The ahi poke cones were another standout and are absolutely worth ordering. The cocktail menu is equally impressive. The Let It Snow was our favorite--tropical, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. Came here late on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and we were greeted by the staff promptly. We opted for the Parker rolls, the blackened shrimp tacos, and the duck breast. The duck breast was cooked well with a perfectly crispy skin. They paired it with leeks and a purple sweet potato croquette. The Parker rolls were soft and served with house made butter, they also served us a basil butter which was a good play on their farm to table theme. The blackened shrimp tacos were well seasoned and the sides super fresh. Overall very pleased with Malibu Farm and glad we got to enjoy the waterfront on the weekend. Showed up on a Saturday afternoon on Mother's Day weekend. We took the SF Ferry over which delivers you right to the restaurant. Beautiful location. They have a wonderful ocean view. We walked in with no reservations but there was plenty of seating available at the bar. We were a party of 4, so if you want a table be sure to grab reservations ahead of time. We ordered the baked and raw oysters and we enjoyed the former much more and pleasantly surprised. It's casual so don't feel like you have to dress up too much. I saw that they did a good job of redirecting some under 21 patrons as they attempted to sit at the bar. The bar server forgot to provide us silverware with our plates but was very patient with us while we figured out our order. We also ordered the tuna poke cone, the short rib bao-- the baked oysters were best and the other dishes were good and filling. The tuna poke is just one cone, not ideal for sharing. We were even willing to wait for a seating of 2 since they said the other tables were for bigger parties. I am not an oyster person at all I tried two of their oysters cooked & raw and they were both delicious. Next I had the lobster roll perfect bite to share and they were so good warmed. Holy hell this sandwich changed my brother! (Inside joke) We came for a family lunch while in Marin. The service was mostly good once seated but the host stand seemed to be having major issues. We checked in for our reservation 30 mins early and were told they were completely booked until our meal time. This wouldn't have been an issue except there were literally 10+ open tables, open seats at the bar, etc the entire time we waited. Only at our reservation time were we then seated at one of said tables all while the lobby filled with other guests also not being seated in an empty-ish restaurant. I ordered the artichoke pizza- decent albeit rich and definitely a fork and knife pizza situation. Others at the table said their food was good. The views were really nice bring in the harbor and waterfront. I did see a giant rat scurrying immediately outside the open air / door restaurant but I suppose it comes with being near the docks / only so much the restaurant can do. Made Saturday reservations for my party of 5 the day before and most of the available slots were in the afternoon. We were seated indoors on the second floor. I think overall the food was fairly solid for a restaurant that I feel is more for the views/vibes. We shared the Swedish pancakes, artichoke pizza, Maine lobster sliders, ahi poke cones, Malibu blue nachos with steak, and the spicy patatas bravas. My favorite was probably the Malibu blue nachos with steak (though an additional $18 for the steak was pretty steep). The Swedish pancakes were tiny circles and plentiful but I felt like it focused more on quantity than quality. Ahi poke cones were pretty good and generous with the amount of poke, but I thought the sesame cone they came in were alright and would've been better as a wonton chip type of cone. The cone felt a bit too waffle-like and didn't really complement the poke in my opinion. The patatas bravas weren't at the crispiness level that we would've preferred, but the flavor was good. Overall I feel like the food wasn't bad, but also wasn't particularly mindblowing either. Definitely more for experiencing the ambiance. Service was wonderful and all of our dishes came out at the exact same time which was a nice touch! Food presentation was nice too. read more

