Chicken Cesar wrap with paprika chips
    Erika S.

I love a good chicken Caesar wrap, and Mama's Luncheonette is my favorite to date. The chicken-to-lettuce ratio is just right, the croutons add the perfect amount of crunch without being overpowering, and the chips were a flavorful addition.

This place had a lot of hype on social media, and I was excited to try, but I didn't feel it was worth it. There was too much dressing in the wrap and the lettuce was welted. The presentation and flavor were good and I liked the chips on the side. Portion size was average. Not sure if I'll return because I felt like the overall quality and price didn't justify another visit.

Wow. So yummy and refreshing. So many people with good music. Quick service and good to grab on the go. I split it with my friend and it was the perfect amount

Mama's Luncheonette is a little gem I first heard about from an influencer. My mom loves a good, simple wrap, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Caesar wrap with the smoky paprika chips, and it was delicious--simple, fresh, and flavorful. And I'm a sucker for a good homemade kettle chip! At the end of our 3 night Mill Valley trip, I asked my mom what her favorite meal had been, and without hesitation, she said, "Mama's Luncheonette!"

I don't get the hype. My best friend and her daughter ordered the lamb wrap before me while I reserved one of the two tables outside. We sat together for awhile before I went in to order at the makeshift table with ready to go lemonades. I ordered next and my food came immediately in a to go box. My friend's food came on a plate freshly made. $30 for a salad wrapped in a cold tortilla and a strawberry lemonade with tip is criminal. So expensive for lettuce wrapped in a tortilla. Chicken was nonexistent, what fancy croutons?, bland. A buffalo inspired hot sauce that comes on the side saved the sandwich. Chips were fine. The lamb wrap doesn't come with chips but I had no problem sharing mine.

I ordered the tikka masala wrap and my daughter ordered the Caesar wrap. Both were good. I thought the tikka masala wrap was better. I liked the mix of contrasting flavors and unusual ingredients (slaw and pickles). I would return. I'd like to try one of the breakfast options.

The service is really great and this location is a huge difference from sf because you can actually sit and enjoy your food. I enjoyed the matcha lemonade which was so good! Breakfast burrito I was nice but didn't enjoy the huge slabs of brisket that weren't cut up like they usually are. Overall great experience and friendly staff.

Strolled in here last week after seeing their new tuna sandwich on Instagram. It looked so good, I had to try it. It did not disappoint! If you like tuna sandos, you need to try it. It was truly perfect. Plus, it was a good sized sandwich, I ate half for lunch and half for a snack later in the day. Could see this being fire after a hike in Mount Tam. Yum! Recommend!

I like the name. That was the hook. "Mama's" makes me think of either Southern comfort/hospitality or a recipe brought down across generations haha. I had their Egg McLovin for breakfast. I like how it's not quite a normal "burger/sandwich". Think burger, but patty is chicken sausage, bun is a flaky English muffin, and onions are grilled (like In n Out), and sauce is harissa aioli! Also, they offer some hot sauce if you want. I heard this place is known for its wraps though, so I will try that next time. Good thing they opened a location closer to where I am!

We were in the area and noticed that they opened a Mama's Luncheonette here! We live in SF but there's always a huge line in the Marina location - there wasn't any here, so we decided to take advantage so we (read: I) could try the viral chicken Caesar salad wrap. I've seen mixed reviews but decided to save judgement for when I actually had it. Quick affair to order, sit down, and receive the food. It's on the pricier side (got up to $18 ish after I was done paying) but the wrap is huge. I ended up only eating half and saving the rest for later. If I ignore the price, it's a really really good wrap. The salad was dressed well and there's a lot of flavor in the chicken bits (which are really large by the way!). If the line wasn't always so long in SF, I would get this a lot more often. My friends got the breakfast burrito with bacon included, and they said it was also really good. Lives up to the hype, but it's not a regular lunch option for me due to price and accessibility. Worth a try though if you've got time or you're swinging by/live in Mill Valley.

