I noticed, when I went up to use the restroom, but no budge. We were seated outside on the 1st floor. The views are beautiful regardless. We got drinks and a Trio of oysters. This is where my experience went bad. The oysters were not fresh. The raw oysters had more shell than I would like, and they were very pungent and fishy. The wood oven oysters... I spit it out. I knew instantly it had gone bad. My assumption is that when their oysters are no longer acceptable to serve raw, they try to cook it down to reduce waste. It turns out more than one oyster had gone bad... and we spent an eternity trying to flag down a server, that would conveniently avoid all eye contact. Keep in mind it is a weekday afternoon and not busy at all. One oyster fine, that happens, but multiple? That isn't by chance. We sent it back and afterward I felt like we were treated like criminals with more avoidance. After a long time our server came back and agreed the chef said something is wrong with the oysters. Yes, I could tell you that too. No apology, no further acknowledgement that they were rotten, just "We will refund you per oyster." LOL. I hate a place that cannot hold accountability. Just say it how it is and learn from it, but I felt like it was trying to be swept under the rug. Needless to say, I do not want to spend 48 hours on the toilet so I will not be coming back. We were even willing to wait for a seating of 2 since they said the other tables were for bigger parties. Holy hell this sandwich changed my brother! (Inside joke) We came for a family lunch while in Marin. The service was mostly good once seated but the host stand seemed to be having major issues. We checked in for our reservation 30 mins early and were told they were completely booked until our meal time. This wouldn't have been an issue except there were literally 10+ open tables, open seats at the bar, etc the entire time we waited. Only at our reservation time were we then seated at one of said tables all while the lobby filled with other guests also not being seated in an empty-ish restaurant. I ordered the artichoke pizza- decent albeit rich and definitely a fork and knife pizza situation. Others at the table said their food was good. The views were really nice bring in the harbor and waterfront. I did see a giant rat scurrying immediately outside the open air / door restaurant but I suppose it comes with being near the docks / only so much the restaurant can do. Made Saturday reservations for my party of 5 the day before and most of the available slots were in the afternoon. We were seated indoors on the second floor. I think overall the food was fairly solid for a restaurant that I feel is more for the views/vibes. We shared the Swedish pancakes, artichoke pizza, Maine lobster sliders, ahi poke cones, Malibu blue nachos with steak, and the spicy patatas bravas. My favorite was probably the Malibu blue nachos with steak (though an additional $18 for the steak was pretty steep). The Swedish pancakes were tiny circles and plentiful but I felt like it focused more on quantity than quality. Ahi poke cones were pretty good and generous with the amount of poke, but I thought the sesame cone they came in were alright and would've been better as a wonton chip type of cone. The cone felt a bit too waffle-like and didn't really complement the poke in my opinion. The patatas bravas weren't at the crispiness level that we would've preferred, but the flavor was good. Overall I feel like the food wasn't bad, but also wasn't particularly mindblowing either. Definitely more for experiencing the ambiance. Today (8/1), I had brunch here with two girlfriends. I made the reservation a week in advance, requested patio seating in the reservation notes, and even called ahead. We arrived shortly after the restaurant opened, but they refused to seat us near the water even though there were five empty waterfront tables. We were told they "only seat parties of four" in that section. I asked multiple times--both the host stand and the manager--but they still wouldn't accommodate us, despite the tables remaining empty. What made it even more frustrating was that they later seated another MUlTIPLE parties of three in that exact section (see photos). It was disappointing to make the reservation in advance, arrive early, and still not receive the seating we requested while watching another group of the same size get those tables. Based on this experience, I won't be returning. read more

It's pretty near the ferry, so the location is quite convenient to get to. We made a reservation beforehand so we were seated quickly once our party arrived, and if the weather is nice you should definitely sit on the patio because the view is great! For the food we decided to get the Swedish Pancakes, Surfers Rancheros, and the Smoked Salmon Pizza. While the food is on the pricier side given the location, all of the dishes were quite tasty and well-made. I particularly enjoyed the Surfers Rancheros, which had a good crisp to it and lots of flavor. Overall, this is a solid place to check out if you're ever visiting in Tiburon! read more

On top of that, the food was so good. We got the street corn salad, fig and pig pizza, nachos with hanger steak and the ahi poke cones. All were so good! I wish the cones were slightly bigger or offered more for the price it was. We had 4 people and thought the larger price was for 4 cones. Regardless it was still super good. The fig and pig pizza was not my particular choice since it had the jam on it but it wasn't bad. It was more of a super fresh and refreshing pizza. The nachos were the star of the show. I think us coming straight from a hike made us hungrier but the steak paired so well with the nachos and the chips were so fresh and crispy. Overall the place was beautiful and the food was amazing. Well with the the wait. Me and the wife I've been trying to go here for the past year. Finally got to try this place this past weekend. The place is decorated very nicely and the views are very beautiful on a nice day. It took a while for us to get an outside table but worth the wait as well. Everyone was very friendly and courteous and helpful with the menu. So many different things to try but ended up getting the poki cone, scallops, artichoke pizza, and the shrimp tacos.