We started with the crab tacos, finished with a squeeze of lime. Light, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. The lingcod ceviche with taro chips was another win. Such a great pairing, and I loved that the taro chips were ginormous- perfect for scooping up every bite. The ahi tuna was hands-down my favorite. At $17 per cone, one was more than enough to share between two people--and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. For dessert, we went with the butterscotch pudding. Ehhhh. Came on a weekday at 3:45pm and was advise the 2nd floor is only for entrees and not apps/drinks. Okay....? There was plenty of space upstairs that I noticed, when I went up to use the restroom, but no budge. We were seated outside on the 1st floor. The views are beautiful regardless. We got drinks and a Trio of oysters. This is where my experience went bad. The oysters were not fresh. The raw oysters had more shell than I would like, and they were very pungent and fishy. The wood oven oysters... I spit it out. I knew instantly it had gone bad. My assumption is that when their oysters are no longer acceptable to serve raw, they try to cook it down to reduce waste. It turns out more than one oyster had gone bad... and we spent an eternity trying to flag down a server, that would conveniently avoid all eye contact. Keep in mind it is a weekday afternoon and not busy at all. One oyster fine, that happens, but multiple? That isn't by chance. We sent it back and afterward I felt like we were treated like criminals with more avoidance. After a long time our server came back and agreed the chef said something is wrong with the oysters. Yes, I could tell you that too. No apology, no further acknowledgement that they were rotten, just "We will refund you per oyster." LOL. I hate a place that cannot hold accountability. Just say it how it is and learn from it, but I felt like it was trying to be swept under the rug. Needless to say, I do not want to spend 48 hours on the toilet so I will not be coming back. Parkerhouse rolls were good, but just 3 two-bite ones baked in a skillet for $8. Oven roasted oysters $14 for 3 were really small and came out cold - guessing that if they actually heated them, they would shrink to size of a raisin. Steak skewers, $16 for two littlest ones about the length of two toothpicks. The pork cheek bacon in the skewers was nothing more than slices of inedible disgusting undercooked fat with no meat. The only thing this place has going for it is the location and the waterfront view. We will not be back and do not recommend. read more

When we were visiting Tiburon, Malibu Farm was a restaurant that another friend of ours recommended that we check out while we were there. It's pretty near the ferry, so the location is quite convenient to get to. We made a reservation beforehand so we were seated quickly once our party arrived, and if the weather is nice you should definitely sit on the patio because the view is great! For the food we decided to get the Swedish Pancakes, Surfers Rancheros, and the Smoked Salmon Pizza. While the food is on the pricier side given the location, all of the dishes were quite tasty and well-made. I particularly enjoyed the Surfers Rancheros, which had a good crisp to it and lots of flavor. Overall, this is a solid place to check out if you're ever visiting in Tiburon! read more

I got the surfers rancheros and thought it was good. I like the pickled onions on top. My partner got the steak. It was okay. Pretty generous amount of lobster too Miso broiled sea bass: 4/5 the miso baste was a bit sweet for me, but my first bite also contained a lot of it to be fair. Rest of the fish was amazing and tender. The pea sauce on the side was kind of strange. Bering sea king crab spaghetti: 4/5 topped with generous amount of crab, this was great for a few bites but too acidic/tomato-ey for me after a while. Having dined at a few other Michael Mina restaurants I expected a candle lit experience but considering the location it made sense that it was more casual and inclusive. Could get loud depending who you're sitting next to The views and aesthetic of this restaurant are very lovely. That being said, the food was mid Nothing stood out at all and I was near starving before coming here so you would think everything would taste heaven sent. The service was very pleasant, nice and attentive. The only negative thing I have to say was the cup I was given of ice for my drink was very dirty. It had green residue maybe from like green smoothie my server took care of it and gave me a new Coke. On top of that, the food was so good. We got the street corn salad, fig and pig pizza, nachos with hanger steak and the ahi poke cones. All were so good! I wish the cones were slightly bigger or offered more for the price it was. We had 4 people and thought the larger price was for 4 cones. Regardless it was still super good. The fig and pig pizza was not my particular choice since it had the jam on it but it wasn't bad. It was more of a super fresh and refreshing pizza. The nachos were the star of the show. There are options for every dietary preference and some of the food is really unique. The pistachio tiramisu for instance was easily one of the most delicious deserts that I've ever tasted. I ordered the quinoa oatmeal and it was so good. Malibu farms doesn't do any flavor half way. They capture the ingredient and present it to you boldly. The lemonade was strongly lemon. The kale and apple juice was pure kale essence. The pistachio tiramisu was pure pistachio. I loved the bold flavor profiles and their commitment to flavor. I was a little disappointed with just one aspect of the service. I came here with my friend to celebrate our birthdays and we noticed a lot of people getting deserts with candles in it and singing so we thought that this would be a complementary treat. Our server offered a desert menu so we thought we got to pick... he asked if we wanted a candle and we said yes but we found out they ended up charging us for the desert lol.