Served me a burned wrap, of course I discovered it after I drove home. Guys, you saw you burned it, you still wrapped it up and let me have it, unacceptable! I don't have to come back and ask you to remake it. This is considered burned and not only anyone would want to eat it, it messes up the flavor even it the black parts are ripped off

Highly recommend! Over and over again! This is one of our favorite places in mill valley we stop by almost every Saturday and we live in Napa the drive is worth it. They have the absolute best staff and exceptional service! The consistency and quality of the food is superb, we have never once been dissatisfied. They recently catered our baby shower and it was a big hit! Everyone asked if we had extras to enjoy for dinner and take home. Ambiance is cool calms collective great little shops around the area. Cannot say enough good things. Truly the best of the best!

I came here upon opening at about 945am, excited to try their chicken caesar wrap and get the lamb wrap for my friend. If you're in a rush, don't come right when they open. There's no online ordering, no call ahead, and the food isn't ready right away. I think it took about 15 mins for my order, which ended being just the chicken wrap. The lamb isn't available until 12pm. I wish they would've had that info somewhere on their menu. The place was very cute, super clean. Designed to look like an old fashioned diner. The guy at the register was awesome, very friendly, hustling behind the counter trying to make everything run smooth. The young lady just stood there, looking like she was day dreaming. The chicken Caesar wrap was delicious and fresh. I will say that everyone has a different palate, because it was a bit on the sour side for me. I prefer my Caesar heavy on the anchovies and creamy. I ended up going back for the lamb, and my friend said it was phenomenal. I'll be going back again to try the breakfast wraps and will report back.

We usually sit in the park behind the deli and look at the house boats while we eat our sandwiches. So nice. I love the sandwiches because they make all the meats and toppings fresh every day and create really creative, delicious sandwiches. It's hard to find sandwiches with real homemade meats and lots of veggies and homemade sauces that aren't mustard or Russian dressing. I also love the Twerks, which is the delicious veggie topping combo you can get on your sandwiches: Spinach, Arugula, Cucumber, Carrots, Radish, Beets, Green Sprouts & Bean Sprouts, Salt, Fresh Lemon, Pepper, Roasted Garlic and Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauces. I usually get the turkey pesto melt with the twerks, and it's a top five sandwich. I dream about it. I've tried some of the veggie wraps, my partner loves the pork sandwiches, and my daughter gets a grilled cheese on Dutch crunch. All delicious. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes before I realized my order hadn't even been sent to the kitchen. After I moved seats, the employee noticed me and then finally handed my order to the cook. From there, I waited another 10+ minutes while the two customers who ordered after me got their food and left. When I asked about my order, I was told it would be another 5 minutes--at that point I had already been waiting close to 30 minutes for a simple meal. To make things worse, the staff started talking in Spanish assuming I wouldn't understand, saying I should've been told it would take 20 minutes. One of them even claimed he told me that--which was completely untrue. Long wait times happen, but poor communication and ignoring a customer's order is unacceptable. I came around 4:30pm, and the restaurant was empty, so we were seated immediately. Service was quick and efficient. I did hear a lot of the loud conversation between the two girls at the register about Instagram and TikTok.... I ordered the super burrito, which was nicely toasted, but overall it was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it didn't stand out either. There was no real spice or bold flavor, and I couldn't quite figure out what it was missing. The horchata was pretty basic. It tasted more like plain milk with cinnamon sprinkled on top rather than the richer, more flavorful horchata you'd expect. I also tried the Baja fish tacos, which were disappointing. The fish wasn't crispy enough and lacked flavor. The tortilla was easily breaking apart. It's like they took the tortilla straight out of the bag because it was cold and didn't look cooked. It came with tortilla chips that were over-fried and borderline burnt, though I wasn't sure if that was intentional. Another reason this ended up being a lower rating for me is the owner's response to feedback. As you can see in other reviews, Tommy tends to get very defensive when customers leave criticism, which I found pretty unprofessional. After I posted my review, he actually messaged me directly (see screenshot), which was honestly off-putting. Yelp is meant to be a space for customers to share their honest experiences, whether positive or negative, and responding in that way doesn't reflect well on the business. I also live in San Francisco, where there's no shortage of authentic and high-quality Mexican food, so I stand by my opinion. Being told my palate isn't "on point" felt dismissive rather than constructive. If anything, I'd just caution others that if you leave feedback here, be prepared for a defensive response from ownership, which may impact your overall experience beyond just the food. Overall, I was surprised given the strong reviews. The meal felt pretty bland across the board, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. Also the owner's attitude doesn't deserve any business. After the owners negative and defensive responses, I know I won't come back.
